Perhaps that was my problem! Fran and I sat next to each other platonically for a year and half in rehearsals an performances. Then we got to know each other over the telephone (while I was in a psychotic relationship for about three months). I think by the time we started dating we knew each other pretty well. Dating and sex were fairly synonomous by that point!

Well, we haven't known each other that long, which is why we decided to do things this way

The rules eh....
Well see most of my current friends are Asian so their rules......are not until after marriage. I have one who is a firm believer in this. The others....I think it's don't ask don't tell...
I was raised catholic....

Tbh its just up to the couple. I think the biggest thing is to understand the potential consequences and know whether you trust the person enough.

Yeah, I know My parents are Catholic, but I'm not. I'm an agnostic.

THen I have another sort of friend (we have very little in common but is part of the collective )

She is Sri lankan/Indian and the rules....
You get to date for a month....after being set up with someone the parents choose
You then must choose. If you wish to continue to see each other you do so with an understanding of firm commitment. You get legally married within 6 months (but still don't live together...you can't even go on a holiday TOGETHER and share a room let slone bed)
Then the official wedding to the culture is a traditional massive wedding...after which you move in together...

She met him in may...getting legally married in November...getting married and moving in next august
No bed sharing until august...of course there is always the car...beach...woods...balcony...pool...

Yeah, that sounds quite similar to a traditional Orthodox Jewish courtship. A friend of mine was telling me about that, since she's the only one in her group of friends who's still single.

I just made bacon & egg for me. I figured since I'm not getting in that German dress this year I don't have to kill myself on this diet.

I'm... not sure. I think it's both, but it might just be DM. My dad has class that night, and I think my mom said she works late, so I'm not sure.

I know we're running over to a huge costume shop here at some point (he's going to be Spock for Halloween and needs Vulcan ears and I'm sure they have something he could use).
