Can't wait.![]()

I would love to sail on a cruise to the Med. as we had the Roy suite for the Mexican Riviera. However, I would prefer some basis for how this rumor is confirmed before I give DCL any extra money.
Thanks!

Since at least 2002, servers on the Magic have been telling passengers that a new ship, the Disney Dream, is under construction. (Don't get excited; in reality DCL has still not contracted for a third ship.).
Horace Horsecollar said:However, the Mediterranean cruises are about as secret as the California cruises were before they were announced in May 2004. This seems to be more than just a rumor among servers or Internet users repeating a fabricated story.
I fully expect the Disney Magic to sail the Mediterranean Sea in summer 2007.
Disneynut1955 said:I may be way wrong in my opinion, but with the high price of Disney cruises, how many people will honestly pay to fly a family of 4 or more to Spain to cruise for a 5-7 day cruise? Maybe I am underestimating the draw of Disney, but I have watched these boards as countless people have already called for their own personal boycott because of rising prices.
Horace Horsecollar said:Disney fans who live in Europe (and there are millions) will have the opposite perspective. Finally a chance to take a Disney Cruise that doesn't require expensive flights across the Atlantic! There are a bunch of European discount air carriers. With some advance planning, many Europeans can get very cheap airfares to Barcelona.
Let's suppose DCL offers a dozen cruises out of Barcelona. DCL will have no trouble selling out the 875 staterooms on each cruise. My guess is that the cruises will be especially popular with people in Britain. But there will also be plenty of passengers from other European countries. And there will be plenty of Americans and Canadians repeat cruisers who will welcome the new, "once in a lifetime" itinerary, as well as families that will can afford the money (or frequent flyer points) to combine a European vacation and a Disney Magic c ruise.

BeanoC said:Actually, yes they have... just not publicly . And my source isn't some foolish CM spreading rumors. But I am not going to give the person's name here and cost someone their job!!
But, the more people who want to believe it's just a rumor, the better... it helps my chances of getting my cat. 1 suite!![]()
