Hello everyone
Well guess what?? It's only 3 weeks on Tuesday until we go. considering I booked it in January, I cannot believe its nearly here
I've spent so long trying not to get too excited and save the planning until nearer the time, that I don't really know what I should be doing no!
I have a rough idea of what I want to do while we're there but feel like I'm really disorganised! I'm not going to plan where to be in the parks and when other than fitting in the things that will close at some point when we are there (for example, phantom manor is only open on the very last day of our trip so will be around frontier land that day)
We arrive on Tuesday the 18th September at around 6pm so will be knackered having got up at 4am the same day leaving home. So will probably just check in, wee look around the hotel and head to the village only for a look and meal at Annettes (or other village based eatery)
Each day, we will either go to salon mickey for morning coffee, or the disneyland hotel for afternoon tea depending on what else we have on. We will also probably have at least one or two afternoon breaks at the hotel pool which brings me to my first question. What do you think the likelihood is of the outdoor pool at NPB being open at that time of year? I think its a good thing to do to chill out from the busy parks and get ready for round 2
The eating plan (first rough draft) is as follows:
Tuesday evening - Annettes or somewhere else in the village
Wednesday - Breakfast at the hotel, snack mid day and Blue lagoon at night
Thursday - Breakfast at the hotel, snack mid day and Walt's
at night
Friday - Breakfast at the hotel ?cafe mickey for lunch and BBWWs at night
Saturday - considering somewhere sit in for lunch as going to the auberge at night and lets face it, who actually likes the food there with a small child as well
Sunday - Last day
so thought maybe the silver spur for lunch and then I can fit in phantom mannor.
the day we do auberge, I thought we could treat Nicole to the princess makeover at the disneyland hotel
then she can dress up in her belle costume.
This is just an idea for a plan. Any suggestions or changes??
At some point, we may try to squeeze in a day in Paris as well but not sure when yet. It think we'll just wait and see when we are there. Would it be wise to save it for a week day and not the weekend??
I also plan on watching all the parades, the dreams show (as many times as possible) a nice leisurely stroll around the lake some day (remind me what they have at the lake again? or will there be nothing at that time of year?) and at some point, the hot air balloon. Does anyone know where the prices are for that and do you still get a shareholders discount??
I have decided that each evening meal will be about 30-40 euros per adult (based on a 3 course meal) with the exception of the auberge of course. I'm still humming and haying about going to Inventions too... it is sooooo good for characters. so I've aloud 50 euros for me per day for food. Do you think that's reasonable?
For travelling.... we leave here (shetland) at 7.40am (which means being at the airport at 6.40 and leaving home at 5.40am and out of bed at 4.40am)
we will arrive in Edinburgh at 9.10am and have from then until departure time which is 13.45. Flying with easyjet which I'm still a little anxious about but I'm sure it will be fine.....
I'm going to out together an 'activity pack' for Nicole so she won't get fed up on the planes. I thought I'd get a Disney tote bag and fill it with colouring pages, activity pages, colouring pencils and maybe a magazine and sweetie. Can you think of anything else?? We arrive at CDG at 16.35 and get picked up by ezyshuttle at 16.55 (French time) so will arrive at DLP im guessing around 18.00.
I can't think of any other questions at the moment but if anyone wants to add anything or suggest any changes, PLEASE let me know. after all, you are the experts
Much appreciated
