It was NOT the time of our lives...but it's still DISNEY! Final thoughts!

Life Update (for anyone whos interested)
We went to our first wedding on Saturday evening I was Dbfs date. The bride looked beautiful and the groomed shed a couple of tears. I also signed up for my first Yoga class starting in a week. Im pretty excited and the best part is that its within walking distance so I dont have to bug Dbf to drive me.
We went shopping on the weekend, I got a skirt and fancy top at Club Monaco and I got a really fun top from Mexx.
I have an overnight bachelorette party and I also have an appointment to go three shades lighter in my hair in two weeks Im still debating over it as my hair is a dark chocolate hair now so it would be close to a light brown .:S
OH.. and I need to start my PTR for our upcoming trip.. did you know I have to book our ADRs by September 5th? And I dont even have the park hours yet Tight squeeze

Eventually deciding to ride Aerosmith in the single riders line to avoid the line ups which were already close to 45 minutes..
I got off first, and waiting in the gift shop for DBF, he was literally right behind me. By this point, we were over our fight.. I took Dbfs hand once he got out off the ride (The fighting was ridiculous and wasnt important) With that small, gesture he understood and we moved on with our day.
Then we walked over to the Little mermaid show (we missed it) so we walked over to the Great movie ride which NEVER has a line up
After the great movie ride, we waited in front of the hat for the characters to come once again. It was hot, we were dying and it had only been a couple of hours.. we spent the time talking with a cm.
Finally, at 10:35Am- Minnie, Eyore, Chip and Dale and few more friends came out. We took a couple of pictures with as many characters as we could before the lines became outrages. The photos didnt turn out that great, they are all not so flattering... but hey.. I got to see some characters.
Fast pass time for TSM was up, so we slowly walked over getting some water from a fountain on the way.
Once we got to TSM, we barely had to wait 10 minutes before we were on. During the line, Dbf and I made a bet. If I won, he had to buy me the movie Enchanted and I cant remember what Dbf would have gotten if he won
because its really not that important. I WON!!!!
(for the first time ever) I was yellow.
Heyyy.. he still hasnt gotten me the Enchanted movie After TSM, Dbf was way too hot, so I suggested we head over to the shop and browse around. He also wanted to purchase a sleeveless top so heres a before shot:

Sci Fi Dine in, was amazing. Coming from a person who grew up in a small town with a drive in then moved to a big city
It really does feel like your actually at a drive in. We had such a great experience
To drink, we had both got a milkshake, I told Dbf I read on dis that they were the best here and we each got a diet coke.

and unfortunately we were too full for dessert. MmmMM those milkshakes were delicious milkshakes are my favorite. Did I mention we picked up two hitchhikers on the way? I guess I also took a picture of my ring while we were sitting there.

I am floored by the news about Grams. I am SO HAPPY FOR HER, but I'm even happier for you - it is very obvious that you only want the best for those you love, and you are willing to do the work to make it happen. It sucks when thing don't work out (I've felt so badly for you, even though I thought you looked great in the Roots photos...) but it has been very clear through this TR that your priorities are with your family and those that you truly love (like DBf.)
I've have been praying for your Grams (every little bit helps, right?) but I was so thrilled to find out that she may very well be on the road to recovery...personally, I think the Sassy wig has something to do with it

After lunch we headed over to Muppets 3D Vision.
Then we slowly made our way over to the bus, snapping these photos on the way
We had to say goodbye to DHS, surprisingly I was really sad because I knew our only day at the parks was half way over.
My choice of parks was the none other than Magic Kingdom. We both cant really remember what we did in what order and theres very few photos because we were just trying to enjoy our last afternoon in the parks. With that, we caught a bus straight from DHS and we were there in no time. First stop, the restroom where I came out to Dbf snapping a photo of this little guy.
Even tho, it was mid afternoon, we wanted to get on as many mountains as lines would allow

We tried to get on Splash Mountain but the line-ups were ridiculous
I think because it was HOT everyone was looking for a good soaking. So we went over to Big thunder mountain which had a wait time of 80 minutes.. NO WAY. We decided to walk over to Pirates and luckily for us there was absolute NO line up.
Next we headed over to the Jungle Cruise were the wait time said 25 minutes so we hopped in line. It def. was 25 minutes of standing behind 3 grown stinky men. After that we made our way over to Mickeys Philarmagic (one of Dbfs fav)
After watching the 3D show, I asked Dbf if we could go back to the Hotel to re-fresh before our dinner ADRs at Jiko. We were so sweating and hot it was gross. I knew that today was our only day but I really felt like we just needed to cool down and relax a bit before dinner, besides wed be catching a bus from AKL to MK after dinner so Id still have all evening in MK.
With that, we headed back to the hotel to re-freshening up. The weather was beautiful:
While we were there, Dbf wanted me to keep the room clean, he kept saying dont make a mess I dont want this room to be a mess.. etc, Hmm.. Suspicious.
Anyways, We took a cab over to AKL because we didnt want to deal with the busses after the hour and a half bus to the Boardwalk Bakery.
As soon as we pulled into AKL, we were impressed.

We checked in, and were seated almost immediately. It must have literally just opened because it was so empty .
With my suggestion, for an appetizer we had the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread.
I ordered a Diet coke and dbf had two various types of beers that I just cannot remember the name of, I apologize. He said they were good. You can also kinda see the view from our table in these photos it was beautiful.
For our main course, I had Oak grilled Filet Mignon
Dbf had the wood fire lamb loin, which he LOVED>
We did not have dessert because we were so full. By the time dinner was completely, Dbf was really impressed with the service and meal he asked to speak the manager. While he was giving his compliments to the manager, I snapped a few pictures of AKL.

Wow, things sure have turned around since the WW3 morning! I'm so glad that your trip is getting better!
I am taking a mini trip in Dec too (it's a surprise to my husband) so we can enjoy the evening Christmas decor at MK, the special Christmas Illuminations show and the Osborne family lights...it's just too hard to do that stuff and then drive 2 hours home. So I've booked a cheapie AP rate at the Pop Century starting on the 9th and checking out on the 12th.
Sounds like you guys will be there at the same time!
And congrats to your grandma, it sounds like she's a fighter.

Hey girl!!! OMG what an update! I just got all caught up... i'm soo happy to hear about Grams and OMG I am sooooo excited for you guys to be going back again AKL is AMAZING! That is what my boyfriend and I talked about having our honeymoon at! Of course you were there.. I find it romantic, peaceful and just all around beautiful..

i'm all caught up now.....YAY for Grams! I'm so glad her cancer seems to be gone! That's such a relief for you! 
THe cake looked great and tasted good too so that's all that matters!
