someone ends up staying at home with me for the day so I can enjoy a little one on one time.

My DD was on her way to the bus stop when the school called that it's canceled today due to a power outage caused by the wind. SWEET! We're going to Perkins!

Anyone else have anything to add?

Our schools are closed today due to flooding. I just let the kids sleep in....the school's automatic system kindly called and told me at 5am DD just woke up 15 minutes ago...she thought I had lost my mind and forgot it was Monday Unfortunately, I think we're stuck here because both roads leading to the highway....and anything interesting and/or fun....are flooded.

My oldest DD is home sick today. She woke up & got ready for school but she started feeling sick to her stomach. DS ran back there to see of she was faking it but he got a birds eye view instead. He ran back into the kitchen and said "She's NOT faking it!!". nosey little brothers, ya gotta lovem.

That's sweet LuvOrlando, kids sure love and enjoy one on one !

School is closed here also for Teachers Professional Day, DGD 10yo wanted to spend the day with Nana, rather than go to day care.

Whenever she sees me, she hugs me and always tells me, 'Nana, I love you and the way you smell' !
So I hope that's meant in a good way , cause it always melts my heart!

She is on computer making a cross word puzzle for homework right now.
We will fix her fave lunch, later go to town to browse/shop and enjoy our special time together.
