It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Cinderella's Royal Table @ 8PM (DxDP)
I can't wait! :hyper: This is the holy grail of LL's WDW trip. :hyper:
Appetizers: I am going to have Corn and Crab Soup with sour cream and chive. Mmmmm, I have read wonderful things about this and I plan to indugle in it. I think DF is ordering the Vegetable Spring Roll or the soup along with me.
Entrees: I am torn between the Prime Rib or the Lemon Lavendar Chicken. Mmmmm. I have no idea what DF wants.
Dessert: Chocolate Cream Cheese Buckle! Or if DF gets the hint I sent him via email (the numbers for the bakeries at WDW) maybe a birthday cake! :rotfl:

Cinderella's Royal Table!!!!

Isn't this your Birthday too??

Yes! It is!!

I am hoping to try the strawberry soup thingy.

I LOVE strawberry soup! You've never had it?! Mmmm. It was actually one of the appetizers during dinner on my cruise. It's served cold - just an FYI. At least it was for us, though I would imagine this is the case for the dish in general. Kind of tastes like melted strawberry ice cream. But better. Strawberrier.

Another thing I love? GRILLED PINEAPPLE. Seriously? SERIOUSLY.

A little off topic BUT...there is a great Brazilian BBQ in Providence called Rodizio. They serve grilled pineapple along with about 10 different kinds of meats on skewers, garlic bread on skewers and a small Brazilian/Italian buffet. It's all you can eat for $27.99.

And believe me, this girl gets $27.99 worth of pineapple.

Here's what they do: cut off the top, bottom and "skin" of the pineapple. Baste it with a butter/cinnamon mixture, stick it on a skewer and put it on the rotisserie until the outside is just crispy. It's served HOTHOTHOT and literally BURSTS in your mouth.

So juicy and fruity and mmmmm.

I know I have posted my ADR's in the mega itinerary but I think these little gems deserve the very own list! I even put possible dining selections for myself. As well as some for DF, because we will be sharing. ::yes:: I am using the menus of allears.net for reference. I am sure they will probably change, so again...possible selections.

The ADR's

Day 1 - Saturday August 30th - Rose & Crown Pub @ 8PM(DxDP)
I can't wait for Rose & Crown, this was the very first ADR that I fully decided upon. We are hoping to get an outside table for Illuminations but I won't cry if we don't. It seems that they will let you go outside to watch even if you are inside.
Possible Dining Selections:
Appetizer for LL : Rose & Crown Cheese Plate or Roasted Mushrooms. DF : ??
Entree for LL : Fish & Chips (these are the whole reason I booked this...yuuum. Entree for DF : ??
Dessert for LL : Sticky Toffee Pudding. DF : ?? Yeah, I know, I have no "sharing" preferences for DF. Of course, if he doesn't agree with my sharing ideas at anytime he will order what he wants. :rotfl:

Day 2 - Sunday August 31st - Crystal Palace @ 8:20AM (DxDP)
I admit, I am going here mainly for almost empy park pictures in front of the Castle. Plus I think it would be awesome to be able to stroll down Main Street without hordes of people. Of course we will be doing buffett which is pretty self explanatory.
Artist Point @ 5:30PM (DxDP)
I am really excited about Artist Point, orginally we had California Grill booked for this night but I decided I wanted to wait for a future trip. It will also be our first glimpse of the Wilderness Lodge and I am sure it will get us even more excitd for our stay later in the week. I am also excited about dressing up for dinner and then taking some time to explore the Polynesian Resort after dinner and the Electrical Water Pageant. :dance3:
Possible Dining Selections:
Appetizers: Ideally DF and I would share the Crispy Venison Spring Rolls. The Duck Confit is also calling my name but I will leave the second selection up to DF, cause I am nice like that.
Entrees: I am really torn between the Buffalo and the Salmon. I think those are what DF are leaning towards as well.
Desserts: Again I am torn, between the cobbler and the warm heirloom apple tart. Who knows what DF will get.

Day 3 - Monday September 1st - Coral Reef @ 11:30AM (DxDP)
I have wanted to eat here since my Full House days, a dream coming true! I have been trying to reach Debbie @ Coral Reef to arrange for the diver and personalized menus but she hasn't gotten back to me yet. It's been about a week too, I will just have to be more patient. I want to do it as a surprise for DF.
Appetizers : CREAMY LOBSTER SOUP!! CREAMY LOBSTER SOUP!! I think that is what both of us will order.
Entrees: I want the Lobster Salad. I saw a picture of this and it looks like a little slice of heaven. I know being from Maine, it's a little ironic to order lobster while at WDW but I love it. DF has been eyeing the Blackend Catfish.
Desserts: The Chocolate Wave for LL and DF is up in the air.
Brown Derby/Fantasmic Package @ 5:10PM (DxDP)
Brown Derby was another quick decision as far as ADR's go. I am really looking forward to it.
Appetizers: Cobb Salad, I mean what else would we get on our first trip to Brown Derby?
Entrees: Brown Derby is one place where I just can't decide it all seems yummy, I think it's going to be one of those last minute decisions. I am sure some would argue that all dining decisons should be last minute but alas the wonder of planning 180 days out!
Desserts: I want to try the Grapefruit Cake. Has anyone out there tried it? Is it really really strong? I don't like to eat grapefruit but don't mind grapefruit flavoring if that makes sense. I think DF wants the creme brulee but I can't remember and if I ask him he will look at me like I am nuts.
Day Four - Tuesday September 2nd - Les Chefs des France (DxDP)
Note: We will be partaking in a CS lunch either at Pop or Animal Kingdom.
Having dinner at LCDF was a more recent change after drooling over the food porn thread and reading some reviews.
Appetizers: I think I want Tarte a la Flame Alsacienne, translation flatbread baked with cream fraiche, onion and bacon. Not sure though, there is Bisque de Homard/LOBSTER BISQUE on the menu and it might be hard to resisit. DF has expressed much interest in the Soupe a l'oignon gratinee/Onion Soup.
Entrees: I am leaning towards teh Gratin de macaroni but I think it is going to be one of those whatever appeals to me most at the moment. I have no idea what DF will order. As you can see he doesn't like to play the what will we eat 2 months from now game with LL.
Desserts: I will be partaking in the Crepe a la pome et cannelle, glace vanille, caramel jus de pommes. Mmmm. Again, DF?

