It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

This is very late, but I'm still working on catching up with all the posts.

Background Time! DF looooooves Zombies. His love of Zombies frightens me. He has a book entitled, "The Zombie Survival Guide".

 Um, I actually have this too. It's by Max Brooks, and I was curious what Mel's son was up to. It's actually pretty funny; you just have to realize it's written with a "straight" face and not meant to be taken seriously.

Please just let me pretend my eclectic taste in books just makes me a more well-rounded person. Rounder than a sphere, even. :rolleyes1

:lmao: I will tell DF that you have it too. He bought it because he thought it would be funny, so I understand. I just thought it was nuts when we first started dating, zombie book and then he made me watch "House of a 1,000 Corpses" Ugh. That movie scared the begeezes out of me. :scared1:
Opposites really do attract. :lovestruc

Mary Poppins --- We are going to the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and she is on the list of Characters. This is why I booked it. :cloud9:

I want to get a picture with her too. I would frame it for my Dad for Christmas. (His first crush was Mary Poppins.)

Belle --- I just love love love Belle. I think it's the book thing.

Dito here...

If I get my Belle costume made, I really want to get my picture taken with her.

Mickey & Minnie --- Last but not least, the mice. :cloud9:

This is a must for me too... I really want to have the picture from when I was 7 and the picture from this trip framed side by side.

I'll send you plans, blueprints and instructions for accosting, ahem, picture-taking with said pirate.

If you could get those to me... I would repay you with lots of pictures of our favorite pirate, and details on how the accosting.... umm picture-taking goes.

Yeah, I don't really go for the slasher movies myself. I do have my limits!

I did watch Shaun of the Dead (funny British zombie movie) and liked that.

But again, I am Eclectic Entertainment Girl. I'll watch most movies (slasher flicks and the really dumb "Hey, isn't stupidity cool!" ones excluded), read most books (I range from urban fantasy to Dave Eggers)... sadly I think if I have to go for my opposite, I'll wind up with a guy who likes nothing. Oh well, maybe I'd be entertained by poking him with a stick to ensure he's still alive. :rotfl:

On another note, I've made it through all the posts, so now I've subscribed! Yay!

LL has a secret obsession. LL wants to get her picture taken with as many Disney Characters as humanly possible. princess: pirate:
A worthy cause, mate!

Mary Poppins --- We are going to the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and she is on the list of Characters. This is why I booked it. :cloud9:
Alright, forgive me but I'm going to be the annoying...ahem...I mean Disney chic-ified gal who tells where you can find these lovely characters.

In addition, to Park Fare, Mary Poppins can sometimes be spotted in Epcot near the International Gateway, or in MGM during the large character meet n greets at the Sorcerer's Hat.

Stitch --- I love this little guy. I want my picture with him. We did have the Best Friends Breakfast booked but we decided to go with Kona Cafe instead. I hope I can track him down.
Typically we run into Stitch to the left of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Sometimes Buzz is there, sometimes Stitch, I think they alternate because of proximity to their attractions.

Belle --- I just love love love Belle. I think it's the book thing.
I've always caught up with my favorite princess in France. Sometimes she's in that little garden niche in the back of France, last time, she was right out front across from it.

Merlin --- I have heard that Merlin is out at MNSSHP, I am hoping that he is. I love Sword in the Stone.
One I haven't met yet...you'll have to let me know.:thumbsup2

Chip & Dale --- RESCUE RANGERS!
I have seen them everywhere. In the Magic Kingdom in the very front, in Epcot in a variety of spots including Character Connection and right by the International Gateway, in MGM during the large meet n greet near the hat.

Villians --- I would like to get a few pictures with the Villians, I think it would be fun, I don't think I have ever really seen any in the parks either. Do they have Ursula? Because that would just be awesome to get my picture with her, I can ask her if we are related! :lmao:
I think Ursula is specifically part of the parade at MNSSHP, but I'm not 100% positive on that. Other than that, your best bet is to do the Villian Meet n Greet in front of the castle at the Halloween party.

Sulley --- I really want another picture of Sulley. I can show my kitty his namesake. :sulley:
He's in MGM but I don't know if they've shuffled around the Pixar characters at all what with Toy Story Mania.

Captain Jack Sparrow --- As TK's friend, I just think it wouldn't be prudent of me to skip out on Captain Jack Sparrow.

Do I really have to disclose his location? I mean isn't it top, top secret?

