It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have started my

"First Official List for 2009 Trip Planning Purposes."

Dang! It feels good to plan! :goodvibes

#1-I know nothing of this donkey song. I will avoid.

#2-I want to start a list for 2009 too. But will wait for tax season.

#3-I LOVE Riding in Cars with Boys.

LL, Great Update!!! I didn't realize I had gotten behind! You take the most amazing pictures. I am jealous as mine never turn out so beautifully

I must say LL, your TR thread title has had that Mary Poppins song stuck in my head for about a week now..every once in a while, I'll just start singing.. "Oh it's a Jolly Holiday with you Burt.." Ahh!:rotfl:

I'm all caught up now....

Having just gotten a snack at the France Bakery shop a mere 2 days ago I feel so bad for you that Marc picked out a crossiant....boring. I had the most wonderful snack there.....top 5 of the trip I think.

Is it normal to start drooling at the mere mention of a dessert from the French bakery that I don't even know the specific about? :lmao:

Thank you so much!

Oh, sadly, the link is blocked here at school -- I will have to check it out at home. Gosh darn it all!
Did you ever get to check it!? ;)

:lmao: Sorry! That was how it was for me when I first started my TR. I kept humming it to myself all the time.

Yep. I did the same thing.

Day 7. Part 1.

Our last full day. Sigh.

Marc woke up around 9:15, he made some coffee and went and sat on the balcony. Have I mentioned that I love balconies? Well, I do. I woke up around 10AM. I was so very happy to sleep in. When I woke up I did some "housekeeping". I found out how much my direct deposit was from work and this is when I also booked our bounceback for Sept. 2009. Which I came home and cancelled but that is besides the point.

Marc called luggage services about holding our bags this next day after we checked out. No problemo. I called to pay the $20 fee for an extra bag on our AirTran flight home. There was no way we were going to be able to cram everything into the four bags we brought. We needed that bag we bought at World of Disney. It was well the worth the $20. I didn't want to worry about it when we were at the airport.

I made one last phone call to change an ADR. Originally we had an ADR for 1900 Park Fare the next morning (Saturday) before we left. This was my meeting with Mary Poppins! I was planning on wearing my Mary Poppins shirt and everything. Truth be told, I was not feeling waking up and having to worry about getting over to the Grand Floridian. I figured I had met MP and would be fine. Remember that. Instead, we got a lunch ADR at MK for Saturday. It would be our goodbye to my happy place if you will.

We decided to go have lunch at Roaring Fork. We both went with the Double Cheeseburgers with Fries. I got a cheese danish for dessert and Marc got a chocolate cake thingy. I have to say, that the value of Roaring Fork is very much worth it for 1 CS credit. We give it two thumbs up! Very tasty.

After lunch we went swimming. I took some pictures before getting in the pool.

The ducks were awfully brave swimming in the pool with people. It grosses me out just a bit.

The pool was pretty empty as it was kinda overcast. There were MEGA lifeguards on duty. I think I counted five at one point. They kept switching of positions as well. The way they patrol around the pool while you are swimming made me feel like I was on a cell block in prison being guarded. It started to rain. We stayed in the pool for a bit since it wasn't thundering & lightening, I felt bad for the lifeguards they were getting drenched. I got out of the water first, and sat underneath one of the table umbrellas and dried off as much as I could. After swimming, I would always feel awkward traipsing through the lobby like a half drenched rat. WL seemed too fancy pants for that, does that make sense?

After swimming, we showered, dressed and packed up our room the best we could. We didn't want to have to do it after MNSSHP or rush around in the morning either. We left W. Lodge around 3:45PM to head to Magic Kingdom. We of course took the boat, we just love the boat. It was the smaller boat this time. This is when the nice boat CM was training a younger College Program CM, the older CM was very chatty and told us about the fireworks display that a bunch of companies would be hosting at the end of the month. I filed that away for my Lapuettes that were going later in the month.

We arrived. I took pictures as we went of course. I adored the CM's costumes and two very nice CM's agreed to pose for a picture after I complimented them on their costumes. I have to say that the Disney CM's are truly awesome on a daily basis but they seemed even happier and fun loving this evening. Must be the spirit of Halloween.

Day 7. Part 1. Continued.

First up, I was on a mission to find the shelf that was featured in the Imagineering Field Guide to Magic Kingdom. We hadn't been able to find it all. We looked all over, we even asked a CM upstairs near the train and downstairs near the stroller rental. I was so upset. The shelf has objects from the different lands. Pooh's honeypot and such. I was bummed. No one knew what I was talking about. We took the train over to Frontierland where I searched for the shelf again just in case I read wrong, no luck.

We walked over to Frontierland. The Pirate Tutorial was just starting and we watched a few minutes of that. I believe this is "TK's Captain Jack". He is easy on the eyes.

We walked right onto Pirates, there was only a 5 minute wait posted. Which was what Splash Mountain had been posted at as well. No, we didn't ride it. I have hair issues, remember? We did the photopass opportunity outside of Pirates.

I wanted to go walk through Swiss Family Robinson but Marc didn't want too. This was the one and only time he refused to go on something. He just didn't want too. So he went and got us a Dole Whip to split instead. Very yummy!

2869363907_daec4381cf.jpg

We went back to Liberty Square and rode Haunted Mansion...again. It was a walk on, no waiting for us! We also went on Peter Pan which was posted at a 15 minute wait. I started to freak a bit about the line once we were in it because I didn't want to be late for our Crystal Palace dinner ADR. Marc timed the wait for us since I was freaking and it was only 7 minutes! Yahoo. We both loved Peter Pan. It's so simple yet so much fun!

At some point I also bought Minnie Ears for the party. I had wanted the Pirate Ears but just didn't like how they looked so I skipped them and settled for Minnie.

We arrived at Crystal Palace at 6PM for our 6:05PM ADR. We just didn't enjoy dinner as much as we liked our Breakfast. It was really really loud in there too. We were amused by this couple who was eating next to us that wanted nothing to do with the characters and were complaining about all the "wild" children. We knew it would be loud, if you don't like that atmosphere than don't eat there! I would say if you want to experience a quieter meal at CP, then do an before park opening breakfast ADR.

Marc had Mac & Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Heirloom Tomato Salad with Mozz, Red Onions & Kalamata Olives, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Thai Curry Mussels, Multigrain cranberry roll (dry he said) and Beef.

I had Thai Curry Mussels (good), Roll, Pulled Pork, Mashed Potatoes (Yum!), Shrimp, Mac & Cheese and Chicken Nuggets.

After our dinner, we headed to Main Street and took some photopass pictures.

Wonderfully relaxing morning -- that double cheeseburger looks delicious!

Don't you just love everything about MNSSHP?

I have a theory about the whole 1900 Park Fare thing...
