It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

Don't forget to keep an eye on your spam mail too and, if you're on GMail, your "promotions" tab.

they've made it a lot harder to log in. I can't even find where to get into the mydisney experience stuff. I wish it would say at the top of the page for entering the sweepstakes who is logged in at the time.

I went to Disney World site, sign in.....and were it say Welcome (your Name), at the top right corner I clicked, scroll down to contact information.

My husband mentioned that his information was wrong a couple of days ago and so I decided to check.
thanks for this info! turns out my phone number was not listed on my account :headache:

Was hoping to hear they have started the drawings too! Of course they could have and no one from DIS won yet ;)

I guess I can't keep ignoring phone numbers that I don't know where they are calling from, hey? I'd prefer an email! LOL!

Just wondering if anyone knows what it will say on the phone when they call as we don't answer to numbers we don't know. Also if you are not home do you know if they would leave a voicemail?

Someone told me that the calls from from 407 and if that is true I ignore that area code all the time because it's usually a time share offer with a boat horn.
Besides how do we know it's official and not some scam?

I'll assume they contact us in multiple ways so we know it's legit.
I did have a call earlier today and got all excited. But it was "local" and they didn't leave a message. I hate when that happens too. I at least leave a message that I'll call back. Geesh.

Come on Pixie Dust.:wizard:
Mommy is cold and needs a vacation.
:cloud9:

Does anyone else get the following error when they try to enter?

"You are not eligible to sign in on this site."

I was able to enter without issue until today, and now I get this. I am in Canada, but not Quebec, so according to the rules I am eligible. Anyone else having this problem?

No problems from Canada here.

Two years ago people said the calls were coming from a 212 area code (NYC). Ventura, who runs the company, is based in NYC.

Last year all of the winners I can remember said they got an email and not a call.

Imagine checking your email,,,seeing an email from Walt Disney World. Your heart pounds and drops at the same time. You open the email to discover...
it is an email confirming they received my MDE request for our October trip...

Disney, don't email me thru the month of January unless I won!!! :lmao:

Well it worked fine once I got home and tried from here. It must not like my work IP address! :confused3

aww man! I know i've got calls from that area code before and Ventura looks very familiar. I'd like to think that if anyone wins they will be contacted in more than one way to be sure it's legit.

I'm not paranoid.

Has anyone received a "sorry, you have already entered today" message? I'm scared I entered too many times in one day? Can that happen?

I get obsessed with this contest each year. My last trip was July and I'm itching to go back.

I really hope someone here wins!

I would hope so in case someone's email goes to spam or they are unable to answer the call the first time, etc. I would imagine they would try several ways to get a hold of someone before giving their trip away - - - at least I hope LOL!!

So I've been entering everyday using the same email address and password as my MDE account. I've been getting the thanks for entering each time. After seeing what 3PrincessesAndaFrog said I went to my account and there were no phone numbers listed for me. Now that's been quickly taken care of.

Then I decided to try and enter again just to see what would happen and I entered twice more today getting a "thanks for entering". :confused3

Ventura runs the Disney contests, as they have the past few years. All that info is in the rules if you take the time to read them. :P

Ventura is the same as sweepspros. The email that winners receive actually comes from sweepspros.

We won last year. Everything was done through e-mail. No phone calls/Fed ex.

I almost missed the e-mail because it looked like spam. It came from a named person (not Disney or even Ventura, though If you looked carefully, the email address contained the business name: eg "Jane.Doe@ventura.com", or something similar) so look carefully at all email.

We were given the choice of any hotel (Deluxes included, but no DVC) and had to rank our top three choices. We got our first choice of GF. Ventura was completely fabulous to work with and it was an incredible experience!

We were able to upgrade our tickets, and we upgraded two to APs and added days on the other two. We also added hotel nights and were given discounted rates. You can not add the dining plan, but we would not have wanted to anyway.

I haven't done my taxes for 2024 or received the 1099, but I am estimating an approximate $2,000 tax hit. I did the old trick of paying my January mortgage payment on the last day of 2014 so I an extra month of interest deduction to help offset it.

Other winners had more than four people and were able to add them to the trip at their own expense. I think one winner that only had two people going were given something else (extra hotel nights maybe?).

I hope that helps answer some questions, at least with the way it happened last year. Good luck everyone!
