"It's Coming and it's BLUE" - A July 2010 TR - COMPLETED!!

I was JUST thinking about your today and what do I see when I sign on to the DIS? An update! Yay!!

First of all, the reason I was thinking of you two-fold. My sister and I bought tickets for something you would totally love! Secondly, Kurt was going to the same thing! (Skipping out on Friday Night dinner to do it, btw! For shame, Kurt!) Did you guess??

Sound of Music sing-along! I don't know if it's all over the country but there are two dates in theaters near me, both Tuesday nights. Oct. 19th and 26th.

I love seeing the pictures you took of Canada. It really is one of the more beautiful pavilions and it's hard to appreciate seeing it all at once, especially with Le Cellier on the brain! But looking at your pictures made me go "hmm" (it's one of the "things" they sing about!) and now I want to explore the country even more next time! BTW, I often get those South Park movie songs in my head. Do you know that song was nominated for an academy award!? It definitely is not the best song in the movie but probably the least of the inappropriate! I hope they put that on Broadway one day....
Nikki! I was actually just thinking of you the other day too! In my hip hop class, we're learning a bunch of steps from the 90s and we did the Humpty Dance. It reminded me of your TR. :rotfl:

Oh my gosh! Sound of Music sing-a-long! It's funny, my mom texted me during Glee and she was like, "I'd have let you miss Friday Night dinner to go to a Sound of Music sing-a-long." I love my mom! But that's awesome that you're going...I really wanna go to one!

Ah! If they ever put the South Park Movie on Broadway I will die. It would be AMAZING!!!
:rotfl: We totally sing "Blame Canada" when we're in Canada at Epcot too!

And I can hear the angels singing.......LE CELLIER!! By far, this was Fiance's favorite meal back in March. I actually have the recipe to make that cheddar cheese soup in one of my WDW cookbooks! If you wanted the recipe I could give it to you sometime this weekend when I am home!

Yum! The filet mignon! Good choice by Mom and Dad! :thumbsup2

And isn't the chocolate moose SO cute?! It took me a few minutes to finally cave in and start eating it.
OMG. I'd love the recipe! Have you ever tried to make it? Is it relatively easy? I'm not the greatest cook.

I think I've decided that next time I'm going to get the filet. Even if I'm SUPER full and can only eat half, it'll still be worth it. Except I'll probably sub the risotto for the cream cheese mashed potatoes because those sound AMAZING. I'm a mashed potato-aholic.

I had the same problem. My sister dug right into hers, but I didn't wanna ruin the little guy. But then my dessert addiction took over and I had no problem devouring it. :rotfl: It was delicious.

Ok, I'm not even CLOSE to being caught up and didn't even read all of your latest update but I just gotta say this...

I FREAKIN LOVE SOUTH PARK. Omg, I love you for making that reference. Like, SO MUCH. Love that song too. -I- sing it sometimes! It's awesome.

To be a citizen of Canada, you just need to pass some citizenship tests, live here for 4 years and voila! You're Canadian! But I think you should just stick with fake Canada cause I don't know of many places here that serve Cheddar Cheese Soup. We DO have awesome potato and cheddar soups though. Ok, I'll have a real response when I'm finally done catching up.

Love the Canada pictures! Glad you finally got to Le Cellier, it's so fantastic! I was a little weird about it the first time I went last year because of all the hype, I didn't think it could be THAT good, but it sooooo was! Now my DH requires me to stalk the Disney website like some lunatic so I can get a 2nd Le Cellier ADR for our trip next month (all the stalking paid off, in case your wondering, I got a 2nd ADR!) because he loves it SO much! :rotfl:

That Red Maple sounds so good! :cool1: And the cheddar cheese soup is probably the best thing in all of WDW to eat...I mean, it just doesn't get much better than that! I've seen recipes for it online, but I'm too afraid to make it...what if it's terrible? Then again, what if it's not and it's exactly the same? It's all I would eat!:rotfl:

Definitely get the mushroom filet next time, it is amazing...I hate mushrooms but I just push them off the top and it's fine. And I sub the risotto with the mashed potatoes too...you can't have steak without mashed potatoes, in my opinion. :yay:

Canada, you dumped Justin Bieber on us.

I didn't know he was Canadian. I go out of my to avoid all things Bieber! Blame Canada! Blame Canada!

Your Red Maple looks delicious.

Great update! I love the Canada gardens...they might be my favorite in all the WS.

I actually did something shocking yesterday. I passed up a Le Cellier reservation!

