I see on the Disney website the christmas celebration starts 11/21. However, the calendar shows IASW closed at that time. could this be real?

Yes, it's undergoing an extensive refurb and is supposed to reopen Nov. 29th

See, and the Disneyland press release said it was going to open November 21st along with the rest of the Holiday decorations....

i was wondering when they were going to open the ride back up, it has been down for nearly a year now.

when I was on the train a couple of weeks ago they announced re-opening on Nov. 29th when we went by the closed IASW . . . . . but who knows--could be a soft opening earlier.
