It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

AquaDame, I'm so glad you all were able to make the decision so quickly! You have until January 31, 2016 to take the vacation, so I hope that gives you a lot of room to plan. And like RejoyceoverDisney suggests, you'd probably defer the taxes on the prize for another year if you take the trip in 2016. Disney did mention February 16-23, April 12-26, November 27-30, December 17-31, and January 1-3 as being blacked out. Although, for practical purposes, since it takes 90 days to set up, you don't need to concern yourself with the February and April blackout dates.

Serial, have you narrowed down a time frame that you are considering?

Deciding quickly is my super power. After I make sure May is a 100% no go since it is too close I think my next choice would be either a weekend in late November or December (my husband's distant third choice) or else over our anniversary which is early October (which means he gets food & wine which makes him oh so happy!). The only problem there would be how close that would be to another trip... we'd only be home ten days before we'd be packing up again which I loathe doing to coworkers...!

Of course, like someone else mentioned there is always my birthday in 2016... but then I really WOULD think they'd forget about me by then! lol!

Oh I'm glad you are back. I thought maybe you fell in a snow bank and a plow covered you until Spring.
My gosh decluttering is never ending. I sure hope you are getting out of here for your cruise in between shoveling out.
After tomorrow's storm we have another coming Thursday
I'm feeling punchy. Did anyone see the video of the person getting out of the car and walking past a snowman and swinging and knocking the head off. Yup that's me. I don't want to build a snowman. I want to build a sand castle.

I just read a bunch of things changing at Disney and a bunch of things will be complete in 2016 so I'm ok with waiting. (NOT!)

I got my email on Friday; can't believe it! I'm a single mom of three kids (DD11, DD9, DS6), and we are all HUGE WDW fans. My boyfriend has DVC, but I didn't think I'd be able to scrape the money together to take my kids until 2017. They are going to FLIP when I tell them!

We have other DVC friends whom we meet every few months to recreate Disney recipes. We call ourselves the Disney Dining Club. They are going in October, and now we can join them! Our next meeting is Saturday, so we are going to tell them that night. I'm going to TRY to keep the castle secret until we are in WDW, but that's going to be nearly impossible!

The timing couldn't be better; my ex and his new girlfriend are having a baby at the end of August, so I'm thrilled to be able to give my kids this memory.

I'm gonna give it 'til Friday (or someone posts saying they won for the 31st) before I lose hope on this one! I have had no problems whatsoever entering the Perfect Fit sweepstakes so that makes me happy. And the drawing for the first week of WW's should be in the next few days. There was a time table in the official rules but I can't remember what day it said exactly. I'll have to go back and check.
