It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

I LOVE WDW conferences :cool1::cool1:. We're being "forced" to stay at the GF over Spring Break ;). Actually, I took over planning my DH's conferences a few years ago. He's required to get a certain number of CMEs, and his work gives him $$ to spend to do them. I am always on the look out for good conference locations :thumbsup2. So far, we've done Disneyland, WDW, Hawaii, and Jackson Hole, WY. Did I mention I LOVE DH's work?!!

Wow, I am so jealous!!! That is awesome! I am going to encourage my dh to go to more conferences (only if I can go, of course:thumbsup2).

I wonder how many people have been notified so far? I'm hoping that Betty still has a few weeks worth of winners to inform, at the least.

OK, after years of stalking these boards all January like a creeper, I finally decided to join in the conversation. It's so fun to watch all these people win, and makes it seem so much more possible! I'm going to be really sad once this sweepstakes finishes and you guys stop chatting about it. :)

Welcome! So glad you joined in pixiedust:

I think most of the deluxes have rooms that sleep 5. The GF, Poly and CR all do, I know. Not sure about all the others but pretty sure I read that. We are a fam of 6 so I pay attention to where we fit :goodvibes

WOW you are kidding! That is a win!! I know the Castle is not included but wow what an awesome chance and savings. You did win. I got a little pixie dust, i guess. My husbands company does what they call 9/80 work schedules. He has not been on that schedule for a very long time. (over a year) and last year we squeaked by with vacation time to go to Disney because of the way he had used his days PTO (personal time off which is basically sick and vacation time combined). Well today he was told that the whole department will be doing that again. So the plus is he will have ever other Friday off. And the not so plus is that he will need to go in earlier or work later each day. So that does open up some other get away time or get stuff done around the house time. It's not Disney but it is valued time. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm blown away. I can't believe your husband "has to travel" and they are "making him" go to the Contemporary. That's luck. Wow. Ya I hear you on the Castle for your princesses. I'm a princess at heart so to be able to experience that royalty feeling would be so nice. I've seen pictures from someone elses vacation and it's so nice. Besides to come home with that glass slipper. That will be something to talk about. The whole Castle part was why I had considered taking my husbands God daughter. Can you imagine how cool we would be in her eyes to give such an opportunity. Although I do question how much some little girls would understand what a once in a life time opportunity that is. Oh well. I'm gonna try to focus on all the little daily pixie dust I get, including I woke up this morning and I'm healthy. (oh and my house really isn't on fire like the dream I had told me) :dance3: Have a great day everyone. pixiedust: sigh Wow Contemporary Resort business trip. Wow.

I sent you a PM ...

Wow.

Yes can you imagine the memories that they would have? I live for their smiles!

I hear ya! When my girls were the ages of yours was the first time we took them to DLR. I can only imagine how magical it would have been to be at WDW and staying a night in Cinderella Castle! What is truly crazy is that Disney has only gotten more magical for my girls as they have gotten older. They are 14 and 12 now and more in love with all things Disney than ever before. I guess we have raised them right?? :rotfl: I still live for those smiles:thumbsup2

I wonder how many people have been notified so far? I'm hoping that Betty still has a few weeks worth of winners to inform, at the least.

From the weird math I made up based on the winners who have reported in and going on the idea of one winner being notified a day and only on week days, we should only be up to about the 18th of January and winners should be getting notifications until about the 20th of February (which matches up with last year's winners reports, right?)

I like your weird math, and I hope you are correct!
Good Luck to you, and the rest of us constantly checking emails with high hopes :)

This is actually where I feel conflicted about winning (if I"m lucky enough to win), I have very little interest in staying in the castle. I love princesses and castles, but I HATE Cinderella and the castle suite just didn't excite me. I also have two boys.

I'd love to win because it would make our trip a little more affordable (we could fly instead of having to drive), but if we don't win we'll still go. And as I said, I"m not sure we'd pick a Deluxe hotel anyway, because of our party size. Winning would be awesome, but I'm ok with not winning.

I have no interest in staying in the castle either. I was wondering if they would "pixie dust" it to another family the way they were giving away castle night stays back in the Year of a Million Dreams promo. However, I don't want to pay taxes on something I don't use either. I know it sounds crazy, but you can't see out the windows and they pretty much lock you in for the night. I'd feel like a prisoner in the castle!

Also, when it comes to which resort we'd like -- well, we like resorts with outside entrances to the rooms, which is how the moderate resorts are set up. I'm not sure that the deluxe resorts have that option.

Just put in my last entry. I'm not giving up hope of an email from Betty until the end of February. :)

How many winners do we have here? I thought there were five but then someone I thought was a winner apparently isn't, so I perhaps misread their post. Can someone list the winners?

Here's another WDW contest you all may be interested in...http://partners.disney.com/share-your-disney-adventure

The prizes look great but I never love the idea of uploading pics online so I hate that the competition requires a picture upload. What do other think about that?

I've been entering that one. I don't have an issue with sharing my pics that way. They aren't great pics so no one is going to steal them and make money off of them, lol. Of course, we don't have children in our pictures either, which I understand where folks might be concerned about that. I never bother with "vote for your favorite picture" contests because the winner is never the best picture but rather the one with the biggest social circle (and they are probably members of groups that exist for the sole purpose of boosting people's vote numbers). But this isn't a voting contest, so I've been entering.

So who else is feeling a little sad that today is the last day?

I never won a single thing in the "Year of a Million Dreams" but I missed it when we went back and it was over. I loved waking up with that hope every morning.

I'm a little sad it is over but a little glad not having to deal with the website. What a disaster. Every morning was a mystery on how the site would or wouldn't work.

Well, I've entered for the last day without any troubles. I've done all I can do and it's all in their hands now! Maybe I should do something like the kids do when wishing for a snow day (ice flushed down the toilet, spoons under their pillow, and jammies on backwards). Should I watch Cinderella, sleep with my ears on, and say Walt Disney 3 times in the mirror?

I was able to enter today. I'm sad that today is the last day.

I have had a great time talking with everyone here. I hope everyone still shares if they won. Good luck! I'll keep checking my email for the next couple of weeks.

Last day, yes, but now the big "wrap up drawing" comes. Good luck, everyone!

Neither did we... and we were there seven or eight times the first year, and several more the next.
