It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

I feel oh so loved and so popular this morning! I love waking up to comments.

Sometimes the menfolk have such a lackluster reaction, eh?

Drives me nuts.:lmao:
They just don't get it. But if he sends me one more email about internet theories and conspiracies(spelling?), I am going to go through the roof. Yesterday I got one about Paul McCartney really being dead. At least he finally got it through that I do NOT want to hear lies about my beloved Walt. :headache:

I didn't notice the heel, I bet that helps with arch support.:thumbsup2
They are supposed to be really good for your back too. I pulled some muscles in back when I worked at the children's facility about 4-5 years ago. I have a hard time walking for long distances, and even doing dishes because of the way I have to bend down so I am hoping they will help. :worship:

So sorry about the Old Navy nonsense. But yeah for the final payment! :cool1: :cool1:

Hi my name is Crissy and I also am addicted to online shopping. There must be some kind of help for us.

I like both of them. Hoping one of them works for you!:thumbsup2
Thanks! I really want the sandals to work. :worship:

:woohoo: Whoo hoo!:woohoo:
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

That stinks about Old Navy.

And congrats on having your trip paid in full. You should be getting some nice Disney mail soon!!!

Cute shoes!!! The pink sandals look comfy and Adidas are great. And you got a great deal.

I've never shopped for shoes online.
I bought my Mary Jane Crocs from Shoebuy.com as well. They have great service, free shipping & free returns!

LL,

That stinks about Old Navy!

Hurray for making your final payment! Lots of pixiedust for that! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I like the new shoes -- of course, those sandals are in my favorite color! :goodvibes
I know, they are so pink and cute. I am sucker for pink shoes. Growing up, we could never find girl sneakers for me because I had such large feet so I had to buy mens. Boo. Whenever I find cute pink shoes in my size, I get irrational. :rotfl:

Ooh, very cute!

I've also heard good things about Earth Shoes; let me know how they work out! :goodvibes
Thank you. :thumbsup2

You have to let me know...I am still looking for the perfect shoe for WDW... Although the crocs sandals may be high on my list!
One of the things I didn't like about my crocs were they squeaked. Annoying! Granted, I could wear the super thin socks with them that I bought but ehhh. I will bring them for evening wear to give my footsies a break. I found when working 15 hour days, that if I switched my shoes halfway through it was very refreshing. I am going to implement this at WDW. :thumbsup2

::yes:: I didn't switch shoes during the day, but I did try to switch every other day. No achy legs or back, so it worked for me! :thumbsup2

Shoe switching - I hadn't thought about this! I'm already anticipating terribly sore feet and legs for our week at WDW - I'll have to try the switching technique!

"Training walks" help, too. Per the advice of the Unofficial Guide, I made sure I was able to walk five miles in one stretch without any issues. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes I am expecting aches & pains in general but will go prepared with proper medication.

It worked for me when I did long days.

I need to get my butt moving on this. DH is a much slower walker than me so I think that will help if I pace myself to him. He likes to take everything in and I like to get to where I am going. :rotfl:

That's the way that Charles and I are: I am forever "striding purposefully" to where I am headed, and he is forever telling me that "it's not a race."

:rotfl: Nevi and I are fast walkers, too. Melneth would be, but she has shorter legs. :lmao:

I'm going to check ShoeBuy today. The Mary Jane crocs are cute!!!

My dad sounds just like your DH!!! He likes to stroll along without a care in the world. My mom and I are walking at quick pace to get to the next attraction. You could tell your DH what I told my dad. I told my dad if he can't keep up, I'm renting one of those motorized scooters for him :lmao:

I have already warned DH that I will be leaving him in the dust if he doesn't keep up or warming a bench if he wants to be a party pooper and not go on a ride. I don't want to miss out on my faves! :thumbsup2

I never realized how much my life is centered around lists until I signed up for the DIS. You know, I find scraps of paper everywhere with lists and I can't seem to to do anything until I have a list. Sometimes, two or three lists until I am motivated. Sad but true. What can I say, I love my listy ways.
I know I post a To Do list a few updates back but I am posting a more updated one with more information. I love having pertinent information all together so I have been working on this master WDW TO DO LIST as I call it. Not only is this the master list I am working off of, but it's broken down into categories because that is how Lady Listy lists.

