It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

We won last year. Everything was done through e-mail. No phone calls/Fed ex.

I almost missed the e-mail because it looked like spam. It came from a named person (not Disney or even Ventura, though If you looked carefully, the email address contained the business name: eg "Jane.Doe@ventura.com", or something similar) so look carefully....
!

Thank you for sharing your experience! Do you happen to remember what the subject was of the email you received from Ventura initially? And how long did you have to contact them and claim your trip?

The subject had some form of the sweepstakes name but it had abbreviations and things, so not as clear as you might think.

I believe we were contacted in early February and only had a few days to submit the qualifying paperwork. I could have easily missed it. :shudder:

If my math is right, Wednesday will be the first day someone would be notified? Three business days after the first, followed by one business day for contact.

I have a copy of my aunt's winning email.

It came from a name @sweepspros.com

It came from a named person (not Disney or even Ventura, though If you looked carefully, the email address contained the business name: eg "Jane.Doe@ventura.com", or something similar) so look carefully at all email. We were given the choice of any hotel (Deluxes included, but no DVC) and had to rank our top three choices. We got our first choice of GF. Ventura was completely fabulous to work with and it was an incredible experience! We were able to upgrade our tickets, and we upgraded two to APs and added days on the other two. We also added hotel nights and were given discounted rates. You can not add the dining plan, but we would not have wanted to anyway. I haven't done my taxes for 2024 or received the 1099, but I am estimating an approximate $2,000 tax hit. I did the old trick of paying my January mortgage payment on the last day of 2014 so I an extra month of interest deduction to help offset it. Other winners had more than four people and were able to add them to the trip at their own expense. I think one winner that only had two people going were given something else (extra hotel nights maybe?). I hope that helps answer some questions, at least with the way it happened last year. Good luck everyone!

Thank you!!!

Thank you!!

Anyone else having trouble entering today? I think the entry screen looks different (was the Stp 1 Step 2 Step 3 there before?). And nothing at all happens when I click the enter button.

I keep getting an error saying "sorry you are not eligible to sign in on this site"

My entry went right through. If you can, log out from the Disney site and clear your browser cache, then log back in and try it again.

I just tried to enter and I can't figure out where to enter...I click enter and nothing happens.:confused3

I went back to try logging out and back in, and my entry worked before I ever logged out. . . 9th time's a charm, I guess! It's part of my morning routine - heaven forbid I get caught up in my day and forget to enter one time!!

I'm having the same problem. I'm logged out of my account and I've tried IE and Chrome and I see the same thing you see and nothing lets me enter...hmmmm.....annoying!

I'm logged out and just deleted my browsing history, closed IE and reopened the window and it still didn't have the place to enter. :confused3