Just kidding. Consistently, he does the Pirate Tutorials in the Magic Kingdom, and if we're lucky, maybe he'll be doing a test run of meet n greets in Adventureland during September. I'll ask my mom where he was during the PPP.

Mickey & Minnie --- Last but not least, the mice. :cloud9:
Everywhere.

I think my list is pretty ambitious but here's to giving it the ol' LL try!
It may seem ambitious, but I think it's totally doable. Have you given any though to whether or not you and DF then DH will be purchasing a photopass CD? Did you know you can pre-purchase at a discount? I was just thinking with all these character photo-ops, it might be worth it for you.

I'll send you plans, blueprints and instructions for accosting, ahem, picture-taking with said pirate.

Not the secret plans, Tink...not the secret plans!!!!

Just kidding, I"ll share the love with LL. But only because she's special. And religiously reads and comments on both our pre-trip reports...and has listened to us blather on about Jack Sparrow ad nauseum. Yes, she's worthy.;)

I now have Wayne's World stuck in my head:

"We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"

Now just put spiky-mullet-y brown and blonde wigs on these guys:

:worship: :worship:

If she were president, she'd be babe-ra-ham Lincoln!:lmao:

Schwing!:lmao:

Camera one, camera two, camera one, camera two:lmao:

Can't you go to guest services, maybe and ask when/where the characters are, did I read that somewhere on the DIS or is it a Disney Urban Legend?

I think we are going to pre-purchase. I also want to do one of the photo sessions at GF or the Poly. If you pre-purchase the CD then the session is only $25 instead of $50. DF and I aren't having a pro photographer at our wedding, my aunt is doing the pictures and she does a bang up job but it would be nice to have some special disney photos. I would like to get one with the Bride & Groom mouse ears as well.

Yay! I'm worthy. I think the blather has made me obsessed with getting my pic with him as well. pirate:

Mary Poppins --- We are going to the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and she is on the list of Characters. This is why I booked it. :cloud9:

She was out in the lobby of 1900 Park Fare when we went wearing her Jolly Holliday dress. Chelsea has had her picture made with her every year that we have gone. :goodvibes

Stitch --- I love this little guy. I want my picture with him. We did have the Best Friends Breakfast booked but we decided to go with Kona Cafe instead. I hope I can track him down.

Tomorrowland is a great place to track him down. He was also at Typhoon Lagoon when we went in April.

Belle --- I just love love love Belle. I think it's the book thing.

She's my fave princess. She reads and she isn't afraid to stand up to the cranky Beast. France is a good spot or the character tent in Toon Town.

Chip & Dale --- RESCUE RANGERS!

HA HA HA! My brother used to love that show, and I always watched it with him. I can still sing the song!

Captain Jack Sparrow --- As TK's friend, I just think it wouldn't be prudent of me to skip out on Captain Jack Sparrow.

:lmao:

Mickey & Minnie --- Last but not least, the mice. :cloud9:

Toon Town is the best place!

Can you tell I have done my fair share of character autographs over the years? ;)

My name is LL and I have a Disney T-Shirt Addiction. :wave2:

My question to everyone out there is, have any of you tried the Mickey Head Tie Dye T-Shirts??

I have been reading the instructions on the DIS but was wondering if any of my faithful followers have tried them and if they have any tips or hints?!

I haven't but that tie dyed t-shirts sound cool.

I have never made them, but I think I have a link to a set of instructions somewhere in my bookmarks. I'd like to try them, but I am afraid. I think it may be DH's job. Add more to the debt to be repaid! ;)

I've been dying to try it, but haven't worked up the nerve yet. Still may try to make them for my nieces before our trip.

I haven't done Mickey head tie-dying, but I did tie-dye a shirt at a summer camp many, many moons ago. It was fun, but I think the dye was cheap because it faded after a few washes.

I think they sound cool too, I think DF and I are going to try them after the wedding craziness and honeymoon.

I think TK likes adding debt to her DH! ;)

Fabric dye scares me so I have never attempted tie-dying of any sort.
Okay...you need to explain why it scares you...??

Ha Ha...dying. Good pun!

I haven't tie-dyed a shirt since Girl Scouts in middle school. The links I found had some really good tips for keeping your t-shirts vibrant.

Links to the two threads I found. One is a spiral shirt and the other is just a regular one.

Fabric dye scares me because I always envision it getting everywhere and staining everything -- and never coming out.

We are very accident prone and paranoid at Chez Charleston Princess's. :)

That's perfectally normal. I thought you were going to give some weird fear of being dyed a color yourself or something. :rotfl:
