This counts as an update because....LL is going to WDW because of Wedding stress.
I need opinions, loyal DIS'ers. First though, I need to give you a little background. I have a hate/love/hate relationship with my hair. Shocker! What woman doesn't? When I was growing up, I had massively thick hair. I mean so thick that my mom would try to put a pony (that's what I called them back in the day) and she could barely get the elastic to go around twice. It was that thick. My grandmother and aunt on my dad's side had/have very very very thin hair. My mom says that when she was pregnant with me she prayed and hoped that I would have thick beautiful hair because she didn't want a bald daughter. My mom, she's got her priorities straight. Anyways, growing up, all through high school up until college, I had thick beautiful hair. Then I discovered hair dye and a stressful relationship and my hair turned thin and limp and couldn't do a thing with it! I think a combination of wishing for thinner hair growing up, hair dye, not eating properly and a stressful home life with the ex led to a LL with very thin, yucky hair. Needless to say, I want thick beautiful hair. It has gotten thicker, I take better care, eat better and just pamper it much better. Though, not as thick as I would like.
I have a secret desire for hair extensions/fake hair in general to give me this boost. I think this is way I watch America's Next Top Model because I obsess over all the different things they can do with extensions, I also enjoy the photography aspect of the show. Anyways....today I did it. I went to Sally Beauty Supply with my mom and DF and bought some hair pieces for the wedding!
We dyed my hair as well, and will be highlighting it closer to the wedding to match a little better. I want you guys to tell me your opinion, does it look really really fake? Does it look good? Will I look at these pictures ten years from now and ask myself, what the heck was I thinking? I plan to keep my veil on throughout the wedding, there is no dancing, so I don't think it will bother me too much. I love the body and oomph of the hair, but I don't want to look like a fool.
Here is my hair, "waiting" for me.
We had to preview the outside look as well.
So, what do you guys think? My real hair will be highlighted so it will match just a bit better. Will I regret this? Please help me wise fashion guru's!!
