It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Hey LL, I love, love, love your cruise trip mascot. She is just the cutest little mermaid I have ever seen! I cannot wait to see multiple photos of her in various situations...enjoying a tropical drink, lounging by the pool, flipping her fins in the ocean...NOUrsulatakingovertheship...:lmao:
I talked to my mom about the cruise and she said the seas were really really rough. Makes me a little uneasy, I am hoping by the end of June they will calm down a bit.

Aww, I'm glad that my running commentary on my son has made you interested in the world of boy. Truly, when I was first pregnant, everyone thought I was having a girl. I guess because I had wanted one for so long. But the night before my ultrasound, she didn't tell me, but my mom said to my nana, I know its a boy. As a matter of fact, when we called my father he said "no sh-" He was really excited. See, he let me in on when he was younger, and having us, he didn't feel confident enough to raise boys, just his own insecurities. So he is over the moon on having a grandson. Oddly enough, when I found out he was a boy, I was relieved...because truthfully, in the deepest recesses of my heart, I did not feel confident enough to raise a girl. Isn't that funny? So silly now, but I am soooooooo glad that God blessed me with a little boy. Even though I'm always amazed at the copious amounts of energy and the things that he likes to do, I think it's been wonderful and eye-opening. Everyone should be so lucky. :goodvibes
Hehehe...world of boy. I really do enjoy reading about the TK Family. :goodvibes

This is the Crocs review that I promised TK. :goodvibes

I have a thing for Mary Jane shoes, maybe it's because that was my grandmother's name or maybe it's that cute little strap, who knows. I have also been intrigued by Crocs since they came out, the vibrant colors, the odd shape but I never could bring myself to "bite the bullet" and actually be brave enough to wear them. Then I found the Mary Jane Crocs and it was love at first sight. I have been coveting a pair FOREVER, or so it seems. After finding the wonderful coupon code for 20% off Shoebuy.com and then the additional 10% off for my first order, I did it! I bought my very own Mary Jane Crocs in the Celery color.

I asked DF while he was taking the picture if I had pulled up my jeans evenly and he assured me that I did...obviously he was wrong.
IMG_0127.jpg

I feel as though this picture doesn't give the cute celery color justice.

I have been wearing my Crocs around the house, all day Saturday and all day today (Sunday). I have to say that I am in love. They are soooo comfy! I have problems with my right knee and it hasn't bothered me at all this weekend. I think it's because of the Crocs. We went shopping and running errands yesterday and usually when I get home, my tootsies are hurting, not so yesterday. I was ready to keep going. Today, I went out to take pictures and was walking all around and when I came home, feet didn't hurt. I really can't believe it. Also, my feet don't stink! You know that sandal summer stink, it's not happening with my Crocs. DF even did the sniff test, I told him it was for the sake of this review, I had to be accurate to my loyal readers and he gave me the DF approval. Ahem, moving on from foot stink....
I am going to continue to wear these cute little shoes and I will let you know if I find after time that I don't like them as much but so far I am in love. I even returned the croc flip flops that I bought with the Mary Janes for another pair of Mary Janes, in the color grape this time. I have mammoth feet, size 11. I come from a family of giants. Even with my mammoth feet, I feel like these Crocs don't make them ginormous, which is problem in certain types of shoes. The Mary Janes are just a little more delicate the the normal Crocs. I found myself wondering today on my jaunt if I could imagine myself wearing these at WDW and right now I could. I am going to bring them on the cruise for a more extensive "test run" to see if they can withstand the demands of WDW.

Mary Jane Crocs = :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 from LL.

Aren't they cute?

This is my attempt at an artistic side shot of the Croc.

Thank you, thank you! Those do look mighty adorable, I bet the celery color is even cuter in person. Green. It's the new neutral! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear that so far, so good for the comfort level. I am still debating when to buy my Merrells...trying to hold off since I just splurged on stuff for DS. ;) But...those Crocs look cute! Perhaps a pair of pink would go nicely with my Mickey Mouse swimsuit....

I really suggest trying them out. I can't believe how comfy they are and you just can't beat the fun colors! I do think I am going to get some of that body glide stuff I have read that other people use with their crocs just to see if that "enhances" their performance.

It's time for the last Park List. Yes, the last Park List. I have decided that I like making lists so much that there will be more...many more.

Animal Kingdom

Tree of Life --- I love gazing at all of the animal carvings in the tree.

It's Tough to be a Bug! --- I am a sucker for these 3D movies. I really like the theater for this one.

Festival of the Lion King --- I can't wait for DF to see this. I think it will be really exciting. I absolutely loved it when I saw it last trip, it was one of the highlights.

