Is it normal for a set amount of rides to be closed at Disney World? Is there ever a time that they are ALL open?

I told our DD5 today about our trip and gave her a Disney of Kids book to look at. She went through and decided which rides she wanted to do. She was very excited when she saw IASWAA-- I felt like I was breaking her heart when I told her it wouyld be closed while we were there.

Last I read, it was scheduled to reopen 3/18/05. Has something changed?
