no schooltoday here in northwestern Il for both my elementary & high schooler....

I get to dis & scrapbook all day & they get to do crafts & otherwise destroy my house!

At work again today. Temperature too cold for me to really care what it is...except - out of washer fluid!!!!!! Yikes! Maybe I can sweet talk someone here into helping me with that - I can't pop the hood on my car.

We will start pushing this warmer system down in a day or two. I just need to repair the zipper on my snow goose parka and thaw out and then it is all yours. Today I get to make do with my lesser parka.

Cool! Even down here - I have multiple parkas & different boots for different amounts of snow!
Just glad to not be in St. John's - 100k winds yesterday with snow. ICK!

Accck, no school again on Friday for my daugther's school district! Besides that, they are off on Monday and Tuesday as well. So, let's see, only three days of school this week and three next week. I wish my work schedule had been like that...

No school here today either. With all the Weather cancellations, and Christmas vacation, they have had only 6 days of school between Dec 18th and Jan 20th.

I've only made it to -10 here in the Albany NY area. Even though - I got enough done today so I can stay in tomorrow when the windchill is going to be brutal.

-29 degrees here now. We can throw boiling water in the air and watch it vaporize into crystals or blow bubbles that freeze or stay in the house.

I can't believe your kids go out in such cold temps! Our kids have inside recess if it is not atleast 30 degrees above 0! School was cancelled yesterday becasue temps fell below 0 with the windchill. It is considered to cold for the kiddos at the bus stops.

It has not gone above 0 in 82 hours so you have to find something good about it. The schools have not closed but they did delay them 2 hours this morning. We are supposed to go above 0 this afternoon, good, maybe The dog and I can get a walk in.

my hometown closed school the last two days due to -35 or worse windchills. Luckily I'm not an Orlando resident. I laugh at people who say it's too cold because it's 50 degrees. seriously get a jacket and suck it up!
