I need some planning suggestions for our fifth evening and sixth day in June. Two adults; mom and adult daughter visiting WDW for the “umpteenth” time. Trying to do new stuff this time so are staying in 1BR villa in SSR (not a DVC member) and all ADR’s so far are for restaurants we have never tried. So far we have planned:

Day 1 – Arrive about noonish, check-in, maybe a quick trip to the outlet malls (we’re driving) and pick up some groceries. By then the room should be ready. Unpack, acclimate to resort, then to DTD for dinner (Raglan Road?) and light shopping.

Day 2- EPCOT (rope-drop) morning in future world, lunch at Chefs de France, back to room for a little R&R then back to World Showcase at 5 or 6, counter service for dinner – may try to score a table at Cantina de San Angel for Illuminations (but won’t count on it).

Day 3 – Hollywood Studios (rope-drop) Morning at park, counter service for lunch, return to room for R&R, back to park for evening. Dinner at H&V with Fantasmic dinner package.

Day 4 – Magic Kingdom (rope-drop) Morning at park, counter service for lunch and back to room again for R&R. Early dinner reservations at Ohana then evening in park.

Day 5 – Animal Kingdom (rope-drop) Morning at park, lunch reservations at Tusker House then return to room for R&R again ( okay, I’m not particularly fond of the heat and an afternoon break from the sun and crowds is a necessity ... it is a vacation, after all!).

We are not likely to want to return to AK for the evening so we have an evening and another day to plan. Any suggestions? Any restaurant suggestions? As we will be on the DDP and if I have counted correctly will still have one TS and three CS (snacks are not a problem) to use … I certainly plan to have to pay beyond the plan while on this trip but don’t want to go home with anything unused on the DDP! As we will have a fully equipped kitchen we will plan to do breakfast in our villa in the mornings. Would appreciate any suggestions as if we “wing-it” we are likely to spend it in our hotel room trying to decide.

Has anyone ever tried the spa at SSR … DD thinks massages are in order and DH says he will spring for it.

Well, I can't be any help with SSR-never stayed there.

You may want to try some TS restaurants at some of the resorts. Check out the dining board for reviews, and menus on different restaurants. Since you have a car it will be really easy for you to get to your ressie. at the resorts. Much faster than taking Disney transportation with all the transfers. Some good ones at resorts that come to mind: Boma, Ohana, Kona Cafe, but it all depends on your taste. Our fav. is Ohana.

Also, think about some of the CS options at DTD. Wolfgang Puck Exp. is great and portions are HUGE. Also heard good things about EOS but haven't tried it YET.

Have a good trip!

How about an evening at the Boardwalk? You can check out street performers, the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls, and there are a lot of restaurant choices there too. Also, consider some PI clubs or La Nouba.

Actually just remembered that we do have tickets to LaNouba for our Animal Kingdom evening. My bad!
