I'm scheduled to visit Disneyland Nov. 8 to celebrate a huge milestone but now I'm freaking out because I read somewhere they may not have a Fantasmic show & also... It's a Small World will be closed. It's my favorite ride!! Does anyone have legit information on when the ride is scheduled to re-open? I'm seriously considering just calling the whole trip off if these two things are not going be available for me to experience. I'm so bummed.

The information came from Disney dining when I tried booking the Fantasmic dining in Nov. Dates have not been released & the lady said, "Well... that's if they even HAVE Fantasmic. There are a lot of dark days..." As far as the It's a Small World, they refurbish to get ready for Christmas & another Disney customer rep said that it is set to open Nov. 13th for the start of the Christmas celebrations. Yikes!!

Are you asking about Disneyland or Walt Disney World? Based on your Small World comment, I think you may be on the wrong forum.

Small World at Disneyland has a Christmas overlay. That's probably why it's closed.

Fantasmic will likely be showing on weekends only in November....they don't show it every single night except during high season.

IASW will be closed, but not for refurbishment...it's getting it's annual holiday overlay; and it should reopen when the holidays officially start on November 13th.

Maybe postpone your trip by a week, and then you should be good to go on both fronts. :)

Yes -- IASW is scheduled to be down from October 19 through November 5th, which means it will soft open (as usual) before the official holiday season start date. The holidays officially start 11/13, but It's a Small World Holiday usually opens on the prior weekend. This year it should be open on Friday, 11/6.

I mentioned the closure here - http://www.disboards.com/threads/di...i-november-13th.3358217/page-66#post-54387506.

This closure for IASW happens every year, and it's necessary.

Does this stay true once the holiday season starts on the 13th? I thought I remembered reading somewhere on the forum that when the holiday season starts, F! is every night?

I know at some point during the holidays it often shows every night...but it probably won't be every night as early as November 8th, which was the OP's original date in question. ;)

we arrive on the 13th, that's why I'm asking :) I'm trying to figure out if we need.to plan on seeing it on the weekend or if it will be during the week as well.

Typically it only runs on week days the week before Thanksgiving and starting the first full week before Christmas and then through New Years. Otherwise it's weekends only. The historic schedule is under the "Disneyland" link one the blue bar at the top of this page.

I had looked at that before, but I guess I must have seen that the fireworks/christmas parade/WOC run every night that week (or they did in 2014 anyway) and I totally missed that F! wasn't on the schedule during the weekdays. Thanks for making me go look again, @SMD! :)

now to ponder, which day is best to see F!...Saturday night (before the Avengers 1/2) or Sunday night (the day of the 1/2)...hmm
