Woo hoo for Grams GREAT news!!!

I"m not sure if I have ever told anyone but Fall/Winter are my favourite season (I love the weather (not too cold or too hot), I love the colors.... I feel like life starts in September, used to be school, then Thanskgiving, both of our birthdays are in November, first snow fall, decorating for old Saint Nick and then Christmas....AND NOW....

I get to add in a WDW TRIP.​

Were going to WDW again this year....... WOOT WOOT.. I am so excited, DBF FINALLY SAID YES. I can't contain my excitement. We've booked at AKL with free dining for 4 nights 5 days so far. I AM SO EXCITED...

Maybe i'll get the time of my life... after all were at a Deluxe!!

This is such great news also!!! I am so happy for you both!! You need a chance to put all the disappointing experiences behind you and start off your Christmas holidays with a memorable and fun trip!!

Loved the updates! I was happy to hear that WW3 was averted. Looking forward to the surprise!!!

We left off as we were trying to find a seat for spectro; we ended up grabbing seats in Frontierland kind of in front of Pecos Bill. We ended up sitting next to a grandma who took her children and grandchildren to WDW for the first time from California. We spoke and she had no idea of disboards or even that you had to make reservations for the restaurants… oh we tried to help her as best as possible. She was the nicest, friendliest person we have ever met, it was a pleasure to meet her.

Dbf left me to go and find us an ice cream and bottles of water because it was so hot out. We ended up talking until Spectro begun,

I chose not to take any photos during spectro because I knew they wouldn’t show up and because I wanted to enjoy it. Afterwards, we had less than an hour until wishes started because little did I know the parade route changed and we were at the end. DOPE. So we said our goodbyes, she then gave us two fast passes for splash mountain but they had expired over 3 hours ago….it was still a kind gesture because we hadn’t even gotten a change to ride Splash before.

As we were walking over to Main Street to get our spot for wishes: for some strange reason I thought I had read on Dis that it was nice to see the fireworks from behind the castle (by this time it was all roped off we would have had to do some back stepping or go all the way around in order to be directly in front of the castle) Well, NO… that’s the WORSE spot for Firworks because some are shot near the castle and some are wayyy behind Dumbo. This means we had to keep turning our heads from left to right or front and back depending how you stood. I felt robbed or our wishes… it sucked from behind the castle…DBF filled up our bottles of water at a fountain. During that time I ended up taking some photos

It was such a crappy spot we decided to just go home half way through.. so we started to walk over toward tomorrowland to get out…. We didn’t beat the rush and it took us over an hour to get out of MK and home. Phhhewwww………….

As we were walking to our door, I hear Dbf say he’s the key I gotta fix my shoe it’s putting pressure on the back of my heal… I thought something was up, obviously but we were so close to the door it could be possible…

As I walked by the door to our room, he’s what I saw:

I asked Dbf what is going on here, I seriously thought we had the wrong room… he said he had no idea… When I walked into our room, looks like we had a visitor:

Who left a plenty of surprises for me

I cannot forget the hidden tink,

It was such a touching surprise…which I loved. This I was NOT expecting. That night, we got into our PJ’s and I placed a phone call to the Front Desk.

Back story: I wanted to get a half day check at, with a charge of course, in order to be able to keep the room until 3:45pm our DME time. We wanted to spend the day at a water park but we wanted to be able to come back to the hotel to shower and change before getting on the plane.

So I call the front desk, first one tells me not a problem… then we get disconnected. Second lady, tells me NO I can’t even have the room at a half day or even a late check. WHAT? NO matter what I said.. they wouldn’t budge.

With that, we had to be out of the room for like 12 … well we weren ‘t going to go to the water park for 2 hours (9-11am) so that ruined all of Sunday’s plans. Yes, I should have asked as soon as we checked in but I forgot. It was my fault.

We changed our plan for the following morning, dbf had some cake and all I had was a stomach ache. I think I forgot to mention, I had the wicked stomach ache since the morning we left. Anytime I ate, especially dairy, I had to go to the washroom :S I have now found out… 4 weeks later that I must have caught a bacterial infection from something… it was soo bad and that’s why I’ve been sick… so Dbf made an emergency trip to the gift shop to buy some Imodium and pepto. It was about time, I had been suffering since BEFORE we landed.

What a sweet surprise from your Dbf! It sounds like other than your fight, your second day ended up going really well---I was expecting so much worse!

One thing, you do know that you can return after the fastpass return time has expired, right? If the window is between 10:30 and 11:30, you can go back at 1:30, you just can't go back before your fastpass time has opened up. Maybe this will come in handy for your trip in December!

