It wouldn't be spring without an Epcot F&G Festival! New pg 35

Glad I could help with the 1 way rental! I have to give credit to the transportation board.

I may book a one way to the Car Care Center and then another one way back to Tampa... would get us our 10 days in a minivan for 224.00. I need to figure out how horrid a change out would be and if it would be worth it to us time wise. Where is the Care Care Center? I'm also going to check at the Holiday Inn near the house we are renting...

We have a car rented for 198.00. A van would be nice for the extra room and if the other family wanted to ride with us. HMMMMM:surfweb:

We've never used the Car Care Center, but we've returned cars at the Dolphin two or three times. It's very easy. And I've heard that it's very easy to rent from there too. I suspect the Car Care Center is just as easy.

Happy Easter, Amy! Hope you all enjoyed The Muppets as much as we did!

Hurray for online check-in this morning!

We saw it in the theater so this was the second time for us - and we loved it again! The BluRay/DVD combo set came with a DVD of some old episodes of the Muppet Show - I can't wait to watch those!

Only 10 days to go!! :cool1:

This morning was very exciting at our house… I got to do online check in!! But also, we put Alex on a school bus with his classmates & sent him off to environmental camp for four nights! The weather doesn’t look fantastic, but hopefully it won’t be a complete rain out for them. Now that I’ve sent him on his way, I can focus on packing for our trip.

Two weeks from today, we’ll be heading to Animal Kingdom!

(I think we should bring sunglasses for the boys this time!)

I’m not sure if we’ll get there for rope drop & take an afternoon break or if we’ll head to AK a little later and head straight to dinner from there. We have a 5pm ADR for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue!!

Now off to start packing into actual suitcases!

I hope Alex has a great time & not too much rain but you're right-they are predicting a crappy week here.:sad2: I am anxious to hear how he makes out.

I told the boys last night that I will be getting suit cases out this week. I did get out my bag I carry on the plane & my hipster & toiletry bag (a new Vera Bradley) from my BFF.:). It is easy for me though because the trip is not a surprise & Cody does know about the BC so no surprise there.:sad2: I just called & added the balcony request. I asked if there were any standard view rooms as we are booked with pool/water view but no availability there or YC. I thought maybe with the pool issue there would be some availability but none!!

Happy packing!!:dance3:

Do you have anything special planned for your 'only' child this week? Will he be lost, or will he like having things to himself at home?

I shall be back tomorrow to do some single digit dancing. ::yes::

I hope he's not your chef because he doesn't look entirely safe! :rotfl:

Sorry that I've gotten behind. I was very busy last week with a quick trip to Williamsburg, a soccer tournament, and Easter.

Your plans look fab.

I am sure Alex will have a great time at camp.

Tell me about the Alamo rental deal you have right now. Does it require a code. I need a 10 day rental in June and right now its $300. I need to improve on that.

Happy packing!

I'm sure Alex will have fun! I've already gotten one call from the nurse... they forgot to give him one of his meds on time & wanted to know if they should give it to him late or skip it. :rolleyes1 I appreciated the call because if they had given it to him late, he would have wet the bed! That wouldn't have been a good way for him to start the trip!

Did Cody figure out where you are staying on his own or did you tell him?

I hope Alex has an awesome time at camp! :)

Thanks MeMom! I think Alex will have a ton of fun! Zach was really sad this morning but he has a friend coming over Thursday (early release day at school) and Tim & I will take him out to dinner tomorrow night. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: That chef does look kind of dangerous!

I used a BJs code/coupon for the current rate we have. But the rates were pretty low even without the code - just going through Alamo Insiders. I think I somehow got a one way discount even though I wasn't supposed to be eligible. They are pushing one way rentals out of Florida (return is supposed to be out of state) but ours is Tampa-Orlando. :confused3 Unless there is just some great deal right now. I'd just keep checking & subscribe to any DIS threads for June car rentals.

Good thing the nurse called you!! That would NOT have been good for him at all.

Cody figured it out. He knew we were staying somewhere that had a gym (his only request) and he knows how much we love BC.

What a fun day planned with a fun meal to end your evening.

I'll be looking forward to reading your review of the food at the Hoop

I know, right? I wrote on his medication sheet in big letters, not to give him the meds after 3:30pm. Glad I wrote that... hopefully today will be smoother for them now that they have the meds organized for all the kids that need them.

