ITS COMING -Nov. 2014 Free Dining - waiting, watching, wishing & worrying thread

I am hoping someone could help...I am traveling nov 5-11. If free dining starts nov 9, can I get free dining for my whole trip or just starting from the 9th? My dates never fell into free dining before so I am new to this.

With the dates you have listed you won't be eligible for free dining. It is a minimum 3 night stay and you would have to check out on November 9th and check back in for a three night stay. Since you are leaving on the 11th, that won't qualify you for free dining since its only two nights.

You would either have to change up your dates or join the rest of us who will be enjoying Disney without the "free" food.

Thank you so much for your help. That is kind of what I thought. Disney without free dining it is!

I'm at Disneyworld from the 12-18th of nov which is covered I have already booked deluxe dining with our room at Pop, am I right that to keep the deluxe I just need to pay $18 something?

Upgrading from the 2 counter service meals (which is what is offered with the value resorts) to the regular dining with 1 counter meal and 1 table meal is $18.65 per person per day ($3.20 for children). You also need to figure in the cost of tipping at the table service meals.

If you are talking about true deluxe dining, the cost would be considerably more.

Sorry yes I meant the regular dining. Since I was already planning to pay full price for dining $18.65 doesn't sound too bad to me.

Oh well, not going to change my trip but would have been nice to save that money.

Approx when do they announce the resort discounts? We are staying at the WL so a discount would be nice on that if we can't have free dining.

I'll be at Pop the same exact dates!! We are sticking with Quick Service dining plan this year.. going to only 2 table service dinners (BOG and HDDR). Trying to take it easy on the food this year. Not having to be somewhere each day for once will be great.

Thank you for the info on the free dining!!! We don't have a reservation currently booked at all. Would it be easier when I call if I already have a reservation and we would just add free dining? Or should I just hold off and start from scratch when free dining comes out?

Start from scratch.

I received a package deal in the mail the other day and was super excited. Was hoping it was a good discount and called and booked our reservation with the option to put our down payment in 7 days. After looking more closely and then consulting with my travel agent we discovered it was no deal at all. :sad2: I am letting my reservation cancel and then hope that it will trigger a pin code since I've read this sometimes works. Why did they tease me??? :rolleyes2 Anyway, I have booked our trip but will change the dates and/or hotel if a really good deal comes up. I can make ADR's in less than a month!!!

I have gotten about 4 of these 3 digit/letter PINS in an email and one even by mail in the last year. I caught onto what it was on the very first one! They make it seem like you will save a lot of money and get a great discount. I went online and princed a package and it was really no different from the flyer I recieved. I just ignore them now when I get them. Some people actually book with them thinking they are getting great rates when its really only rack rates. I have my eyes on the 15 digit PINS only!!! ::yes::

We are going during the dates but have deluxe dining already selected for or value resort.. I wonder how much we could receive back or if we have to drop down to regular??

You can pay the difference between quick service and deluxe.