Have you picked yourself up off the floor yet? :rotfl: Thing was, the ressie was for 8:30, and I knew that if I'm in Epcot anywhere near 9:00, I have to see Illuminations. I will even pass up Le Cellier for it.

It did give me hope, though, that the ADR opened up in the first place! I remember back when we'd walk up to Le Cellier all the time for lunch without a reservation, no problem...I guess those were the good ol' days! ;)

Your food looks so delicious at Le Cellier  I wonder if we should change our Les Chefs de France ressie to Le Cellier (my DS17 wants to try French food but probably will still only order steak so wonder if Le Cellier is better :confused3)

South Park is awesome. It's such a smart show.

Hmmm...I guess I'll just have to stick with fake!Canada. Although the potato and cheddar soup does sound good....Clearly I need to make all of my major life decisions based upon deliciousness of the soups available to me.

Love the Canada pictures! Glad you finally got to Le Cellier, it's so fantastic! Wow, a 2nd ADR? That's awesome. Can I tag along and hide under your table? You could just happen to "drop" a bowl of soup and a piece of pretzel bread down there for me to devour. :rotfl:

And I totally agree about the "you can't have steak without mashed potatoes" thing. Or a baked potato. I just can't eat a steak without a potato of some sort.
I didn't know he was Canadian. I go out of my to avoid all things Bieber! Blame Canada! Blame Canada!

Yep, he's Canadian. Oh, Canada...

The Red Maple was VERY good.

Oh, I don't blame you for that. Illuminations is the ONE thing I would be willing to pass up a Le Cellier reservation for. Illuminations is my absolute favorite thing in all of WDW. :thumbsup2
Oh yeah.....I try to forget Beiber's "one of us"......
I don't blame you. I'm just glad I don't have to consider the Biebs "one of us".
Your food looks so delicious at Le Cellier  I wonder if we should change our Les Chefs de France ressie to Le Cellier (my DS17 wants to try French food but probably will still only order steak so wonder if Le Cellier is better :confused3)
I've never been to Les Chefs, but I know there are a lot of people who really like it. It's on my list of places I want to eat during our next trip. If all he's going to order is a steak, you might consider changing it because the steaks at Le Cellier are DELICIOUS, but I really don't think you'll go wrong either way.

Loved the Bieber and Nickelback comments... I am glad Le Cellier exceeded your expectations! I have a ressie for Feb, and I am trying not to get too excited. But with your review posted, I am not sure that is possible.

Hey!

I can totally relate with the college craziness! In fact my mock trial team is headed to OSU next weekend and I was wondering if you could recommend any awesome food or hang out places?

My daughter and I think it is so funny that the only place we get Canadian cheddar cheese soup is in Florida-Never seen it here. Love your comment about marrying the waiter with his Canadian accent. We were in Michigan and this girl said she wanted to marry a British guy so her kids would sound like my daughter

Oh my God kill me. KILL ME!! I just read your update and during it, I typed up a whole big response and noooow it's goooneeee. LIFE, I hate you.

OK moving on. As Jennifer Aniston's character on Cougar Town who's name I can't recall says... "My anger is a puddle. I will simply step out of it."

WHEW.

Ok that didn't work.

I HATE COMPUTERS!!!!!!!! WE SHOULD SCRAWL EVERYTHING ON PARCHMENT JUST LIKE OUR ANCESTORS AND HARRY POTTER!!! PARCHMENT NEVER FREEZES UP AND GIVES YOU AN ERROR MESSAGE.

Well. Sigh. SPEAKING OF TV!!! The live 30 Rock was EPIC.

My favorite part was my boyfriend, Alec Baldwin, draped in a shawl. Plus everything else. It was just that good. NO, I was not able to score tickets. My life is a deep dark pit of sorrow!!!!

Anyway.

Let's get this thing cracking. Again.

I was laughing before I even began reading because of your title. They just added a Taco Bell onto our local KFC, and any time we drive by/I am reminded of it in any way, I start to go "Taco taco taco!! Taco flavored kisses for my Beeeeeeeen!!!"

Everyone I know is so sick of me.

I love that you were staring down various Epcot guests. Picture it, people! Hilarious!!

I also want to live in that weird Canada area. I say weird b/c it's like up those stairs and all and no one is ever back/up there. Everyone is too busy offering certain services and their entire life insurance plan to the hostesses at Le Cellier. And I loooove that Canadian store. I wanted everything in there. Jealous of your moose shorts!!

