You are welcome! I was amazed myself, everytime I go ther eare new details to find and enjoy!

Just so everyone knows, I think each of my updates will end up being in multiple posts. I want to include a lot of my photos and with the 25 limit, it's ends up being two posts, I have a feeling it might grow to three posts at some point. Just be aware, I don't want any of my readers to miss out!

When we last left off, I was dragging my feet trying to convince DH to skip our Crystal Palace ADR. I wanted to enjoy the near empty Main Street and not miss park opening! I was on a mission.

Alas....DH convinced me that we should eat breakfast. Sigh.

IMG_0508.jpg

IMG_0509.jpg

I told you I had a thing for Disney light fixtures. They are simply amazing! We checked in, I just love that CP has that window. Makes the check in process so much easier! We waited about 2 minutes until we were called. Our ADR was for 8:20 and it was probably about 8:10 when we got inside.

IMG_0511.jpg

CP is really just beautiful inside but I can't help but think all that beauty and space just makes it seem even louder than it really is.

IMG_0512.jpg

Our waitress hadn't even come around and guess who showed up!?

IMG_0513.jpg

He was very sweet and I did ask to take a picture, he came up to our table like he was just going to say hello and move on. I found I did this with a lot of character meals during our trip.

We ordered our drinks and we asked our waitress if we could settle our bill right away so that we could get going when we were done. We were very polite about it but she seemed a little taken a back by it. Oh well, I was a woman on a mission!

As soon as I started eating, I was happy that we had come. SO GOOD! In fact, it was so good that I have become obsessed with breakfast pizza and have been trying to convince DH to make it for me.

IMG_0514.jpg

On my plate, I had Pooh's Lasagna, breakfast pizza, pineapple with honey yogurt over it, corned beef hash, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, sausage links and scrambled eggs with cheese. The only thing I didn't really care for was the corned beef hash because there were green peppers in it. Yuck. The Pooh's Lasagna was so good and the honey yogurt was to die for!

IMG_0515.jpg

On DH's plate, egg frittata, breakfast pizza, corned beef hash, sausage links, some kind of meat from the carving station, I can't remember what and bacon. DH's favorite was the Egg Frittata which had tomatoes, squash, onions, peppers, eggs and cheese.

IMG_0516.jpg

IMG_0517.jpg

DH was getting his second plate while Piglet came around so no pictures of him. At this point, I was getting really anxious, and wanted to get going. I had a second plate too but it was basically another piece of breakfast pizza and more breakfast potatoes.

IMG_0518.jpg

IMG_0519.jpg

We left well before park opening, I would say around 8:40 or 8:45. DH was teasing me that I was so excited and ready to go. We both really loved CP for breakfast and it's on our ADR list for 2010. The characters came by very quickly and the restaurant itself wasn't jammed packed yet.

We walked towards the Castle, taking more pictures.

At this point, photopass photographers were out!

After the photopass we headed to the Castle to wait for the Fantasyland rope drop.

Continued in the next post....

I'm really quite proud of this picture.

IMG_0530.jpg

We were right at the front of the rope on the side closest to Cinderella's Royal Table. There were just two little kids in front of us.

IMG_0531.jpg

IMG_0534.jpg

IMG_0535.jpg

A CM came up to DH and I. Asked us how our morning was going, yada yada yada. I was getting excited. Then she asked how many were in our party. I said 2. She looked at the kids in front of me and said, "these aren't yours?" Nope. She moved on. Jerk. I was really getting excited that we would get to open Fantasyland. I had seen this CM talking to a higher up CM or at least it seemed that way and he told her to "go pick a party." Nope not us. She chose another family further down from us to open up Fantasyland. I was bummed. Poor DH had no clue, I had to fill him in later on what happened.

All the CM's came out and started blowing bubbles.

IMG_0536.jpg

IMG_0537.jpg

Then a teen, probably about 15 came booking through the side of the Castle and ran straight into Tinkerbell's Shop. The CM's pushed her back outside to the line and she was right up front. I thought that was a little unfair as there was a mother right up front with her little girl, all dressed up as Tink. I knew there was going to be a footrace.

The Fairy Godmother comes out to greet the family who has been chosen.

IMG_0538.jpg

The CM with her back to the camera is the one who did not pick us. Oh well. The family heads off and then they drop the rope. I felt bad for the mother and her little girl, the older teen beat them to Tinkerbell's Shop to wake up Tink. Not that I have anything against older kids being able to do it but that girl cheated and should have been towards the back of the pack waiting to get into Fantasyland. It also didn't help that the teen's mother was screaming at her from the back of the pack telling her to run fast. Weird. I made myself a promise right then and there, that I would NOT being trying to do this when I have children. I can imagine myself having a full on panic attack at the Fantasyland rope wanting to get there first. Nope. I will not be waking up Tink ever.

DH and I headed to Peter Pan first.

IMG_0542.jpg

Peter Pan Trees, don't ask.
IMG_0539.jpg

We were the first ones on, the Peter Pan ride is big and roomy, we were able to fit very nicely together. As soon as we got off, we asked the CM if we could ride again and she let us cut right back in line since no one was waiting. We really enjoyed Peter Pan. I haven't done it since I was a child so it was nice to see. I loved that Ariel is in Mermaid Lagoon.

After Peter Pan, we went across to It's A Small World.

IMG_0543.jpg

IMG_0544.jpg

IMG_0545.jpg

There was no line. I don't know why I took a picture of this.

IMG_0546.jpg

IMG_0547.jpg

DH and I were the only ones on our boat, we sat up in the front row. There were no space issues width wise. I think the only problem was there wasn't a lot of leg room for me.

On the IASW boat.

Jiri's Hippo Friend. I absolutely had to take a picture of this for her!

Pineapples for the LapuLapuettes!
IMG_0558.jpg

IMG_0562.jpg

After IASW, we doubled back and hit up Snow White. We sat in separate benches in the Snow White car. It would have been really cramped for the two of us to squish together. I felt meh about Snow White, it was nice to ride since we only had a two minute wait.

After we rode Pooh, there was no wait. We also sat in separate benches in the honeypot. We had no problem asking for our own benches.

We took a minute to breath from our Fantasyland Mad Dash.

The Sword in the Stone. For those of you who didn't read my PTR, The Sword in the Stone holds a very special place in my heart. My dad, brother and I used to watch this movie almost every Saturday while growing up. I never knew about the Sword in Fantasyland before I read the Unofficial Guide. This was a must do!

IMG_0565.jpg

A nice lady offered to take a picture with both of us. This is one of my favorites!

After taking our picture with The Sword in the Stone, we started to feel raindrops. UH OH!

Will it rain on our Disney parade?

SO loving this update!!! It focuses on my favorite part of the world---Fantasyland!!!!! Thanks for all the wonderful and NEAT pictures---it makes me remember that there is SO much detail in every turn of that wonderful place!!!!! The whole thing with the teen running into Tink's place REALLY bugs me---I mean C'MON---couldn't she see that precious little girl in the Tink outfit waiting to go in?!?!??!!?!? Oh well---sorry you missed your chance to open the park---maybe next time with your little nugget!!!!!! Can't wait for the next update!!!! Loved the Sword in the stone photos and the ones in front of the castle!!! You got some REALLY great memories to cherish forever!!!

My heart is all a-flutter over the pictures again! Especially the first ones. I don't even know what buildings they are but I love them!

As much as I love the photos, I'm glad you got to have breakfast. You wouldn't have wanted to do your Fantasyland Mad Dash on an empty stomach! Now I need to consider Crystal Palace before park opening...in fact, I think I'm going to call right now!

More, more, more!!! popcorn::

Yay! I'm all caught up!

I am partial to Fantasyland myself, it's just magical. :cloud9:

I am really glad we did breakfast. I hope you called, it was one of our favorite ADR's and it's so awesome being able to go into the park before the crazy crowds.

LL, shall I count the ways that I love your latest update?

1. You ate at Crystal Palace thus reminding me how much we loved breakfast there and how we are totally eating there before the park opens in June.

2. You had the brilliant idea to settle the bill beforehand -- something I will ferret away for June for both CP and Tusker House.

3. You took pictures of all that yummy breakfast food!

4. You took great pictures from unusual angles in Fantasyland.

5. There are pineapples for the Lapuettes! :goodvibes

6. Your Sword in the Stone photos are priceless!!!

Grrr about the teenager and her mother!!! Double grrr about the CM!!!

You keep it up with all these beautiful photos, and you will make me have to go back before June! :rotfl:

I had to laugh that you took pics of IASW with no line cause we did the same thing! I loved the artsy castle pics.

Oh, CP! Your list made my night! I can't take credit for the bill settling beforehand because I read it on someone else's TR. I can't remember whose.

Thanks so much. You better post your no line picture too!

Fun update. Loving all the pics! You are now ready to upgrade to a DSLR I think!!!!
Sigh. Don't tempt me! I was talking to my Dad about tripods and having a trip switch (I think that is what he called it) so that I can capture really great firework pictures. I think if I can swing it, I am going to take a photography class this spring. :thumbsup2

Wow!!! Great update!!

So, there is no way that I can top CP's listy response so I won't even try...

First off- thanks for the warning that your updates may be >1 post. No need to apologize!! From my perspective your updates can be 4-5+ posts!! ::yes::

You really did get some great pictures. Many of the angles/shots were new to me and a very fresh take on WDW, she says in her photography critic voice (whatever that is). That one that you said you were especially proud of is very cool. I like the way it is naturally framed. Are you planning to do anything special with that picture?

Boo to the CM who picked the opening family! Who says that just b/c you don't have kids you're not a family?! Do you ever listen to the DIS Unplugged podcast? They would say that was "hate speech against those who choose not to have kids."

And double boo to the mom and teenage girl. Karma will get them in the end.:headache:

Yippee for going around on Peter Pan 2x in a row! Thanks for the pineapple shout out in IASW!

Love, love, LOVE the sword in the stone picture of the two of you. That is definitely a keeper!!

Oh you should. I took a photography class for my "science" during my undergrad (!!!...ya, I was that good at science!) and then I took a couple more as an "adult" at Northern Essex (the local community college). They were really fun. I'd like to take another one about my DSLR (when I took photography, it was still with film) because my camera can do so many cool things but I don't have a ton of motivation to just sit around and try to learn them. Much more fun in a class. Here is my tripod advice. Make sure you get one that is fairly tall. I had to lean over still to use mine and if a tall person stood in front of me (like on Main St), I lost the shot. Also, get a tripod that tilts your camera veritically. The best shots of the castle needs to be shot vertically to get in the whole thing. I had to just sit my camera on top on the tripod because it didn't "hold" the camera veritically.

Oh, CP! Your list made my night! I can't take credit for the bill settling beforehand because I read it on someone else's TR. I can't remember whose.

Well, your great photos made my night and gave me a great big dose of Disney magic! :goodvibes

Such a cool idea even if you did get it from someone else.
