saw the movie popcorn::" its complicated "today its a laugh out loud movie loved it show time was a matinee so i saved alittle on ticket prices i went to a loews since amc raised prices

DH (secretly) &I want to watch that movie cuz it seems like a riot but he's embrassed of walking out of the theatre after the movie is over. We are in our early 30's and he thinks it more of a mature audience type of movie. Heck I say funny is funny and I would stick to movies before noon here at our AMC as the tix price is only $6 each.

Tell him to wear sunglasses and a hat. No one will recognise him.....

Seriously? Your other half won't see a movie because he's embarrassed someone might recognise him seeing it?

if he won't go than go with a friend you will enjoy it i'm young too and so were alot of young peoplee in the show watching this movie

I am 39 and went with my similarly aged friends. There were teens in front of us. The movie is hysterical. We went to the movies to see The Blind Side, and it was sold out, so we went to this....and I am so glad we did! Alec Baldwin is hysterical, and Meryl Streep is by far the best actress of our time....I mean, this woman can pull anything off! Love her in every movie she's been in!

The movie appeals to anyone, old and young, who have been touched by divorce in some way. Which is just about everyone I think these days.
I give credit to Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin for taking an over done story line and making it a fun two hours.

Agreed - I saw this last night with a girlfriend and we thought it was funny. I also liked how it didn't force a predictable ending (not saying more as to not give anything away).

Absolutely Loved this movie!! You are right though, movie prices are ridiculous. I went last night on 42Nd st. in NYC and I think the tickets were $12 bucks a piece

Who was the guy who played the daughters fiancee? When he sees his future inlaws check into the hotel I thought I'd lose it.

I saw it the other day (dh and my boys went to see Avatar, but I had absolutely no interest in seeing it) and while I was one of the younger ones there (and I'm 42), there were plenty of people under 40. The place was packed.

I loved the movie. I rarely laugh out loud and I did throughout it. It was kind of sad in a couple of places, too. Just a really good movie.

That was hilarious! His name is something like Jon Krasinski (Kasinski?). Very funny. I believe he's in the tv show The Office.

I saw it with my mom and my aunt. I'm 41, my aunt is in her 50's and my mom is in her 60's. We were all laughing out loud! Funny movie!

Here is the budget part of my post: we saw it at our local independently owned theater. The tickets are only $5 for a matinee and $6 for evening shows. They always show first run films. Anyway, the movie was about 20 minutes late in starting. The projectionist never showed up. The owner of the theater came and gave us an update, saying she sent someone to pick up the projectionist and the movie should start shortly (if you couldn't wait, you could get a refund). Well, finally the movie started, etc.

As we were leaving, the owner of the theater gave everyone a pass for a free movie. I thanked her, and she replied "You're welcome. It's the right thing to do.".....

And THIS is why I like to support local small businesses!:thumbsup2
