It wouldn't be spring without an Epcot F&G Festival! New pg 35

I'll be back tomorrow to tell you all about what I'll be doing in two weeks & check in with my to do list!

I guess I'll start tonight... two weeks from now, I'll be a crazy woman with a sleepless night ahead of her!

:laughing:Yeah we need to get up at 2:30 am for a 3:00 pick up so I will probably be in bed at 7:00 to 8:00 & may need some sleep aid!!

I’m very excited to say that we have just two weeks to go!!!

Two weeks from today will be our departure day!! Our flight is at 7:20am, which means we will want to leave the house by 5am! I’ll probably set the alarm for 4am (not that I’ll need it!). I’ll get up & get ready, then send Tim to the shower while I finish packing last minute items. I will have left the suitcases out in the living room the night before. Once Tim is ready to go, we’ll wake up the boys, surprising them with our trip! I don’t think we’ll do a major reveal since it will be about 4:45am! I think waking them up and telling them they don't have school because we're going to Disney will be enough of a surprise!

Once we make it to the airport, we’ll meet up with Heidi & her family! I’m excited to hang out with them while we wait for our flight. Our flight arrives in Tampa at 10:30am.

After we land, we’ll gather our luggage & head to the Alamo car area where we can just pick out a minivan, stop at the booth, then hit the road toward Orlando.

We’ll stop for lunch along the way (drive thru) & instead of stopping at a grocery store, we’re ordering Garden Grocer! It was Tim’s idea! I wasn’t going to do it when we were at BC first, since we wouldn’t have a full fridge, but since we moved to a 1BR villa at Kidani we decided to go for it! We’ll just have to limit the amount of refrigerated stuff we have to transfer to Vistana since everything will sit in our car in the Epcot lot for most of the day.

We should arrive at Kidani around 12:00-12:30!

If the villa is ready, we’ll get settled in before heading to the pool. If not, we’ll head straight to the pool (I’ll pack accordingly) and enjoy some time swimming until our villa is ready.

The only other plan for the day is dinner at ‘Ohana!

After an early morning, with park plans for the next day, we’ll be heading to bed early! But not after watching the animals from our balcony for a little while. Hopefully the Sunset Savanna has a good view of the sunset, which is scheduled for around 8pm.

Sounds like a great plan for first day at Disney

Thanks!! I can't wait to surprise the boys with our savanna view!

I haven't mentioned it to DH one way or the other so I'm not sure if he's expecting savanna view or not. :confused3 It may be a surprise for him too!

Your two week from today plans sound a lot like mine :rolleyes1 Except that we'll probably do a sit down lunch since the kids aren't old enough to successfully eat in the car....plus I really want to try Steak 'n Shake.

Great arrival day plans!!

We also ordered from Garden Grocer. Mainly just breakfast items & water. I did my order today & a few hours later they were calling me to confirm.:thumbsup2

We should be arriving at BC around 10:30 so we may walk over to Epcot or bus to MK. Not sure yet. I know it will NOT be a late night though.

Hooray for 2 weeks!!!

Your first day plans look Great!

@ Heidi: Steak n Shake would be fun for your first Orlando meal

@ Amy: You have so much done on your to do list, that must feel great. Good luck to you and Alex for camp week:goodvibes

How did that happen? :confused3

Steak 'n Shake sounds good... but I'll be antsy to get to Kidani & the kids always look forward to McDonalds! Tim & I may wait until we get there & eat at Mara.

I love Garden Grocer. It worked out really well on our last trip. I got my confirmation call within a few hours too! :thumbsup2

Walking over to Epcot sounds lovely for your first day! I'm looking forward to just relaxing - we've never done that before on arrival day! Plus, the boys are limited to six park days so arrival day seems like a waste of a park day to me.

Hurray for being two weeks away! The boys are going to flip out over the savanna view!

I'm going to flip out!! :hyper:

Two weeks from today, we’ll be getting up & heading to Hollywood Studios!

(It will be day time but I love this picture)

I’m still not sure if we’ll drive or take the bus, but either way, we want to be at Hollywood Studios by 8:15 so we can stop by Guest Relations & get the boys their Guest Assistance Cards. Then we’ll get in line for what will hopefully be a non-rope drop at 8:45. Our first stop will be sign-ups for the Jedi Training class! I’ve mentioned this to the boys a few times & Alex is very interested, but Zach not so much. I’m not sure if he’ll want to do it when he knows it’s an actual possibility or not? We’ll see...
After that we’ll hit all of our favorite rides, the Indiana Jones Stunt show & animation class.

We have an 11:30 lunch ADR at 50s Prime Time Café.

The plan is to leave the park by 3pm & head back to Kidani for a little while.

We’ll either grab a CS dinner at Mara then head to Magic Kingdom or head to MK & grab a CS dinner there. We haven’t been to Cosmic Rays in a long time so we’ll probably eat there since we want to hit the Tomorrowland attractions first. We’ll stay as late as we feel like, since we can sleep in the next morning. MK is open until midnight!

(I love this cool picture from fanpop.com)

See you tomorrow for Day 3!!

Sounds like a great plan for day 2. I would love to be able to stay at MK until midnight.

How did that happen? :confused3

Steak 'n Shake sounds good... but I'll be antsy to get to Kidani & the kids always look forward to McDonalds!

John will be the one antsy to get to POR, but if we get there too early and the room's not ready I'll have too much time to fill even with going swimming. Plus if Liam had McDonald's for his first meal that's all he'll ask for all week. Remember last year when all we heard was "Jungle pool please!"

Our second day is MK in the am, break at the resort, 'Ohana for dinner and MK as late as it works out. I'm going to have the choice to take the bus to MK in the morning because I think the kids would get a kick out it.

I hope we can make it a late night! We'll see... :confused3

I think I'd be stopping for lunch too if I were in your shoes. I'm hoping our villa is ready, but it's possible it won't be ready until 4pm! I'll definitely have a resort day bag packed with bathing suits & stuff. We'll swim, take a break over at Jambo for some snacks, maybe swim there too? :confused3

You should definitely take the bus! It's so much easier than driving to MK & they'll get to ride the monorail later in the week. I hope we see you at MK that night!

I think they'll BOTH end up loving the Jedi Training Academy... it looks like so much fun! :darth:

Late night fun in Magic Kingdom and then sleeping in until you wake up well-rested (no alarm!) to greet the beautiful Florida sunshine - sounds like a lovely plan. :goodvibes

Even if Zach doesn't want to do it, I want Alex to get into a show since he's already 11. I think they can only do it until they are 12 or 13.

I can't wait to hear how the boys like the Jedi Training Academy! :darth:

I hope so too! I hope Zach decides to do it.

I'm really looking forward to our first park day & making the most of it! :thumbsup2

My DS14 used to be a SW junky, but sadly:sad1: it was before they had the Jedi Academy. I know he would have really loved that. DS10 never wanted to do it b/c he's so shy. I'm sure your boys will have a blast!
We (DH, DS10 & I) can't wait to ride RnR. That's one of our favorites.
