I don't think so.. a persuasive essay has you taking a stand on a topic. And it also has to have people who would take the other stand.. like gay marriage, teen drinking laws, legalizing marajuana, et.

Yeah.. divorce as a general topic, not really, but you could discuss why it's good, or like.. why it shouldn't be allowed.

But you could take a stand on whether divorce is moral, or religious implications, and stuff.

Well if you're going to write a persuasive essay, you need to be able to fully defend one side of it.. so maybe that's not the best topic?

Persuasive essays are rough... I had to write a ten page one last year.. research paper on top of a persausive essay.

because people take advantage of people, and when they're gone they don't realize what they had.

Your statement is: People don't realize what they have until it is gone.

But what would be the opposite of that statement, and would you be able to argue that, too?
