It took me 6 years, but I made it to 10,000...

SkiingFast has lapped me in a much shorter time, but here I am at post number 10,000! I made post #1 on this forum in 2005 while at a hotel in Cincinnatti - of all places - on a business trip when I came across this little forum. Never knew I would be so active here.

I think DIS DLR is a special place. I have posted on many other Disney forums, but this one is different. People are nice here, and more interested in having fun than in flame wars and showing who is smarter.

I value of all of you DISers - especially folks like BlackJackDelta (someone you always want on your side), Mary Jo (who I have met and gave me a big hug), mvf-m11c (aka Bret, who I have also met - at D23 Expo 2011 - Mr. videographer), DangerMouse (who I have never met but just missed a couple times - once at DLR and once at WDW), DLR29 (the USC kid - we never met but were both standing at the rope on Main Street in August on the same morning - and found out too late!), Amy of Amy&Dan, Sherry E, YellowMickeyPonchos (aka Nancy who I have met and hugged), o.c. Tony (met him too), Hound 109, S.S. Columbia, KCMike, GrandBob, SonnyJane, Disney Dreams, SkiingFast (Matt the marathon DIS posting machine), Eeee-va, 3Minnies1Mickey, Judy from Boise (I never learned her actual name or where she is from ), ArchOwl, Albort (the now ex-CM from Disney - who I finally met last August), PinkBudgie and LavendarPeach (the Disney sisters), Dobie (always wise words), I'mTooExcitedToSleep (Tom, who I have met more than once now!). and others who I probably should have thought to mention.

Thanks for making this a place at which I need to stop in every morning!

It was one of your guides that led me to the Disboards. Even though I had been to DLR lots of times, being the researcher that I am, I wanted to see if there was any "insider" information about Disneyland. Thanks for the honorable mention. Congratulations are definitely in order. Wow 10,000 is alot of posts! I have to say though that you give such accurate and helpful information. I always love your take on things. I love the disboards as well. All the people you mentioned and then some are such warm and wonderful people who love all things Disney. Can't wait for the next thread you bring to us. When is the next trip? We really wanted to sneak out there this December for a Christmas weekend getaway but the airfares won't cooperate. Will have to wait for Carsland to open it looks like. Looks like you guys are getting some snow, huh?

I agree with all the PP--Congratulations on achieving this milestone! Just think, if we conservatively estimate how many people have seen one of your 10,000 posts, that is probably at least 10,000 people! There are many lurkers (I was one for a little bit before joining) and for every one of us registered users who thanks you, I am sure there are 5 more lurkers who have benefited as well but don't register to say thanks!
