Hey all! I have received my "Congratulations" email from Betty and am now waiting for Disney to contact me!!! Also, great news: Betty asked me in her message yesterday to "tell the folks on the Disboard there’s still a bit of hope left...I am still contacting alternates for a few days and have not done the Grand Prize drawing yet." I guess she's a Disboard reader!

Ya snow removal thing was not a pleasant home coming. I can't even put into words what the back of my house was like. I'm trying to stay focused that at least I don't have to worry about my roof caving in on me with cold wet snow when we get wet rain/snow this weekend.
I made the mistake of checking out the 10 day forecast.
Betty I really need an email from you!!! Give me something to be excited about girlfriend! Pick me Pick me.
I can't wait to make my "I (heart) Betty" t-shirts. Wonder what Betty's favorite color is???

Oh and hey my Dad's trip is back on. They contacted a travel agent for a price. Now they have to decide which resort.
LOL Tough problem to have.

Another yawn is telling me to call it a night.
Looking forward to Betty's email tomorrow.

Love this thread! Living vicariously and enjoying every minute! Haven't been on here often but love the information and friendliness when I do visit. Found this thread while looking for feedback on Flip winners. My DH and myself also entered everyday and I was very excited to read Betty's message. Thanks Betty! Still going to check our e-mails for a few days.

Does anyone who has won know how it works to add people to the prize package? I know we would have to pay for the extras but as a family of 6 we would want to go together. I know, planning ahead here

Winners are sent a travel questionnaire by Disney that has 3 lines to list your guests (as part of the 4 people inclusive in the prize) and you can list additional guests you'd like to bring along. You return that questionnaire with the guest names, your room and date preferences to Disney and their travel agent then goes ahead and books your prize vacation based on that information.

Disney is very clear that you're responsible for all costs and expenses for those additional guests, including airfare and room. There's a box on the questionnaire that asks if you'll need an additional room. The questionnaire notes that most standard rooms (which is what you get as part of the prize) only fit 4, and you'll need to book an additional room for the additional guests. I suppose if your children are young and sleep in a pack-and-play they might not count, but if they need a bed then they'd count. I didn't see anything about any discount for the additional room.

I'm not that familiar with all of the WDW resorts, but I recall either from the questionnaire or talking to Disney that you're supposed to choose from the Deluxe hotels.

I told DH that I loved having hope every day I entered and continuing hope each day until yesterday. Then I admitted to myself and him, it's over we didn't win... Knowing there is still a chance..

Can you imagine the person that does win and doesn't find the email in time. That would be awful.
I would be so crushed. It would be so hard to forgive myself.

I bet it will be exciting for Betty when she contacts one of the regular people on this thread to tell them they won.

I wonder the opposite...rather than what to do with more than four people in your party. What if you are a family of three? Would they allow you to use the remaining value for something more? Can't imagine what.
