Yes hockey fans, the hockey Gods have done good and made sure the despicable Habs will not be playing anymore hockey this year!
To make things even sweeter, they made sure it was their own beloved Maple Leafs that sent them golfing.
Here's hoping the Islanders lose today, but even if they win, I will sleep well knowing that Gods team lasted longer than the wretched Habs.

I grew up around the knights for years and years my aunt was married to Roger Lemelin who played for the knights and then went on to play for the Colorado Rockies (I know showing my age LOL). I also have pics from when I was a young guy like pre kindergarten and kindergarten with the team I was included in team photos and indidvidual player photos. I know personally Dino Ciccerelli and Rob Rammage and Sittler and Dave Hutchison Bunny Laroque and many many other well known NHLers that all came through London. As for our teams in the recent past and not so recent past I just can't stand them I guess it is from my background with the team I am not a juniour A fan any longer. As I said before also I am very dissapointed in my HABS for drafting Sergi Kostitsyn his brother is a pretty good hockey player but Sergi is a bum. If it wasn't for the team he has around him his numbers would be terrible.

Yes the Leafs may have missed the playoff's, but I was very happy when they eliminated Montreal on Satuday. Plus Montreal had two chances to get in and blew them both. 1st was on Tursday when they lost to the Rangers and would have eliminated us since we lost to the Islanders. Finally their 2nd chances was on Saturday when they blew that 5-3 lead and had lost only their 2nd game of the season when leading after 2 periods.

While the rest of the league sets their sights on Lord Stanley's Cup, Leafs fans are content with knocking out a mediocre Habs team... no wonder they can't win a cup!!!

For Pirate Dad.....While what you say is true of a Leaf fan like me, if we can't win the cup, I'd rather be sentenced to an eternity onboard The Flying Dutchman, than see the Habs win anything!

Well that and it was actually a 2-0 series lead then Koivu got the infamous Williams highstick in the eye and our series went to hell after that. Mind you we can atleast say we were beaten by the Cup champions LOL.

Yep I love my HABS and I love all our National hockey teams it was awesome seeing the Canadian women smoke the US tonight in the Gold medal game 5-1 to take back the trophy that is rightfully ours. Now I hope our under 18 mens team can do the same and then our mens team at the World championships. There is only one true sport to watch and that is HOCKEY baseball bores me to tears I would rather watch paint dry and football I only like watching the CIS and I am a huge Stangs fan purple and proud baby LOL. Basketball is full of whiners and crack heads.

Yep he best move over. Watching basketball is almost as entertaining as this stupid lawsuit the MP Corderre has against Shane Doan for supposedly calling a french ref in Montreal a bleeping Frenchman. The league reviewed it and made no attempt at justice on either side so Corderre has stepped in to take this fight up on his own and itis honestly for personal and professional gain. What a joke IMHO and no different than Domi suing his kids coach for libel. This is crap you would expect out of basketball and NFL players. Actually the NFL players would just shoot the guy LOL.
