It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

My mom and I are the same way -- we even call each other when we are on vacation -- last year she called me at WDW and asked what we were doing, and it was pure bliss to say, "I am sitting in Adventureland eating a Dole Whip."

I look forward to Sept when it will be the reverse but...

just now, my mom called me so I could hear the band playing in the Grand Floridian. Unfortunately, due to poor cell connection, I only caught bits and pieces. She also told me about the current bounceback offer, but only good through Dec of this year. At least she's thinking of me! :thumbsup2

Awwww, that was sweet of her! How long is she staying? All week?

I think 6 days...she left yesterday, and I believe she gets in very late on Saturday night. I'm not picking her up then, my dad is! Thank goodness...:lmao: A late owl I am not.

I am not one either unless I have had a ton of sleep during the day. Then, I can stay up until about midnight.

Me, too. I was never, ever a morning person...until I had DS. Ah, how life changes after kids.

I have always been more of a morning person as long as I get enough sleep the night before. In fact, if I don't get the major things done in the morning, then they just won't get done. Like I should be cleaning bathrooms right now, but it's 6:30 and it just doesn't sound like fun. :sad2:

I agree that cleaning the bathrooms does not sound like any kind of fun. DISing is so much better. And you're right, this morning I got up, worked out, came home and did two or three loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and vacuumed, all in the am. I love getting this stuff out of the way so I can DIS during DS' naptime. Today was a long one too, I was so lucky!:thumbsup2 Now, however, I have no energy left. Up to DH to entertain DS in the evening! :lmao:

Ahem...excuse me TK, weren't you supposed to post some pictures today...?? :scratchin

:lmao: We call it Daddy Time at our house.

YES, DRILL SARGEANT!

Actually, I decided that for occasion, I deserve a new action figure. Therefore I will be perusing the sites until I can find the cheapest possible way to get myself a new Jack Sparrow. Withhold non G-rated commentary, please.

:lmao: We call it Daddy Time at our house.

I will have to note that for the future! :rotfl2:

Ah, how I extol the virtues of Daddy Time! What a blessing it is.:goodvibes

:lmao: I want a tshirt that says Yes, Drill Sargeant! It makes me giggle. I don't think I have ever worn a tshirt with a saying on it and all of a sudden they are all I think about.
Yay for a new Jack Sparrow action figure!! I still haven't found my trip mascot but I have been looking. I did get my crocs today. They are comfy so far but am waiting to post pics and my official review pending furthur wearage.

I know, I haven't worn tees with sayings on them since college, but all of a sudden I'm feeling this need to revert to my wild ways!

I can't wait to hear about your Crocs. Be sure to wear them lots so we get an accurate portrayal. ;)

I can not recall a single saying tshirt that I have worn. It's really bothering me. I am toying with the idea of making a few for our trip. I really want a "we're all mad here" one.

I think I might return the flip flops, not because they aren't comfortable but I am really picky about how my shoes look. I am going to do further testing tomorrow. I have the mary jane crocs on and they are just so adorable. Further testing must be completed.

I guess perhaps it went with my whole art school/rebellion thing. Although, I must admit, some of the shirts, my mother bought for me! :rotfl:

Okay, fair enough.

I am curious as to whether or not the strap on the Mary Janes will rub uncomfortably on your skin. You'll have to let me know what you think.

Will do. I have been wanting to buy this mary jane crocs since they came out and I finally bit the bullet. I am stimulating the economy all by myself. Crocs, Wilderness Lodge and the new camera I bought today. :lmao: June is another month....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

While I am enjoying the comforts of my new celery colored Mary Jane(That was my grandma's name!) Crocs, I am going to move onto Part 2 of "The Lists".

Disney Hollywood Studios

The Great Movie Ride --- Love it. I remember the trip when I was 13 and my mom's friend was with us, we were in the alien room and I was freaked out and she grabbed my shoulder and I almost peed my pants! :scared1: I may just ride it twice...or three times. Plus I get to see the Mary Poppins carousel horse and that just makes me happy.

Celebrity Hand Prints --- I never realized they were there, or if I did I forgot which is unlikely because I have a really good memory. I really want to see Audrey Hepburn's. I :lovestruc Audrey Hepburn. I hear they have Johnny Depp's but they aren't always out. Why the heck not!? I think they are concerned for women stripping out of their clothes and having meltdowns Elvis style.

Indiana Jones --- I have never seen but would like to try.

Star Tours --- This is on mainly because of DF, I am not a huge fan of these kind of rides but because I am a standup gal I will ride if he wants.

Muppet Vision 3-D --- I love me some muppets. Must get lots of pics of the muppet fountain.

