We are on the DDP and wanted a recommendation for an Italian restaurant at Disney. We currently have ressies at Alfredo's in Italy but I don't see a whole lot of reviews. Can someone please give us a recommendation? Finer dining Italian food preferred. BTW, how is Marrakesh in Morocco?

Hi, I think Alfredo's is a good as it gets at Disney...I am sure no expert on Italian food, but we have a ball a the last two times we went...we always had a great young waiter from Italy who was fun and a great server...
the food was just fine for me...I had veal once and an Alfredo pasta dish the other time and thought it was just fine...we had the cheese appetizer that was fun and interesting...

There was a very fun accordian player and as with most good Italian restaurants, it was loud and busy!!
I would choose it over Mama Melroses because of the fun and the Italian staff...
Good Luck,
Ted

We had lunch at Alfredo's on May 4th and it was delicious!

There are five Italian TS restaurants at WDW:
Alfredo's (Epcot), Mama Melrose's (MGM), Palio (Swan), Portobello Yacht Club (DTD), and Tony's (MK). The two that start with "P" are the best in terms of fine dining. That doesn't mean the others aren't worth going to. I've eaten at Melrose's and it's fine. I haven't eaten at Alfredo's or Tony's.

Marrakesh is definitely worth a try!

Just an FYI, if you ever venture to the "other theme park", we absolutely LOVE Mamma Della at Portofino Bay Resort. I usually get the eggplant parmigiana.

My family insists on going to Alfredo's. I'm from NJ and am near NYC, there are a million italian restaurants as good if not better than Alfredo's so it really does nothing for me. I would call it "pretty good". Kids might like the musicians.

If you want fine Italian food, I would suggest Palio.

If you want to experience a crowded, loud restaurant with mediocre food, bad service and the tables way to close to together, then head to Alfredos. Just my 2 cents .. :)

We did Alfredo's and I had heard good reviews on the fetaccni alfredo. I was disapointed. The flavor was good but it was really dry. Also the kids ordered plain pasta noodles with no sauce. The pasta was crunchy. My son told me it was stale. The edges were hard and curled up like it had been made and just sat there for a while. Now I have to say that the ceaser salad was out of this world. Other than that I was expecting more. Maybe it was just a bad day. By the way, I am not a picky eater nor am I critical of food. Something has to be really bad for me to complain.

I am probably in the minority here, but we loved Mama Melrose. The flatbreads were very good and our entrees were fabulous. My husband still talks about the dish he had. It was a pasta with a spicy seafood on top, very fresh seafood and lots of it. We had a molten choc cake for dessert which really was killer. The service was excellent.

We also love MM. :) It is an absolute must for each trip. We have an ADR for Palio for September and I am looking forward to trying it too.

Ditto.

We have been to Alfredo's, Mama Melrose, Portobelle Yacht, and Tony's, the only one I would not go back to is Tony's. We visit Alfredo's every trip, the Fettuccine Alfredo is the best, its the original.
