Glad you got to see Lilly. She was putting on a show for you, wasn't she? She is four years old now. It's been interesting to watch her grow during our visits and through other people's pictures and videos.

I hope the day does not continue to be frustrating for you. I know December 31st was frustrating for me. Somewhere soon in this report, you come to see me. Such a nice friend you were and are.

Oh it was not a good surprise at all. I tried to do what I could hoping people would just go elsewhere. It did make me a bit grumpy that they chose to do this on the busiest time of year and a little miffed I was not checking the DIS so I would know about it in advance like I should have.

I will be checking in on FB. I actually leave Thursday for a short trip but I am going north this time. I have under 30 days until my WDW trip.

Lily was acting a fool, She was making the most of her blanket and having a grand time playing. I wonder what it would be like it there were a few young gorillas there. It would be a riot!

I am looking forward to new theater. I know you will be making up for all the lost time in Dec. Don't overdo It and I know you will have a blast.

I will say I was happy to see Lily acting like a 4 year old. The gorilla is a mess right there.

I was so unprepared for that and it really threw me. The CMs were in agreement it was a horrible move but I knew they were just the messenger.

AK had been in years past either very empty or tolerable. This year it was tolerable. Sometimes I have good luck and am ahead of the "wave" of people or behind enough that I get lucky at the empty side of the park.

That day - my luck was non-existent.

You were miffed! I am now totally recalling the text string. It can be really hard to regroup when something throws you like that. How incredibly frustrating. I still can believe we didn't cross paths, it seemed like all morning we were at different ends of the park.

At the entrance to the parking lot the CM handed me something all about FP+. I was like okay, I know how it works and all no problem.

What she neglected to say was that the regular FP were GONE!!!!
So here I was assuming I could do what I had been doing – pre-book the 3 online and then use regular FP for the rest of the day. Well what is great is that I booked FP+ for the evening park figuring that was wise.
I DO NOT DO WELL WITH CHANGE! Well let’s see how this will work out.

I can see where that would have completely thrown you for a loop! Talk about springing a surprise.

I cruise up the FP machine where the CM stops me and that’s when I find out they have stopped issuing them in AK. During the busiest time. Really?!?!?!?

Maybe not the brightest idea Disney has ever had...

Now it is the spinning game. She got the blanket on her head and then just spun around in a circle.


She eventually got tired and just staggered away.

Could I find a groove? Will I get anything in or just be frustrated?

You have me worried now.

I really needed to be on your side of the park.... I certainly would have had a different plan had I done my homework. However I can only imagine the shock to anyone off site who had to make the FP+ when they arrived and had no hope of regular FP.

Those are the bird houses in the aviary area. I think that CM was sprucing something up.
The one tiger was just a pacing away while the other one snoozed. It was great on a very crowded day.

I only think some sights had the news only days beforehand and over the holidays and packing I wasn't looking so I was blindsided. Even at the parking entrance, the CM was not straight up with the change it was very sneaky even. Not cool during the holidays with capacity crowds.

I think they purposely made it a bad situation so when they added features people would go oh look it is so much better. I just feel sorry for those who go once or once in a great while and they had that experience that just stunk.

They should get the tumble monkeys out there sprucing things up.

The holiday show was good, would I stand in a long line? NO but being able to walk in easily and enjoy- YUP.

O'hana used to run so far behind, I think they are trying to keep the wait down while still serving a large number of reservations. I have had perfect, very slow and very fast. 1 perfect one and it was the first, so I think I am never going to have perfect again. <<sigh>>

The Coronado is beautiful at holiday time.
That Lily is a mess.
I think Single rider at the beginning of the day was not open yet.
I have only had a couple good pictures of the tigers - usually they are napping.

I glad you could get a chuckle out of that. It has been used in my house to the point of groans but still makes me think it when I see it.


I was a bit worried about MY monkey. You will just need to wait a bit longer to find out.