Yay for the BC! I saw that the hot tubs are still open! :thumbsup2

I'll be sure to take lots of pictures! :goodvibes

:goofy: Single digits! :dance3:

Thanks MeMom!! I'm so excited!! And the boys still don't know. :hyper: Things have been coming up on the calendar for the time we are away and we've been having to make excuses as to why they are going to miss them. Zach is going to miss another karate belt graduation. :sad2: The last time he promoted to a new belt was in November, when we were at Disney. I'm not sure why his karate place scheduled it like this since next week is the whole district's spring break. They are going to be missing a bunch of people with the graduation on Saturday.

:dancer: :dancer: Time to single digit dance!!! :dancer: :dancer:

Two weeks from today, we’ll be heading to Typhoon Lagoon!
fcc49afe.jpg

This will be a first for all of us! And a first Disney water park for everyone except me. When I was nine, I went to River Country!! The one memory I have from that day is the lifeguard having to rescue my mom & brother! I completely understand why pools don’t allow parents to try to catch their kids at the bottom of most waterslides! My mom went down the waterslide first. I went down second & swam to the edge. My brother, who was 6, came down next & wrapped himself around my mother nearly drowning them both! My dad, who wasn’t a very strong swimmer, came down last, but was too late at that point. :rolleyes1 Luckily the lifeguard just had to throw out the life ring & they grabbed on. Everyone was OK.

I’m looking forward to Typhoon Lagoon & think the boys will love it!

I'm most looking forward to riding Crush 'n' Gusher!

For those of you who have been to Typhoon Lagoon, please share your favorite rides & tips for the park!

I'll be back tomorrow with our plans for Day 7!
PS - Yes, I've looked at the weather! :rolleyes1 Look like it's going to be a hot week. Our arrival day is forecasted to have a high of 88! Sounds like a great pool day to me.

:dance3:Single Digits!!!!:dance3:

88 Degrees!!:scared1: I was hoping for LOW 80's but I will gladly take it.

TL should be lots of fun. Never tried it. We have done BB years ago. It was fun but very tiring. All the sun, water, climbing up all those stairs = drained!! I am not as young as I used to be.:rolleyes1

You all should have a ball!!

 Single Digits

Typhoon lagoon, fun, I went to Blizzard Beach on my honeymoon and I enjoyed the lazy river ;) Do you plan to take many pictures this day or just relax and enjoy everything.

Scary about your families near drowing experience when you were a child.

Sorry about Zach missing another karate belt ceremony, that does stink about them scheduling it like that. I suspect he'll be having so much fun in WDW though:goodvibes

We have never taken our boys to a Disney Water park. Let us know what you think! My hubby and I went on our honeymoon about a million years ago. Or maybe 20.

I had forgot to check the weather. I'm off to do that now. Thanks for the reminder and 10 days for me!

Hurray for Single Digits!!!

We went to Typhoon Lagoon once back in 2008. So much fun! I was actually wondering this morning if we could fit it into the July trip. Get there early and try to do all the slides and stuff before it gets too crowded. :thumbsup2

Oh, and the little mini-doughnuts are really delicious!

 Can we leave yet???

Typhoon Lagoon. If you are going to do the family raft ride do it early in the morning. Very boring que. I was disappointed with how short the actual ride itself was. Really you should do all your sliding first thing. The wave pool is VERY strong when the surf waves are on. It goes in cycles. There are multiple entrances/exits around the lazy river so you don't have to get out where you got in.

It's early yet to be looking at the weather, but it has been trending pretty warm down there. Within the next 10 days, 7 of them are forecasted over 85. There's a 3 day stretch this week with temps around 80. But don't worry... I'll keep you posted!

I know the boys will LOVE TL! I suspect we'll all be tired!

I bought a waterproof disposable camera to bring to TL so I should have some pictures to share!

I emailed Zach's karate teacher about the graduation so we'll see...

I'll definitely be doing a TR when we get back so you'll get to hear all about TL! Happy 10 days!! :cool1:

We definitely plan to get there early! I figured we'd have to hit the slides early. I want to check out the sharks too. Mini-doughnuts sound awesome!!

::yes:: I'm ready! OK... not quite! I guess I need to at least wait for Alex to get home!

We'll definitely hit the slides early! That will be the boys' favorites for sure! I'm scared about the wave pool - I'll have to remember to wait until the waves are off. Alex is a strong swimmer but Zach, not so much. I can't wait to chill out on the lazy river! Water shoes, waterproof camera, towels & kids sized snorkels & masks are packed!