We had the same predicament with the pretty gardens. My mom was all "Ooohh!! Pretty!!! Let's stop and take photos." and I was all "NO.NEED.SOUP.NOW.COME!!!!!!!!!!"

We made it inside the restaurant without anyone jumping out, murdering us, and stealing our identities so that they could use our ADR (THANK GOD)

OH MY GOD did you see me??? I was hiding in the bushes with a candlestick, some rope, and a wrench. What could go wrong? Well, it turns out, a lot. But I spared you guys cause I like you. Kinda.

I'm so glad Le Cellier lived up to your expectations. What a pity that you can not turn your stomach into a human garbage disposal the way that I can. I don't even know what this salad thing you speak of is. But if they have it at Le Cellier, it must be good! And oooh... that drink you got looks yuuuummmy! But...why was I waiting for bad news? Didn't you tell me something bad happened at Le Cellier? I could have just made that up...my mind is a frightening place LOL. Who knows!

HI FRIENDS!!! I'm sorry for going MIA again, but life has been so chaotic lately. I'm ridiculously overwhelmed with school, I think I'm getting sick, and it's 5:00 AM and I'm still up writing a paper. Thank god I don't have class until later tomorrow (errr...today) otherwise I would be dead.

I'm not sure if this is just because it's 5:00 AM and my crazy self is still up but I just about burst into tears thinking about how badly I want to be at WDW right now. OMG. Then I was stupid and listened to the Illuminations music and I just really want nothing more than to be sitting around the lagoon, listening to the Pre-Illuminations Techno Dance Party music (which you'll hear A LOT about in one of my next few updates which will probably get posted 3 years from now at the rate I'm going but whatevs), goofing around with my family, and feeling perfectly content with my life.

I'm not sure that made any sense at all, but I just had to come and post that because I know you'd all be able to sympathize with me. Why am I even bothering with school? Why can't I just be a professional Disney vacationer? I'd be perfect at that.

Anyway, I promise I'll be back to get to all of your comments and catch up on all of your TRs sometime this weekend once this week from hell is over. AND I promise I will update this crazy thing as well. I don't even remember where I left off....Oh, right Le Cellier. DARN IT! Now I'm thinking about the soup. Ugh...Oh soup, why must you be so delicious? Why am I not writing a paper about how delicious you are?

Before I keep distracting myself anymore, I'm gonna go, but I hope all is well in all of your lives, my lovely readers, and I'll be back with an update soon! :thumbsup2

I'm here... I've been reading disneygirl's TR the past couple of days and after seeing some of the conversations the two of you were having over there, I decided to check your TR out with hopes that it is as entertaining as your posts there. I've just begun reading part of the PTR, and so far I'm enjoying it. I look forward to catching up and reading about your trip!

I just have to say that I'm from Big Ten country too so let me just say this... Boiler up!

Omg Kara, I was JUST LIKE THAT yesterday! I was at work and this sudden need to be at WDW RIGHT NOW just RUSHED over me. I wanted to be at Pop Century RIGHT NOW. I went to Allears and just watched the slide show of Pop pictures over and over again.

I even started entertaining the idea of driving down during the winter break.......Oh gawd, we're in such a Disney withdrawal....

HI GUYS! My week from hell is OVER so I'm finally here to catch up on all of your comments. I will hopefully be posting the next update sometime this weekend!

I'm sure you'll love Le Cellier. I mean, going into it, I tried to keep my expectations low (which was next to impossible with all of the hype that place gets) but I told myself I wouldn't get disappointed if I hated it. I mean, even if it sucked, at least I was still at WDW, right? :thumbsup2
Hey!

I can totally relate with the college craziness! In fact my mock trial team is headed to OSU next weekend and I was wondering if you could recommend any awesome food or hang out places?
Oh my gosh! I'm sooooo sorry that I missed this! I hope you had a great time here and that you found fun stuff to do!

Haha I love accents. They're just so much fun! Supposedly I have a bit of an accent (I guess there's a Cleveland accent :confused3 That's what everyone tells me, at least) but I don't think mine is nearly as fun.

Girl, I'm with you on the whole parchment thing. Computers suck.

Ok. Did you happen to see this week's South Park? Because your KFC/Taco Bell comment reminded me of how they were describing Inception. “It will be like a taco, inside a taco, within a Taco Bell, that’s inside a KFC, within a mall that’s inside your dream!” By the way, they're really adding Taco Bells to KFCs? That's just about the healthiest combination I could ever imagine....

