Itinerary rumor.

I tried searching for the inventory control fax number but i cant find it. Can anyone help me out and get it for me?

:earsboy: We have been on a DCL cruise 4 times including the Repo 2005 cruise and have 2 more booked in 2006. Our children are grown, no grandchildren as of yet, but still LOVE DCL! We will likely book the Med. cruise in 2007 if it comes about!!! Many friends/neighbors question our sanity when we say we are going on DCL, but it is wonderful. The ship is beautiful, staff is great, food very good, nice adult-only facilities, cabins nicer than other lines (RCL & HAL), entertain is enjoyable, and Castaway Cay is much nicer than other cruise line's islands. Mickey will see us again and again and again...................

Here you go: DCL Inventory Control Fax Number: 407-566-7739

My SIL was here visiting over the weekend. She met an old friend for dinner one night. Today she casually mentioned that said friend is currently house sitting for a DCL exec who is working in Spain "on a special hush hush project" for the next year and a half! Hmmmmmm :confused3 :teeth:

My SIL had no further details because she had no idea I was interested until she saw my face light up at her news. Boy, would I have liked to have been at dinner. The poor guy wouldn't know what hit him...I'd have plenty of questions! ::yes::

That's not a rumor, it's been confirmed for a while now. The exact itinerary is not set, but the cruises will sail out of Barcelona. Dates should come out by April. We are already waitlisted for the Roy or Walt suite! :cool1:

Can't wait. :sunny:

Cash and I are waitlisted for 6154, our favorite!

We are one of the many waitlisted for a speculated repo cruise from Europe....I had done a few searches to get an idea of what the intinerary might look like. If Barcelona is a probablility like Horace thinks, this is a sample intinerary (and price!) for a Norwegian cruise.

Sample Intinerary for cruise leaving out of Barcelona

Cash and I are doing an RCCI transatlantic departing from Miami this April with the same (reverse) itinerary as the Norwegian noted above.

Overnight train to Paris, then fly home after a couple of days visiting the Mouse at DLP.....

Just a "heads up" here. I just got of the phone with DCL, asking about how to get on the waitlist for this cruise. The CM told me they are no longer accepting wait-listing for this cruise and won't accept any until the plans are finalized. Don't know when that will be.

I was a little disappointed, but I am also glad they did this, because it means at least some cabins will be available for us late-comers :) . (seems a little ridiculous to call us "late-comers" for a 2007 cruise)
Either that, or they are already all booked up :teeth: :scared1: .

I should have read the latest posts, but I faxed to Inventory control our request anyway.
If you did fax them, do they respond? I gave them all of my contact info including email. If they are not waitlisting anymore people, do you think they would let me know they can't waitlist me?

:confused3

We sent a fax about three weeks ago and recived a post card in the post confirming they had recived it and would contact us at a later date- so I am hopefully something will come of it.

I have put down for a transatlantic plus a week cruise whilst in the med - well I can dream!

I honestly don't think that DCL is going to be paying any attention to wait listed requests faxed in immediately. The phones will be hopping the first few days with people wanting specific cruises with specific dates, knowing the price and itinerary. These faxed requests are blind, site unseen requests.
May be out in left field on this but it doesn't make sense to accept these faxed requests before live phone calls and online reservations for a tangible product.

You're probably right, but if I didn't fax them, and then saw that they were taking names from the faxes before the general public, I would have kicked myself! :faint:
Doesn't hurt to try!!!

It is quite possible that some have a track record of cruising frequently with DCL and simply don't care so much about specific itinerary and pricing details as they do about joining another inaugural cruise...Cases in point, the Westward repositioning cruise and the '04 10-day holiday cruise...... specific categories booked before the announcement week was out.

What's the saying?...You snooze, you lose? Must be catching...:moped: :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped:

Lynda,
I am so confused. ----so the inaugural is not announced or confirmed but you guys have rooms? How come we did not know about this? Where have I been. Oh yeah---right here!!!How did I miss this one? So when it is announced it will be a mute point because its sold out? Help me out here.

I too got a postcard about 3-4 weeks after faxing my waitlist rqst for summer of 07. My understanding from the last release per posts here is that DCL will call those with waitlist requests BEFORE releasing bookings to the general public. So, they go through the waitlist requests, and everyone who wants to book does so. Then, voilah, the remainder is released. Many people posted here last time about getting their calls and bookings when the itinerary hadn't been released to the general public yet.

I followed the Western Mexican and Repositioning Cruises very closesly at the time that they occurred, and I at NO time heard of ANYONE that received faxes, beforehand and were booked before the general public. I stand to be corrected on that, but don't think that occurred.

I wasn't watching/reading then. But when the special double dips and rest of 06 came out, I remember reading lots of that for several days while the rest of the dis'ers were waiting for the release. It was mostly suite waitlisters though that were posting they'd already gotten their rooms. I read you can waitlist anything, so I did for an SPR. I suppose it remains to be seen if I'll get the call beforehand or not.

After reading these posts, I decided to fax in my request, just to see what may become. Well, I just got this faxed to me this afternoon. Direct from Inventory control. I guess it answers my questions...

Dear Guests.
Historically, Disney Cruise Line Inventory Control has accepted future cruise requests for their suites, as their avallablilty Is very limited. As a courtesy, requests for additional stateroom categories have also been accepted.
There has been a lot of excitement about where we might go in 2007, and we have already experienced a high demand for suites and other stateroom requests even though the rooms aren't open for booking yet. At this time, we are no longer accepting advance suites and stateroom requests for the Disney Magic for 2007.
While we are unabe to accept your reservation request at this time, we want you to know there will still be availability in stateroom categories 12 through 4 when these particular sail dates open and hope that you will check back with us then.
We anticipate opening the Summer 2007 sail dates for sale in the Spring of this year and will post the available itineraries and information on our website, www.disneycruise.com, at that time.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sailing with DCL soon! If you have any questions, please contact our reservation team at 1-800-511-1333.
Sincerely,
Inventory Control
Disney Cruise Line

I swear if Disney had 10 ships sailing they could fill them up and still have people waiting in line!