To Do List:
Pack Suitcases - I finally fully unpacked my suitcase from Bermuda so I am making progress.
Buy toiletries - Completed. I had so much fun at WalMart this weekend. We even bought some little tide packets for some sink washing. I am blaming legomom with her talk of the toiletry website. All her fault.
Pack Meds (ibuprofen, prilosec, DH's Meds.) - Obviously can't do this yet but I do need to pick up some prilosec, are you kidding me? Tums won't do for Free Dining.
Order T-shirts - Completed. Though I do need to get a grey t-shirt for me. Stupid Old Navy.
Buy T-shirt transfer paper (light & dark?) - Completed. My mom gave me about 4 sheets of light transfer paper and I bought a package of dark. I win.
Make T-shirts
Print out T-shirt DISigns - Still not sure if I will do all of these or not.
*Mary Poppins
*I believe in Fairies
*2 Mickey & Minnie Honeymoon
*2 Wall-E
*2 MNSSHP
Assemble Tip & Mousekeeping Envelopes - They are printed out, just need to finish putting them together and put the money in them.
Get small change from the bank
Memory card for camera - I am borrowing my mom's 2GB memory card since I have three of mine I don't think I will need it but like the security of having an extra.
Figure out Camera Flash - I still haven't had time to read my manual. My dad wasn't sure but did give me some pointers.
Make more LGMH’s - I made three. I don't like them. I am going to attempt some more.
Print out & laminate individual itinerary days - Waiting on final details, like If U Had Wing's contact info for DIS meet and photo session date & time.
Buy sneakers or shoes for LL - Or how about both plus 1 extra pair of sandals? Hehehe. My DH really loves me and my crazy shoe expeditions this week. All three are in the mail. Can't wait to see how they all work.
Buy Socks for Both - Completed. We both bought ones with extra arch support and moisture wicking.
Pre-purchase photo CD - I am hoping to do this before the end of the month.
Schedule WL photo session (30 days out) - Still haven't pin pointed the exact day but here are the top two options. I also want to get some of the best lighting and don't really know when that is so plan to ask when I call.
*9/4 - Late afternoon 2-5pm?
*9/5 - Morning 11-12pm or Afternoon 2-3pm

Money, Money, Money:
$50 on L's Disney Rewards Card (at least 13 more to be added waiting for next cycle)
$37 on DH's Disney Rewards Card
$40 in Disney Dollars
$15 on Disney Gift Card

$142 Total in “Free” Money

Food Expenses = $425
Photo Session = $25
Photo CD = $99 (before trip)
Mousekeeping Envelopes = $21 ($3 a night)
Various “Tipping” = $20

Total Expenses = $590

The money is really a very very very rough estimate but it makes me feel better having one.

The food expenses are the OOP meals we are paying for plus our tips. It went up slightly from what I figured in the ADR update. Silly me forgot we had to pay for appetizers. I also figured on the way high end, figuring an appetizer for each of us at each meal...just in case. I highly doubt we will be doing that but I was a girl scout and being prepared is the name of the game.

I haven't set aside or planned for any souvenir money over the $142 "free" money that we have. If we have extra when we go, we do. If not, we will survive. Or pout. Either one. I have already requested my birthday money from my Mom before we leave and she had no problem-o with that. She's the bestest Mom. That means more souvie money!

Souvenir List
Mr. Potato Head (?) (Toon Town or DTD)
Basin
Art of Disney
Pins
Christmas Ornament
Magnet

DH and I have decided that we want to get Christmas Ornaments and Magnets from all of our trips together. I want a Mr. Potato Head so badly that I can taste it. I am just a big kid. I have a collection of pins that I plan to bring down with me. I am not sure if I will trade but it will be part of my park wear. I want to check out Basin and Art of Disney.

Food Treats
Dole Whip
School Bread in Norway
Homemade Ice Cream Sandwich from Main St. Bakery
Goofy’s Candy Co.
Lapu Lapu
Breakfast sandwich from Main St. Bakery

These are the food treats that stick out in my mind. I doubt I will consume all of it but there is always next time. Who am I kidding? I am going to be on a food mission.

Hair Issues
Onto another issue. Hair. Yes, hair. I am stressed out about my hair. I want to look good, call me vain if you must, but I know I will be hot and sweaty in pictures and figure if I an be ahead of the game and have cute hair they won't be so bad. Remember, I am the gal who wore a hairpiece for her Wedding. Anyhoo, I saw on a TR that a younger girl (teen) got a little braid hair do at the GF hair salon. It was braids going from her forehead to about halfway down her head. The bottom half of her hair was loose. Very cute. It cost $55, I think they said. She had about 10 or 12 braids. They were attached to her scalp if that makes sense, not hanging in her face. It was very cute. On her. I would love to do something like that because I wouldn't have to worry about my bangs, I have bang angst. Wow. Doesn't sound right at all.
I just don't want to look like a fool, trying to look younger than I am or it not be flattering on my rounder face. :::Sigh::: I think if it looked good, I wouldn't mind having it for the photo session. The young girl kept it in all week and even when she got home. I hate my hair in a pony tail because it's so thin and not quite long enough, I get stupid wispy's and look like a pin head as my Mom says. Thoughts? Suggestions? Opinions?

1. I had no idea you wore a hairpiece for your wedding!
2. Are you talking about corn rows that the girl got at the GF? Like Bo Derek in 10 just not all the way down your head? If that is want you are talking about....I would suggest not doing that. That would be too young looking on you IMHO.

I did wear a hairpiece and I loved it. It is sadly sitting in my closet.

See that is what I was worried about. I just don't want to deal with my hair. Who the heck knows. :confused3 I have been trying to grow it out but why? I don't know. I used to have such thick beautiful hair...and now I don't. Blech.

Now I have to go look at your wedding pictures again.

:lmao: :rotfl: I did post about it when I was deciding whether or not to wear it. I think I am going to have to experiment with some differenty styles for WDW. The things I obsess over... :rolleyes1

Have you tried a headband? I was one a headband kick for a while....now it's always in a loose bun.
