and the wait for It's a Small World is 12 minutes longer than Big Thunder Mtn. Railroad!! What the????????

Are they purposefully slowing things down for some reason? I'll be there last week in May to see for myself what is going on

I don't understand the surprise. Many spring breaks before a long holiday weekend equals crazy crowds.:confused3

I expect some of the parks will reach capacity over the next few days.

I look at all of the wait times and I'm not seeing anything that different from what we saw during many years of visiting WDW at Easter.

Lines in the middle of the afternoon were always longer than we cared to wait, which is why we spend the afternoons at the resort after doing attractions for 4-5 hours in the morning. When they have 7 AM EMH like they do today, and usually do at Easter, it's easy to do all of the major rides in a few hours so you don't have to deal with those lines.

Yesterday I noticed that IASM wait times were up and down in the afternoon. When we walked by it was at 20 min so I made my family go on it. Then an hour later it was up to like 50 min and then a while after that it was back to 25. Sorry I don't remember the extact times it was up and down but I did notice that. Of course yesterday there were insane times for all the mountains in the afternoon. Well there were 50+ min wait times for most everything. When the treehouse has a 20 min time posted you know it's busy. :rotfl:

Yeah the MK wait times on MDE right now look pretty reasonable for what Josh said are overall level 9 crowds at 1:22 PM. I feel like I'm missing something lol.

I have seen Small World have a longer wait time then BTMRR before... and it was in October. It was just a crowd fluctuation. It happens.

We have been there the week after Easter...OY! and Thanksgiving week...I will take the later time anyday..even turkey day at Epcot was great until about 1 or 2 pm!!!

Maybe its because of 50th ann hype everyone wants to ride it for nostalgia.

I agree that's what it is....nostalgia for the 50th anniversary...plus...MK lines after lunch are ALL ridiculous in my experience. We always hit MK at night!

Spring breaks are over and School isn't out yet. The numbers of younger children at the park are probably much higher then the older kids at this time.

It's the FP+ dislike "pass the red card lanyard back" trick

If you get a red card lanyard to measure standby times, you are supposed to hold it for 5 minutes, then pass it to the party behind you...and tell them to follow the same instructions.

Hey, the red lanyard is a sacred trust! :rotfl2:

(Not sure I get the "FP+ dislike part of the joke, though...)

Why do so many on here think spring break is only whenever it is where they live?

This week is spring break for millions of children in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia (plus parts of several other states and many private schools.)

Its not the crowds that's unexpected, it's that Small World has a longer wait then Big Thunder Mountain.

:lol. I've always held my red lanyard, but I've always wondered...

Standby lines in 2nd tier attractions like IASW are consistently longer than what they were before FP+

So I'm making up a group of FP+ "haters" trying to artificially make Standby look even worse in hopes of stopping FP+
