Hi! My 9 year old daughter and I are going to Disney in August for a mother/daughter trip. We have 7 day passes. My original plan was 1 full day in MK plus 1/2 day on arrival day and 1/2 on departure day, one day in each other park, and one day to go back to a favorite park. We decided not to do hopper passes. When they released the dates for Halloween Party and they were really early I started to think we should add that. BUT :) it would mess with our "free" day. I can't change around my park days too much because of ADRs but I was able to get a second ADR to the Bon Voyage breakfast for the party day,so I could do it. Here are our 2 options...which would you go with?

Plan 1
Day 1- arrive around 12 to resort, MK, 1900 park fare dinner
Day 2- HS, Hollywood & Vine breakfast, Star Wars dessert party
Day 3- AK, Tusker House
Day 4- Epcot- Akershus
Day 5- MK - BOG breakfast, Crystal Palace Dinner
Day 6- Open day to revisit park of DD's choice, Bon Voyage Breakfast
Day 7 -Chef Mickey Breakfast, morning in MK, then home

or

Plan 2 -removes dessert party and the revisit favorite park day, adds halloween party

Day 1- arrive around 12 to resort, MK, 1900 park fare dinner
Day 2- HS, Hollywood & Vine breakfast
Day 3- Bon Voyage Breakfast, late morning/early afternoon rest and pool, Halloween Party
Day 4- Epcot- Akershus
Day 5- MK - BOG breakfast, Crystal Palace Dinner
Day 6- AK- Tusker House
Day 7 -Chef Mickey Breakfast, morning in MK, then home

With Plan 2, you're losing a day of your 7-day ticket and adding the expense of the party. If your DD will want to dress up for the party, remember it will be VERY hot even into the evening. I also think this plan is very heavy on MK, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Are any of your Plan 1 MK days, party days? That would factor into my choice. If you're going to lose the evenings at MK or it will mess with your CP dinner, I'd probably favor Plan 2, but right now, I'd keep Plan 1.

I would go with Plan 2 because the Halloween party i really amazing. If you end up with something you really want to revisit, you could always swap out your final morning at MK to somewhere else.

I know this isn't the question you are asking but do you want to go to parks all 7 days? I am only saying this because I am going in August too and it will be crazy hot. I actually booked a park ticket that is 2 days less than the total length of our stay - with no parks on arrival or departure day and also a "rest" pool day in the middle...

With a 7 day trip like yours...and you may have waaayyy more stamina than my 11 year old and I so of course feel free to throw this advice out the window...but I would suggest a 4 day ticket, plus do the party on another day so that's 5 park days...then on arrival or departure day maybe do DS and pool time or resort hop to restaurants or something...

But if you have enough energy...either of your plans look fantastic...I just couldn't keep up with you lol :)) I would go with plan 2 though as I have been to the parties and they are really fun and the rides are much less crowded as well. Love the Boo to You parade.

I would probably choose Plan 1 of the two. Especially if you have already bought the 7 day tickets. If you haven't bought tickets, the party can be fun. Hope you have a magical trip either way.
