It's a Small World Ride

Last year when I went to Disney (August 2004)..."It's a Small World" was closed for huge renovations. Rumor has it that they were completely not only cleaning everything...but re-doing the inside? Is this true?

It might be cool, but at the same time...wasn't that the original ride brought from the World's Fair? Kinda kills a lil nostalgia...don't you think?

Anybody who's been there know anything about this?

they put in a state of the art lighting and sound equiptment. And i think the re painted it. They needed to do this so they can decorate it for holidays 2006

Yes i've been on it since the renivations
they re painted and fixed broken dolls and anything else that may have been not functioning...they also cleaned the water and dolls and animatronics
it looks wonderful great sound and everything looks beautiful!

Its really bright, and the song is in different languages, i think, i didnt get it untill the second time through.

the entrance is different too. remember when it used to have all the different colors on the walls and the pictures of kids from different countries? its now white and sparkly. o.0 they also put in this huge clock that opens every 15 minutes to reveal the time and yes, more dolls. but this is just when youre boarding/exiting the ride so...

i hope this isnt what anyone else meant ^^;;; well..besides the lovely new stereo

when i went on it (2002, last vaction it was open) you could hear the dolls open and close their eyes! you would hear a Click Click! It was annoying!!!! CAN YOU STILL HEAR THAT!?!?!?

Does anyone know what the numbers mean on the wall near the entrance to Its a Small World?? If you are waiting in line and start walking down the ramp towards the water, they are across the water on a wall. Some are differnt sizes, but just wanted to know what they mean..