Kilimanjaro Safaris --- I love the Safari. True Story. On the last trip, I ate at The Sizzler (bleck) and was seating next to this cute little family on their first trip to WDW. I heard them talking about going to AK and how they were going to do this and this and didn't think the Safari was worth the long wait in line. LL was shocked! Shocked! I had to save this family from missing the awesome-ness. I politely interrupted them and apologized for eaves dropping, but please oh please go on the Safari. I also told them to get to AK at opening and go straight back, not stopping for anything, to the Safari and ride it. The next night we saw them at the pool and they came up to me and thanked me profusely and told me they had rode it THREE TIMES. LL to the rescue. The little girl had even colored me a picture of one of the animals. :cloud9:

Pangani Forest Trail / Maharajah Jungle Trek --- I am grouping these together because I can't remember which one has the bats. They kinda freak me out but kinda fascinate me too. It's weird. DF is looking forward to these.

Expedition Everest --- I am a ride chicken. One of these days I will post of trips past and tell you all about the Space Mountain debacle. I really, really want to ride this but am afraid I am going to chicken out. I have this irrational fear that I am going to die, even though the sane part of me knows the odds of that are very slim...because the odds are there people, they are there....

Finding Nemo: The Musical ---I can't wait to see this. I am please to hear that theater is no longer in the "wild" and is enclosed, right? Right? I am a big fan of AC at WDW wherever I can get it.

What might be...
Jammin Jungle Parade --- I really don't see us being at AK this late in the day. It's more of a 1/2 day park for us.
DeVine --- I would really like to spot her.
DINOSAUR --- Maybe. Ehh, I am not a huge fan but DF wants to do it. Silly boy.
Kali River Rapids --- I have done this before and again, I don't like to get wet. It musses my hair and makes me crabby. Again, DF wants to go on it. I think I will just try to avoid walking by it. :rolleyes1

Absolutely Won't Do!
A new category for AK.
Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends --- This is the one and only Disney show/attraction I have ever ever ever ever left early. Ack. I can never get those minutes back from my life. I am from New England, raccoons are nothing exotic. Ugh.

Food. Food and more Food.
I honestly don't have any food planned for AK. Probably a CS lunch. I also need my AK theme drink, any suggestions?

AK is by far the shortest list for the Parks. It's an amazing park but the stuff I love to do is pretty manageable in 1/2 a day.

Tree of Life --- I love gazing at all of the animal carvings in the tree.
I am always amazed by this. I mean, I love the castle. And to me, that means I've finally gone to the mothership, kwim? But the Tree of Life...it's just...wow.

Shocked! What a nice story! I can't belive she colored you a picture and everything. See, good karma!

"Who are you?"

"I'm BATMAN!"
:rotfl2:

Obviously a must do in my family.;)

I hate roller coasters. And hate is a strong word, my friends. But for the most part, I hate them. I have never been on one that goes upside down, or backwards, nor do I plan to. I'm right there with you, and for me, it's not a fear of dying, it's a fear of a repeat of Pukefest 2008. Coasters make me physically ill.

So far the plans sound good!:thumbsup2

I personally believe that people were not made to be jostled about in thrill rides. The warning signs alone are enough to send me into a tailspin getting into line. That said, I usually can survive and sometimes like them after I get home and forget the horror of the actual ride. I don't like the panicky I can't breath feeling that I experience while riding them, this also goes for enclosed water sildes, those are like death tunnels to me. :scared:

Another thing you will never, ever see me do. I am claustrophobic and I have a fear of heights. I have somehow managed to talk myself out of it when I fly, but I'm not a fan of it at all. Which is funny, because my sister is a pilot for UPS. Could we be any more different?:lmao:

Yeah, I do not like that kind of stuff at all. I think it's a control issue. Usually with flying, I can handle it because I'm on my way to Disney! And, I also try very hard to remain calm, because I don't want my son to pick up my fears. He can develop his own healthy ones all by himself.:rotfl2:

I am not a huge fan of flying either, I have issues with my ears when I do. I had tears in my eyes last time because they hurt so bad. Plus the whole death thing, yikes. But I tell myself it is for the greater Disney good so I do it. I'm glad I can share my phobias with someone else.

Spaceship Earth

I'm anxious to experience the "updates". I don't know if I can cope with no Jeremy Irons voice soothing me to sleep for a quick 3 minute nap on my 'backwards descent to Earth".

But I agree. This is classic Epicot.

they do have some dole whip soft serve in Captain Cook's, the counter service at the Polynesian.

Add this to the list of 'Carp Tinkerbellarella didn't know about the Poly'! Woohoo!

LL, I'm impressed. For someone who thinks they need to learn more, those are some very, very nice photos! Enjoy your new purchase! :goodvibes

What she said. ;)

Hands down one of the most adorable pictures of a grown man and a doll. Ever. (Also one of the only ones, but that's neither here nor there.)

You know that sandal summer stink, it's not happening with my Crocs. DF even did the sniff test, I told him it was for the sake of this review, I had to be accurate to my loyal readers and he gave me the DF approval.

Wow.

Just.

