Itchy Scalp

I don't know if its the cold weather or my scalp has changed and is now sensitive, anyone know what causes you scalp to become itchy - it really get bad after I color it?
Are there any shampoos or anything to help calm it down when it flares up?

I have eczema on my scalp and get flare-ups. I use Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp shampoo. I also have Neutragena T-Gel. I'm afraid that for me, nothing really works except for a prescription lotion for my scalp. I am afraid to use regular shampoo for fear of making it worse.

Two options that are worth trying...but not sure how the hair-coloring would be affected.

Trader Joe's tea tree tingle (which is a knock-off of Giovanni's Triple Tree treat, which is available at Rite Aid and Whole Foods) conditioner helps mine.

Just to be on the safe side, have someone check you for lice. I thought DDs itchy scalp was just from the dry weather. I was wrong!

We moved from lovely moist Florida filled with glorious glorious humidity where my hair and scalp THRIVED, back to cold dry NC recently and my scalp is NOT happy. It gets all flaky now. I've tried a few things and so far the thing that works best is Head and Shoulders.