Oh, and also, did you ever watch Zoom as a kid? Because they mentioned Zoom on South Park and I haven't been able to get the theme song out of my head. "Come on and zoom-a-zoom-a-zoom-a ZOOM!" Anyway...

Thank you soooo much for sparing us! I'm sure the temptation to just off us was great, but your moment of kindness was much appreciated. If I could, I'd send you a bowl of soup and a case of Mickey bars to show our gratitude.

The salad was really delicious. I'm a bit of a chicken caesar salad addict, so I have issues when it comes to turning one down. If I see it on the menu, I order it. It's horrible. I need to go to rehab or something so that I'll start eating different types of foods.

Hee. Something bad DID happen at Le Cellier, but it was at the very end of the meal so I'm saving it for the next update. But I'm super impressed by your memory! :rotfl:

Thanks for joining! I'm glad that Lia and I can keep you entertained. My TR isn't nearly as fabulous as hers, but I try. LOL.

GO BUCKS!!! ;) Although now that we've lost, I can't say it with nearly as much clout.

I've been trying to figure out a way to go during my spring break. I know going during winter break would be impossible, but I'm holding out hope that I might be able to figure something out for spring. Plus, I just decided that I'm going to take classes this summer, so we're not going to be able to do our annual July family trip. :sad1: We might be able to go at the very beginning of June or the very end of August but I don't know. It's so sad too think that the days of taking an annual family trip might be over. I hate growing up!

Haha I love accents. They're just so much fun! Supposedly I have a bit of an accent (I guess there's a Cleveland accent :confused3 That's what everyone tells me, at least) but I don't think mine is nearly as fun.

Sorry, I have to laugh at your accent comment. I wonder if you would think I have a Wisconsin accent...two people from Ohio (my college roommate and my dad's friend's son) have both commented on it. I don't think I have an accent at all, but I have started to notice the "Wisconsin accent" in other people and really hope I don't sound like that! LOL.

Also, what happened to your Buckeyes?!?!?! I was actually kind of hoping they would win just so I wouldn't have to listen to all the UW people acting like they've never won a game before.

I did not see that South Park but it sounds glorious! Even though I am obsessed with Mr. DiCaprio, I wasn't crazy about Inception and I felt like the only person who wasn't going NUTS over it this summer so when anyone makes fun of it I am so there.

I am actually hoping they add a third fast food restaurant onto the KFC/Taco Bells just so I can get THAT fat. In South Jersey there are some rest stops that have a Burger King/KFC which I enjoy. So if only they could make it a three way I would be complete.

Of course I used to watch Zoom! Man I totally forgot about that show!

I have like, a titanium memory. Sometimes my parents will be like "I can't remember what exactly happened but you were like 3 and we went to the store.." and I'll just finish the story. I don't know why LOL. ~*one of my many talents~* i guess.

:surfweb:popcorn::
Are you coming back soon (sorry my canadian computer makes this É instead of a question mark):confused3

Hi guys! Once again, I am incredibly sorry for my MIA-edness. I have had a terrible, horrible, no good, really bad week. Seriously, everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. But I don't really wanna talk about that so moving on...

I'm finishing up the next update right now and it will be posted shortly! I'm back, nerds!

And now onto the comments from forever ago that I never responded to....

I never saw Inception. My friends all went on a night that I couldn't and then I kept meaning to go see it, but eventually my attempts at avoiding plot spoilers failed and I was just like "Oh...." but I'll check it out when it comes out on DVD or they show it on one of the movie channels or something.

I'm feeling really deprived because we don't have any fast food combinations here. At least none that I know of. :sad2: It's not fair. I WANNA GET FAT FROM A MILLION KINDS OF JUNK FOOD AT ONCE!

That's awesome about your titanium memory. My memory is weird. Like, sometimes I'll remember really random things, but will forget important things. And I am so bad with remembering names. OMG. It takes me forever to remember someone's name. It's so bad.

:surfweb:popcorn::
Are you coming back soon (sorry my canadian computer makes this É instead of a question mark):confused3
HAHAHAHAHA I love that your computer does that. But I am here! Woohoo!

Sorry, I have to laugh at your accent comment. I wonder if you would think I have a Wisconsin accent...two people from Ohio (my college roommate and my dad's friend's son) have both commented on it. I notice accents in everyone, so I'm sure I'd think you have a Wisconsin accent. Not that that's a bad thing. :rotfl:

Yeah....I'm kinda just trying to forget that that game ever happened. EVERY. SINGLE. SEASON. we have at least one game where we just mysteriously suck. It's heartbreaking, but at this point it's to be expected.
