itchy rash

Ok got a rash almost a week a go and have tried just about all the OTC creams and sprays. Took some benadryll tonight and all that did was make me sleep for a few hours any suggestions on how to stop the itching before I scratch my skin off?

What kind of rash is it? Something like Poison Oak/Ivy/Sumac?

Or is it a heat rash from the sun where you get little bumps that itch?

Caladryl for the Ivy Stuff . . .Cortizone for the sun bumps . . .

I think benedryl makes everyone sleepy!

I am calling the doc in the morning---never have had poison ivy or anything like. As for the heat have not been in the heat all AC house, work and car. The rash is on my neck and chest area.

Have you changed laundry detergents or soap?

neck & chest does sound like a reaction to laundry detergent, but benadryl should have helped. And not to be icky, but have you tried an antifungal cream like Lotrimin AF (in the foot care section)?

It's definitely time for a doctor visit! Hope it stops soon