That concludes the first four days, to be continued....

Rose & Crown Pub---don't know much about the food but the beer/ales are great
Crystal Palace---my favorite place. This is due to the fact that Winnie the Pooh is there.
Coral Reef---awesome. Food and atmosphere are great.
Les Chefs de France---delicious. YUM YUM

Back to our regular ramblings...

Day 5 - Wednesday September 3rd - Kona Cafe @ 10AM (OOP)
Note: We will probably pay out of pocket for Kona instead of using a DxDP credit. This is the day we are checking into WL and I think we are planning to do a CS at WL or at one of the other parks.
I am going to have the Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes and DF is going to have Tonga Toast, so I can nibble. I think DF wants to try the press coffee pot and I might indulge in a mimosa, it will be my birthady afterall!

Day 6 - Thursday September 4th - Le Cellier @ 8:05PM (DDP)
I have been wishy washy about Le Cellier from the beginning but after reading alan_renfroe's review of it and TK's insistance, I am sticking to it!
Appetizer: As we will be on the regular dining plan at this time, we will be paying for apps out of pocked. Even so, I think we would both like to try the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup.
Entrees: I think I will be going with the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon and I bet ya that DF will too.
Desserts: No Idea.

Day 7 - Friday September 5th - 1900 Park Fare @ 9:55AM (DDP)

Mary Poppins! Again, another breakfast buffet so nothing fun to report except I am hoping to try the strawberry soup thingy.

Kona Cafe @ 5PM (DDP)
We canceled 50's Prime Time Cafe so we could partake in the most delish Kona Cafe.
Appetizers: I am so paying for the STICKY WINGS out of pocket. I am brainwashing DF to order the Lump Crab Cakes so we can share.
Entrees: I absolutely want to try EVERYTHING on the menu so it's a toss up to what I will pick. I am starting to drool.
drooling-5.gif
Dessert: I am torn between the Chocolate Macadamia Nut Tart or the Kona Kone.

There you have it. The complete list of ADR's that will not be changed again. I, LL, vow not to change these ADR's before my trip. I reserve the right to cancel/tweak while on vacation.

Cinderella's Royal Table---fantastic, awesome, the best, superb etc., etc. etc.
1900 Park Fare---great food, beautiful surroundings
Kona Cafe---ate there a long time ago. Don't remember the food much but the fruity drinks were great. ::yes:: :thumbsup2 We enjoyed the 50's Prime Time Cafe all four times we ate there. But I'm sure you'll enjoy the Kona Cafe too.

Le Cellier @ 8:05PM (DDP)

Desserts: No Idea.

I always get the chocolate whiskey cake....YUM-O

That pineapple sounds delish! Yummm. DF is always telling me about this buffet place he heard about, I can't remember what he called it. He said it's either in New Jersey or Rhode Island, apparently they are interchangable in his mind. Anyhoo, it's a seafood buffet. ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER and prime rib and an haagen daiz bar. Mmmmmmmmm. I know you don't like seafood but it excites me, I want to go. It's something like $70 per person. I could it that in lobster, no problem!

Mmmm, that sounds good. I need to put highlighters on my packing list!

Mmmhmm. I am making up for birthdays past. ::yes::

My birthday is in February and with the snow and stuff it stinks to have a winter birthday, so a few years ago I said that I would set asside a special day that would be my "fake" birthday. When the weather is warm and there is more fun to be had outdoors.

I hadn't thought of what day that would be yet.... :goodvibes

I have had crappy birthdays for a long time, except for the first birthday that I had with DF. This is the trip of all birthday trips. :goodvibes

Yayayaya! I am eagerly awaiting an update on your TR! ::yes::

Unfortunately R&C and Illuminations was our second-to-last full day, so it'll take me a bit to get there. But get there I shall!

And I don't know how I missed that your R&C dessert of choice is the sticky toffee pudding, but--oh, shoot. There's no drooling smiley. Need to get to Tink's site that she used.

Anyway, sticky toffee pudding = :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !

You will be in Disney World... It will be awesome!!

Day 3 - Monday September 1st - Coral Reef @ 11:30AM (DxDP)
Desserts: The Chocolate Wave for LL and DF is up in the air.
If you are a key lime fan, the key lime tart is to die for. I loved it, it was my favorite dessert last year.
Brown Derby/Fantasmic Package @ 5:10PM (DxDP)
Desserts: I want to try the Grapefruit Cake. Has anyone out there tried it? Is it really really strong? I don't like to eat grapefruit but don't mind grapefruit flavoring if that makes sense. I think DF wants the creme brulee but I can't remember and if I ask him he will look at me like I am nuts.
I have had the grapefruit cake. Very light, very refreshing, very good frosting. I'm not a fan of grapefruit truly, but I really like this cake. And although it's like a signature dessert for them, don't ignore their other options, they have some fabulous desserts. The creme brulee is very good, too.

Awesome, girlie, great list.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the info on the grapefruit cake, I think at least one of us will get this so we can try it. ::yes::
