It's a winter wonderland!

Wow! Our backyard is covered in snow. It's laced on all of the tree branches and it looks so pretty! I'll try to take some pictures and post later. I'm not sure how deep it is yet, though it does look pretty deep.

I wish it would snow down here. Just for a day. It's been so long since I've seen snow. I could only imagine the chaos it would cause though. People have a hard time driving in the rain around here. Snow, they would be killing themselves!

Yeah, it's pretty all right - pretty deep. Trees are beautiful, winter wonderland, yada, yada, yada. We must have about 10 inches and it's still coming down hard and the wind is blowing. If my little family could stay in and stay safe I might feel different, but I have to get my son to Blockbuster by 9 AM because the world will stop spinning if people can't rent videos. Wish me luck.

I'm in Prince William County and it appears that I have about 8 inches on the deck.

I am wondering (still) if they will have school tomorrow. I know I shouldn't stress about it, but if I have to take the day off work because school is off, I DO NOT WANT TO GET UP AT MY USUAL 4:30 A.M.!!! Pitiful aren't I??? I just wish they'd call it tonight so I could actually feel like it would be a day off.

I'm sure some of you in Maryland already know you'll be off (I hear some places have up to 14 inches) but at 8 inches it seems kind of "iffy."

It is blowing here so much that we can not get out the front door. Hubby will have to go out the back and hop the fence to get out to the front of the house.

Wow, it's pretty to look at, but I'm glad I won't have to shovel any of it.

Good friend was tickled with a Sunday blizzard. She cantors in three churches and drives all over LI. Snow means she has the day off.

Should I be the mean sister and call relatives and tell them about my sunshiney day?

11 inches & counting here! TV's on, kids are fighting...the Newfoundlands however are outside running & LOVING it!! Looks like a 'lizzard...(a cute saying from 1 of the little ones!)

We wound up with about 11 inches here. I got my son to work at Blockbuster's OK, but the roads were "interesting". I am VERY glad now that I bought a Highlander last year. The all-wheel-drive was awsome!

While driving my son to work we saw one of those gi-normous plowing/salting trucks that had slid off the road and took out some signs before getting stuck. We also have trees down in the area because the snow is heavy. It broke a limb off my magnolia tree, darn it. The downed trees and limbs are taking down power lines, so I guess now we just have to hope we don't lose power.

About 10 to 11 inches here and it's still coming down like crazy! The local news thinks we'll have 15 to 18 inches before it's over.
