today and I get a pin code for a room-only ressie, can I apply it w/o them cancelling/rebooking another one? I can't remember

Yes. The only time you'll have to cancel/rebook is if you're going from a room only to a package, or vice versa =)

Yes, a pin code can be applied to an existing ressie without cancelling and rebooking . Just keep in mind that adding a code can only be done if there is availability for your resort/room type. Disney only offers so many rooms under promos and pin codes. If a certain resort is showing high occupancy already, chances are that resort will have very little (if any) rooms available under a discount. My suggestion is be prepared with a second resort choice just in case .