Lights Motors Action blah blah blah --- Meh. I am not a fan of this, but DF is super excited about it so again because I am a stand up gal I will go...again and be freaked out by the really high bleacher seats and worry that I am going to be trampled to death when I trip and fall. :::Sigh:::

Backlot Tour --- The tour is a little eh but I still enjoy it.

One Man's Dream --- I love this. It just makes me happy. Walt Disney was an extraordinary guy and I love this attraction. I highly recommend reading his biography by Bob Thomas. Loved it.

Toy Story Mania --- I have been checking out the preview pictures and I can't wait!!

Voyage of the Little Mermaid --- Have I ever told you that as a little girl I would cry at the end of Little Mermaid? I still get a little misty eyed every time I watch it. I also love The Little Mermaid 2, if you haven't seen it, please do. It's wonderful and a lot of the original voices are in it. Anyhoo, I also enjoy this show because Ursula reminds me of my grandmother (not Mary Jane), no joke, she is one scary lady.

Magic of Disney Animation --- Last time I went, there were Chicken Little characters in the greeting area, woo hoo, I love characters.

Beauty & The Beast --- " I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell. And for once it might be grand, to have someone understand... I want so much more than they've got planned." I love Beauty & The Beast. Does anyone remember the live action storytime belle show that used to be on tv? I loved it.

Tower of Terror --- :confused3 Ehhh. I so want to go on this ride but I just can't commit. I am deathly afraid of falling to my death. When I was little I used to have dreams of just falling, falling down a la Alice and Wonderland and it freaks me out. If I can brave I will, but that is going to be a spur of the moment decision.

Block Party Bash --- I am excited to see it yet sad that I never got to see Stars and Cars. Boo.

Fantasmic --- Woo Hoo! Can't wait, never seen. Have already booked the Fantasmic Dinner Package for 9/1.

Picture with Sulley -- I am hoping this comes true. I love Sulley, he is my cat's name sake. I had my picture with him and Mike at DHS during my last trip at the scare factory scene but of course since the EX is in that picture, it is no longer, even with cropping, it still saddens me to this day, not the EX but the loss of picture. ;)

What might be.....
I love the feel of DHS and am really looking forward to wandering around, taking my time and just enjoying the park and the little nooks and crannys.

Food. Food and more Food.
The Brown Derby --- Mmmmmm. I have never been but I always just stare at The Derb and want to go in and put on a fancy ball gown.
50's Prime Time Cafe --- I am still iffy about this ADR and it might be one we give up for this trip, but I will get to it...someday.

I think most of the things on this list will be accomplished. Except ToT, that is not set in stone, because frankly it scares me. DHS and EPCOT are just about tied in greatness after Magic Kingdom, I love both parks for very different things. Though there are no Dole Whips in DHS, I will be stopping to smell them...or maybe slushie cokes.. Hey TK! :wave2: Are there slushie cokes at DHS??

I recommend seeing this at least once. It's fun, and cute. Although I'm sure CharlestonPrincess would insist on several times during your trip.;)

Toy Story Mania --- I have been checking out the preview pictures and I can't wait!!
Me too! But I am totally refraining from preview pics...the first time I see it will be the first time DH and DS see it. It's so exciting to have something new for our first alone trip. I think this ride will become very special to us.

I love Ursula! She's my favorite villain! I feel she's really misunderstood. ;)

Beauty & The Beast --- " I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. I want it more than I can tell. And for once it might be grand, to have someone understand... I want so much more than they've got planned." I love Beauty & The Beast.

If I try to describe how much I love that movie, or how Belle is my favorite princess, I may be reduced to tears, and since the boys are sleeping on the couch right now, it may wake them up. Suffice it to say, I really love her.

Block Party Bash --- I am excited to see it yet sad that I never got to see Stars and Cars. Boo.
I might like to catch this too, looks like fun.

There's some great details in this park. I highly recommend a little saunter if you can.

Why, yes, LL, there are slushie cokes at DHS. The unfortunate thing is that they move! :scared1: Consistently...and every time we go, we have to relocate them. However, what I recommend is that a couple of days before your trip, you or I post a thread entitled "Where are the slushie cokes at the parks?" Some loyal DISer is sure to be as obsessed as my DH! :lmao:

This grandmother and I do NOT get along at all, take all your conceived perceptions of grandmothers and throw them out the door. LL's Grandmother = Ursula's long lost twin sister minus the tentacles. I always hum "Poor Unfortunate Souls" on the way to visit her. :lmao: This makes me sound heartless but if you only knew. ;)

That is a brillant idea!