Wow.

If I asked the BF to do this, I can't even begin to imagine the look I'd get in return. Or the snide comments. For the rest of my life. Every sentence would begin with/include/refer to, "Remember that time you asked me to smell your shoe?"

Pangani = Gorillas and Meerkats
Maharaja (One of my favoritest things ever in the AK) = Tigers and Bats

I might have edited it out of the list while quoting, but I highly recommend Flights of Wonder. I love this!

Great plans!

:flower3:

I'll tell him you said so.

He did have a look of horror but he was laying down at the time so he was in a vulnerable position. He loves me, he puts up with my craziness and foot stink. :lovestruc

If I didn't have the fear of birds landing on my head I would glady indulge in Flights of Wonder, but I think it would be too anxiety riddled for me to enjoy. Birds = Scary.

You have no idea how ironic this is! The "story" of the show revolves around someone who is afraid of birds!

They won't land on your head. There are some points where they swoop through the audience but if you asked a cast member and told them your concern they could tell you where to sit. I've heard people do this. It really is a "hidden gem" of a show.

Hmmm....I will have to think about it. I don't want to miss a hidden gem!

I forgot to address the strap! TK specifically asked me about the strap on the Mary Janes and I forgot! D'oh!

Anyhoo, the strap was a little tight the first time but I read the little tag attached to the Croc and it said if it was tight to pull the strap from the middle and stretch until it felt comfy. I did this and have had no problems whatsoever.

Okay, I can sleep better tonight. Again, while I was falling asleep I went through my "lists" and thought about the Mary Jane straps. Silly LL!

Thanks for the update girlie! I am still debating whether or not to order them. On the budget board, there's a site listed as selling them for $14.95, and they have my size in black. With shipping, comes to $19.95...is that a good price? I have no idea...grocery shopping, my expertise...Crocs, not so much.

I haven't seen them that cheap so I would go for it. I paid $21.46 for mine from shoebuy.com, they were $29.95 and I got 30% off. I think they are worth trying out. :thumbsup2

LL has a secret obsession. LL wants to get her picture taken with as many Disney Characters as humanly possible. princess: pirate:

On my first trip to the World, I remember sitting in an elevated place. I am not sure where, my 5 year old memory isn't that detailed. I remember looking down into a courtyard and Minnie Mouse was there. I was so excited, I wanted to meet her, hug her and take my picture with her. Alas, Minnie was mobbed. All I can remember is a crowd, a swarm, a mob of people surrounding Minnie. On that trip, I would miss Minnie and Mickey for that matter. I did get some autographs of Donald, Pluto and Goofy. They just aren't the same. On the next two trips, I don't remember getting my picture taken with characters. My Dad was way too practical to have his children wait in line for a picture with a character, bless him, the man just doesn't understand Disney. The last trip I took, with the ex, I did manage to get my picture with Minnie, in her cute safari gear. :cloud9: I loved that picture but it has gone to the wayside, that place where all pictures go after breakups. I also got our picture taken with Sulley & Mike from Monsters, Inc. Again, the picture has gone to that sad place where all pictures go.

LL is resolved to get as many pictures as possible with characters this trip. LL doesn't care if she is the only adult in line. LL doesn't care if she has to wait. LL will make DF get in the pictures as well, even if he doesn't like it.

I have hopes and dreams of getting my picture taken with a few characters and as much as I hope they will all happen, I know that is probably unrealistic. Here's to hope!

Mary Poppins --- We are going to the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and she is on the list of Characters. This is why I booked it. :cloud9:

Stitch --- I love this little guy. I want my picture with him. We did have the Best Friends Breakfast booked but we decided to go with Kona Cafe instead. I hope I can track him down.

Belle --- I just love love love Belle. I think it's the book thing.

Merlin --- I have heard that Merlin is out at MNSSHP, I am hoping that he is. I love Sword in the Stone.

Chip & Dale --- RESCUE RANGERS!

Villians --- I would like to get a few pictures with the Villians, I think it would be fun, I don't think I have ever really seen any in the parks either. Do they have Ursula? Because that would just be awesome to get my picture with her, I can ask her if we are related! :lmao:
Sulley --- I really want another picture of Sulley. I can show my kitty his namesake. :sulley:

Captain Jack Sparrow --- As TK's friend, I just think it wouldn't be prudent of me to skip out on Captain Jack Sparrow.

Mickey & Minnie --- Last but not least, the mice. :cloud9:

I think my list is pretty ambitious but here's to giving it the ol' LL try!

Captain Jack Sparrow --- As TK's friend, I just think it wouldn't be prudent of me to skip out on Captain Jack Sparrow.

I'll send you plans, blueprints and instructions for accosting, ahem, picture-taking with said pirate.

Mickey & Minnie --- Last but not least, the mice. :cloud9:

This is a goal for my trip too. I haven't taken a picture with the main mice since I was 12!
