It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

I've only ever gotten the "maximum submissions reached" message after I had other errors entering. So my guess is that when there's an error entering, it sometimes goes through anyway. Even though I was thinking it didn't go through, so I went ahead and tried again. So the maximum submissions message means that I attempted to enter more than once in that day.

I never took it to mean that the system reached the maximum number of entrants, overall, for that day. I always thought it meant that my attempts previously that day worked.

Not sure, but that's how i've seen it. I could be wrong of course.

I take it that way as well.

Today there was no enter button so I went and entered via my Galaxy 4 phone and had no issues.

Google chrome worked for my husband today. He has not had any issues entering via google chrome.

Congratulations to the two newest winners: DisneySide and DisneyDreamer421! Five out of 31 so far isn't too bad! DisneyDreamer421 – haven’t you been following this thread from almost the beginning? How wonderful that you ended up one of the winners!

I’ve been away from this thread for a few days, but there’s nothing new to report as far as the sweepstakes goes. We’re still waiting for someone from Disney Parks to contact us.

To be honest, we both entered this contest daily with no expectations. We figured the chances were about 1 in a million, but you never know. I can’t say either of us got many of the errors that you all are reporting – maybe once or twice. We tended to enter early in the morning or very late at night, so maybe it’s just a server load issue during peak hours of the day. We’ve since stopped entering for obvious reasons.

When we received the “potential winner” email, I admit my heart skipped a beat. But the “potential” language in the email kept me in check throughout the follow up process because I don’t like to celebrate anything until it’s final and I didn’t want to be disappointed if for some reason we didn’t win. Now that we’ve been confirmed a winner, it’s finally sinking in. My wife and I have been talking a lot about when we’d go and where we’d like to stay. All the planning talk is making us more excited! Our family even took a quick trip to Disneyland to satisfy our love for all things Disney in the meantime.

Was wondering what the email address was that it comes from, so we can add it to our contacts and hopefully avoid the evil spam folder!

Like I’ve said before, the email came from someone at Ventura Associates using an @sweepspros.com email address. The name of a real life person appears as the sender. The subject line is “Disney Flip Side Sweepstakes - Potential Winner - Please Respond,” with the date for which you won in parenthesis. Sorry if I don’t share the name or specific email address, since I don’t have permission to disclose it, and I wouldn’t want to make that person’s job any harder by putting the email out there.

Good luck everyone! There’s still days left to win!

Thank you Serial! Im so excited... been looking to see when I could go and trying to keep the cost low for Disney (so it helps keep the taxes low)... Waiting to see when Disney contacts the winners... Wishing you Pixie Dust!!

Any winners had Disney contact you? anticipation is giving me anxiety LOL

Thanks DisneyDreamer421! Like I said, nothing yet from Disney Parks. My wife and I talked over the tax issue when we first filled out the forms, but the way we ended up looking at it is that this is a dream vacation to WDW at 25-33% of the cost. There's no way we could ever score a deal this good otherwise, not to mention a stay in Cinderella's Suite that no amount of money can buy. We'll just adjust our traveling and vacation budget for the year accordingly.

Believe me! It is def the way I look at it! I want to be realistic... I saw the major difference in airfare too when looking at possible dates. I don't want to pay high taxes bc of the airfare over the actual trip. Do you have any idea when you may want to go? What was your winning date again?

That's exactly how I would look at it, too. I'd set aside 50% of our vacation budget for taxes, then take a bonus shorter second vacation.

DisneyDreamer421 – when are you thinking about going?

DW is leaning on earlier, while I prefer later in the year. We’re trying to avoid the summer months due to the weather, heat and crowds. I also wonder what kind of “access,” if any, the Disney Parks agent can get the winners for dining and Fast Pass reservations. I understand that a lot of the most popular restaurants fill up 6 months in advance, which would seem to preclude our taking a trip any time shorter than 6 months out if we want to do certain things.

Congrats to all the winners!!! Just some advice from our past trips. Summer is brutal with the heat!! That said most of our trips have been in June but after this past one I said no more summers ;) And you need to watch which week in spring because lots of schools have spring break and Easter week is crazy busy as well as Mardi Gras time. I would definitely look into the fall time if you can...tell your wife about The Food and Wine Fest that is an amazing time to go that runs Sept 25 through Nov 16...if you hit Sept/Oct you can go to the Halloween after party at MK or starting Nov 7th they start the Christmas after parties at MK plus the Christmas decor should be out also. Personally I'd definitely choose Food and Wine Fest time :)

Also if you do choose sooner you can still get some great ADR's in the less then 6 months time...this past trip we planned only 90 days out and I was able to get Breakfast in the Castle, Dinner at Be Our Guest and the dessert party at Epcot. I got pretty much all the places we wanted but I did have to check online daily while planning...it just takes a bit of patience and lots of checking for ADR's daily :)

ENJOY...Can't wait to hear about everyone's trips !! Still hoping for some Pixie Dust and that winning email to come our way :cloud9::wizard:

Had a mini heartattack a bit ago. I know they are notifying the winners by email but still I answered my phone to unknown number and heard Congratulations you have a won a wonderful vacation.....we'll be heading out on a cruise to...... :sad2:

I hung up at that point. Oh well, it was a nice dream for those 3 seconds. :goodvibes

I was looking at May and November... I get what you mean about heat and crowds.... Ive been there in July (to get married)... wasn't so bad... August was a scorcher! Do you have kids (school wise)... this is a tough one... I wonder what number we should look for (orlando or cali).... I picked up a orlando number and it was bogus LOL

Just a thought... a bunch of us winners from last year created a private Facebook page (an idea we got from the previous years winners) so that we could share our planning process and then pictures and stories of our trips. It was so nice to hear about everyone else's vacations and they great time they all had courtesy of Disney! We've become great friends through the process and still keep in touch!

That sounds great! I can start it :)

We are still waiting to be contacted and I share your anxiety. Perhaps Ventura is going to make just one hand off of winners to the Disney Parks folks?

We are currently counting down to our first Disney cruise on the Fantasy in 94 days!!! It is a supersize Disney year for us!!!

I just want to say congratulations to all the winners so far :-) What an amazing experience to spend a night in Cinderella's castle! It is fun to follow the winners on this board:):):)
