I have to be honest, I am starting to get butterflies in my stomach and a wee touch of nerves. Don't get me wrong, I am super excited to go to Disney but a little nervous. I think it's the anticipation.
I feel like I accomplished a lot today. In list form, shall we?
Letter for MIL -- I had to write out the instructions for the kitty care. It kills me that she coming to check on them but I rather have them checked on than not. That's how much I love my furbabies.
Seats on Flight -- On a whim I was showing my cubicle mate on how you can pick your seats on AirTran flights. So I went to the screen for the return flight from Orlando. Originally I had paid $24 to pick our seats on the way there and the way home. On the way there we had a two seats in a row. On the way home we were going to have three seats in a row. DH has mucho anxiety about the close quarters on the plane so being the good wife I am, I said I would sit in the middle. Boo. Today I saw that on the way home, there is seat rows of two now! Yayayayayaya for flight changes! Yayayayayaya for two seats!! Yayayayayayaya!!!
Memory Cards -- Laugh if you will, I did pick up two 1GB memory cards. They were on sale for $14.99 at Target! I was very excited to get them for so cheap. That's a lot of memory for your buck! I am confident that I will have enough memory for pictures and video. As long as they don't fail....
Email to Mom -- I sent my Mom our Flight and Hotel information with phone numbers and all that good stuff. I did not send it to MIL because I don't want her tracking me down. I let my mom know that if something awful happens that she will have to call MIL, I did provide her phone number because I am good like that.
Litter Box -- DH and I bought an extra large roasting pan to use as an extra litter box while we are gone. We put it down early to make sure it would work. Good thing we did. Didn't work so well, so I had to pick up a cheapo litter box at Target. Which is more difficult than you think since Sulley is ginormous and over 23lbs! They were out of the large size, so I had to pick up a shallow tupperware container.

That is probably more than you ever wanted to know about a cat litter box.
Cleaned Desk -- I cleaned my desk at work and reorganized my set up. I really like it. I have to clean my desk before I go on vacation. Helps me to ease back into stupid work.
Keys -- DH is going to drop off our house keys to MIL tonight. She did offer to come pick them up on Friday night. No thanks.
We have a few things on to do list still:
Pick up some back heat patches for me -- Stupid back pain. Of course, like an idiot I was moving furniture around this weekend. Idiot.
Clean the House -- MIL coming, enough said.
Laundry -- Need to do both our work laundry so we can pack most of it.
Finish Packing -- I am so close to be finished, alas I know that on Friday night when I get home, I will unpack everything and start over because I will fear that I have forgotten something.
Paint My Toesies -- I removed my nail polish on my toesies over a week ago to cleanse the toesies. They must be clean for the dream squad juju. I think I will be painting them tomorrow night to provide the optimum results once I am down there. Jackpot!!
Charge Camera Batteries -- In the process of charging them all.
I am sure I will think of a million more things to do before we leave. I am special like that.
Over the last few weeks I have been getting into the Disney spirit by watching Disney movies and finishing "Walt Disney The Triumph of the American Imagination" by Neal Gabler. The biography is so good and it's pretty fair as well. It's not jaded but not sugar coated either. I am just about at the end and think I will finish it before we leave.
As far as the Disney movies, I realized that I am a complete sap. The other night I watched "The Littler Mermaid" and balled my eyes out at the end. When I was little, and mind you LL was just about 7 or 8 when this movie first came out, I remember watching it with my cousins and they laughed at me because I cried at the ending. The part that gets me is when King Triton gives Ariel her human legs, I start crying EVERY TIME! Then at the end at the Wedding, when he makes the big wave to reach her on the boat, SOBBING. I thought I had outgrown it. Not so much, I still cried.
I also cried at "The Fox and The Hound" when Widow Tweed sends Tod back into the forest. Sobbed. DH had fallen asleep and he was woken up by my sobbing. I was so upset I had to turn it off and didn't see the ending. I still haven't watched the end, and I forgot what happened. I can't risk the tears again.
Other movies I have watched in the last few weeks...
Mulan
Pocahontas
Beauty & The Beast
Ratatouille
Peter Pan
Brother Bear
Bambi II
Atlantis
Alice in Wonderland
Monsters, Inc.
Finding Nemo
Toy Story
Robin Hood
I think that's it. Oh and in case you were wondering, DH has fallen asleep during all the ones that I have been watching on the nights he is home. I am saving Mary Poppins for Friday night.
While I was in Target today I saw "The Little Mermaid III" and I wanted to buy it so badly. Alas, I didn't. I have an
Amazon gift card and plan on purchasing it as soon as I return from Disney. I loved "The Little Mermaid II" (release it from the Vault, oh wise Disney Vault Gods

) and really want to see this third installment. Hmmm....I can't decide which movie to watch tonight....suggestions?