That was a sweet surprise! I was sooooo hoping for a ring!!! I am picturing you in MK in front of the castle all lit up with the Christmas lights in December...right near the statue of Walt and Mickey...and he all of a sudden stops, gets down on one knee and pops the question!! LOL Ahhhh! What a nice romantic moment! I love my DH, but we never had some cute and creative engagement! So, now I want to live it through others! LOL I really do hope though that you get what you want!!!

I"m so thankfull everyone is here reading my TR... it's really help me see that although we had a couple, okay, A LOT of bumps on this trip.. it will just make our next one more magical!!!!

I am SO HAPPY FOR HER, but I'm even happier for you - it is very obvious that you only want the best for those you love, and you are willing to do the work to make it happen. It sucks when thing don't work out (I've felt so badly for you, even though I thought you looked great in the Roots photos...) but it has been very clear through this TR that your priorities are with your family and those that you truly love (like DBf.)I've have been praying for your Grams (every little bit helps, right?) but I was so thrilled to find out that she may very well be on the road to recovery...personally, I think the Sassy wig has something to do with it.

I"m the type of person that loves from my toes up and will do anything for family and friends... but it takes me a long time to let someone as a friend (i've had a lot of bad experiences)!!

Your day looks awesome so far! I grew up with a Drive-In in my hometown too! I used to love going with my parents.Can't wait to hear about your surprise.

Nothing more fun then loading the car up with family and going to the drive in for two great movies. We always bring tons of blankets, lawn chairs and snacks!! Although, most of us fall asleep before the second movie ends it's still so much fun.

Wow, things sure have turned around since the WW3 morning! I'm so glad that your trip is getting better!I am taking a mini trip in Dec too (it's a surprise to my husband) so we can enjoy the evening Christmas decor at MK, the special Christmas Illuminations show and the Osborne family lights...it's just too hard to do that stuff and then drive 2 hours home. So I've booked a cheapie AP rate at the Pop Century starting on the 9th and checking out on the 12th. Sounds like you guys will be there at the same time!And congrats to your grandma, it sounds like she's a fighter.

I was so tired of fighting by the time we got of Aerosmith, it just wasn't worth it... and i love him with my whole heart.. i didn't want to waste anytime fighting.

It's true.. it couldn't have come at a better time.. it was so thoughtful of him.. he really picked gifts that i would have bought anyways.. whats funny is that i bought dbf a donal duck plus for fathers' day from stella to get him excited for WDW and now he got me the matching daisy (which are our fav. characters)

Welcome!!! I know, we had a rough day/saturday morning.. but things are looking up!!! The cake situation still makes me angry.. arugh.

We left off with Saturday and right, for the most part Saturday was a good day. Except for our WW3 fight, the fact that I had to use the washroom every hour at least and we didn’t get our half day check out which changed our whole plans for the following day.

I woke up early on Sunday morning; I showed, straightened my hair and got ready while Dbf slept. Then I woke him up and he showered… I believe we changed into our swimsuits and headed for breakfast. I didn’t get any pictures this morning because it was our last morning and I just wanted to eat. I did have French toast with strawberry sauce, butter and syrup. MmmmMMM… delicious. I can’t even remember what Dbf had…. Then we went back to the pool and lied down for a good hour or two.. The only problem was that they was hardly any sunlight, the clouds get covering up the sun… So we swam and lied out for a bit and then gave up.

We went back to the room, packed and headed out to DTD. If you can re-call we didn’t make it to DTD on the first day because we were exhausted from traveling. I was so exciting for our new plans… really disappointed that I wouldn't get to enjoy the water park but at least I got to do some shopping.

We left our luggage at the hotel and hoped on the bus which was waiting for us. Now I’m going to let the photos do the talking, You can see where we went from each photo and I’ll post my souvenirs at the end of my TR which were from this shopping exercusion.

He will like the gym there. It is a nice little gym, and they have really cool treadmills if he likes to run. Oh gosh you will love staying Deluxe.... you will not want to go back to a value or mod. I swear lol, you get spolied after you stay deluxe, lol.

OMG Rach! I miss one day on the Dis and you post like 100 updates! Let me see if I can remember all that I want to say.

First and foremost, I am SO happy with the news about your grams. It made me get all teary-eyed for all of you and your family. And then to find out you get to go back at Christmas!! That is my favorite time to go to WDW. You are going to have an amazing trip!

The Sci-Fi is a must-do for us. We love that place because of the atmosphere. I'm glad that you liked it! It seems like your day ended up great after the morning argument was over. The surprise in your room was so sweet. How cool that he surprised you after you had been doing so much to surprise him.

DTD shopping is so much fun. They have such a good blend of different types of shops. I'm not a big shopper, but I never get bored at DTD.
