It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

We accrue something like 10 or 11 sick days a year. We are allowed to use two of those days as Personal Days. Our sick time can also be used for doctor's appointments and anything medical related, so it's not too bad.

You really want that mixer don't you?

Cool for being able to use some of your sick leave as personal days! :goodvibes

We just get seven. But at least I don't have to accrue it anymore; I get it all upfront. We can also use it for doc/dentist appointments/other medical things, but I've never asked if we can use them for "mental health" days. But I tend to get killer headaches when I need a mental health day, so I use that as my excuse. :lmao:

I've wanted a Kitchen Aid stand mixer for quite some time. My old cubicle neighbor (who moved away when she transferred to another department, grr) used to tell me whenever she found a deal on Macy's or amazon or whatever. But I never had the discretionary cash.

The model I could get through my rewards program, though, I potentially could get for cheaper than I could a plane ticket to FL. It really depends on how much things go up. :confused3

5. I bought a Gorillapod! What's a Gorillapod you say?

TADA!

I have been snooping around on the Photography board. I have been worried about the stability of my camera for fireworks and parades. That is where the Gorillapod comes in. You are able to either use it as a traditional tripod or you can wrap it around a lamp post or such so you don't get the shaky fireworks picture. I also though it would be convenient for those self portraits of DH and I throughout the World. It has shipped, so hopefully it will be here so I can play around with it this weekend.

I bought one of these too! They are awesome! I found you can even use it to prop your camera on a narrow ledge up against a wall. Mine is a generic one I found at Blacks Photography for $10. I hope I get some good night time shots with it. :)

6. We have found a kitty sitter. MIL has agreed to watch my most precious babies. :scared1: I figure this is a test for future grandchild watching. Speaking of my furbabies...here are so cute pictures of my Ruby. This is of her scaling our spare bedroom door. The flash of hand is DH playing with her in some of the pics.

Cute! My cat looks a lot like this, only she has a calico face. She dos not scale bathroom doors though.. very laid back cat. She jumps up as far as the kitchen table and that's that. In that first shot I could have sworn it was her tail stick out, lol.

Woohoo! I am doing the 30-day dance with you today!

You are so organized and prepared! I have not even bought our park tickets yet. Or started a trip report! I am hoping to hide out and home this weekend and start preparing!

It's thirty da-hays, it's thir-tay da-hays...

Congrats, LL! You're getting close.

And if I may offer a teensy weensy piece of advice?

BUY THE AVERY TRANSFER PAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

Well, I've washed one actually. I'll give you a little spoiler for my next update. It was the dark transfer one, and I actually washed the shirt inside a pillowcase to make sure it didn't accidently turn back right side out and beat against the agitator. This helped to make sure the transfer didn't get cracked. I have to say it looks awesome, and I'm hoping the stretchy fabric one turns out just as well, but I have yet to wash that one.:thumbsup2

I am so nervous to wash mine. Eek! I am going to attempt it either tomorrow night or Saturday. The dark transfer you used was Avery as well, right?

I have solved the great shoe drama of 2008! I am convinced that TK passed on her shoe drama to me through keyboard contact or some such thing. Alas, I am happy to report that shoe drama is no more for LL. For now. I reserve the right to change my mind as previously mentioned.

Not the best pictures, I still haven't read my camera manual. Bah. Oh well, I think they are adorable and pink! I love pink. I also love that they are an off-white/tan-ish color instead of blazing white. I imagine they will hold up to dirt much better. They are quite comfy and I plan to break them in ASAP. Do you want to hear the best part? Huh? Do Ya? Do Ya? THEY WERE THE FIRST PAIR OF SNEAKERS I TRIED ON! :yay: :woohoo:  That never ever happens to big foot LL. Never. They were $59.99. I am going to either cancel my shoebuy order or just return them when they get here.

Want to hear the second to best part? Huh? Do Ya? Do Ya? I BOUGHT A SECOND PAIR OF SHOES FOR ONLY $15!!!! Not only are they shoes, they are work shoes!! Work shoes for $15 in unheard of!! I walked through the clearance section first and saw the cute black shoes in size 12. I figured they would be too big. Nu uh, the brand must run small because they fit. They were $30 but it was Buy One Get One 1/2, so two pairs of shoes for $75. Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

I am very happy with my shoe purchases and not the least bit guilty over them. I have not decided what I am going to do with the super cute pink sandals. I think I am going to see how breaking in my sneakers go.

When we went out tonight, I also work my MJ Crocs with thin socks and they were very comfortable. I think I can definitely get away with this at the parks for 1/2 day situations. Maybe I won't need a pair of sandals and can save that money. I am not 100% sure at the mo'. (I am channeling Hagrid from Harry Potter. I think that is one of my favorite HP lines.)

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and it makes me oh so happy. :upsidedow

The dark transfer was Avery.:thumbsup2 I'm very pleased with how it came out.:goodvibes

Congrats on the shoe success!

I told you, "there is a curse." It's very interesting.:lmao: Glad to see in your case it's been lifted.

Mine however, rages on...now that shoebuy sent me a 20% off code, I'm in the what do I order land again.:lmao:

Two great pairs of shoes!!! I love those new work shoes! I need a pair like that! Where did you find them?
I found them at Famous Footwear. They are great. I am wearing them today.

I am going to wash the shirts tonight and then figure out what I want to buy.
So it's between the Merrell's and the Tevas?? Or has it changed?

Yeah for shoe resolution!

Thank you very much! I am very excited about them. Though, the black shoes are killing my heels but that is to be expected as I am breaking them in.

That happens to me too when I break in shoes. But soon your feet with be in shoe bliss :cloud9:
