it there a level where you should not go to Disney

If you take away short term illnesses like the Flu etc. Do you think there is a level of medical problem when you should not go to Disney.

I love Disney and I have been disabled all my live.

My disabled at 1st was a very odd dislexer (why did they make it so hard to spell)

but over over the last few years, I have been get fits, tremors and been losing my balances.

The tremors start to get uncontrollable at about 25C and start fitting at about 27C.

but with planing and a lot of help (Disney are very helpful) and only going to the parks a short time (a max of an hour at a time and I can just about cope)

So some time I think my problems are some time to bad to go to Disney, but I love the place so I keep wanting go more.

Disney is more then the rides and the shows, So I think there is always something for everyone, want every there problems, and Disney will try there best to help, where they can.

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but if you're simply asking do I personally think that there is a level of disability beyond which someone should not consider going to Disney, well then, my answer is absolutely not. Do I think there needs to be significant planning and precautions taken- absolutely.

Every statement would have some exception, and I would say that if someone has, say, active TB, then they shouldn't be in that kind of crowded setting thereby potentially infecting a lot of people. But I think that almost anyone, regardlesss of their disability, can enjoy Disney if there is proper planning and support.

IF you can go without unresonable risk and on the whole it is enjoyable then why should you not go.

Are you saying that those are temperatures above which you cannot cope? Have you thought about going in the middle of winter, say early or mid-January? It would be unusual for it to get that warm in January. That might allow you to enjoy a little more.

As long as you and your doctors feel you can still travel to and around the parks safely, of couse you shouldn't stop going! Disney is one of the most accomodating places in the world, for those of us with disabilites, and I've not yet found a CM who has begrudged me asking for help when I needed it.

On a slight side note, have you considered getting a seizure alert dog? These dogs are trained to spot the signs of seizures before they happen, so you can sit down and avoid the risk of a nasty fall.

my concerns stem from not just on the temperature issue..FL is at or near those temps nearly the entire year..but your comment that you can only do a hour at a time.. when you factor in travel to and from the parks, and the wait time for buses and even the sheer length of travel and time to even GET to the front gate of any park.. how much time are you really spending enjoying the parks? monetarily is it feasible? even skipping all those non must dos at each parks.. how much enjoyment will you really get out of small snippets here and there when you factor in all the added hoopla of actually getting there and back?

is a 2 hour limit your entire max at all.. you can easily spend that amount of time just getting back and forth to a park. or can you spend 2 hours in a park on top of travel to the park and then back tot he resort?

I have major stamina issues and even with the wheelchair in the parks I am wiped out at the end of my day.. and we tend to be gone by no later than 4 pm.. and not always making it for rope drop.

I know this is just a very minor question and not really related to the topic, but (from answers.com):
The word dyslexia is derived from the Greek word, dys (meaning poor or inadequate) and the word lexis (meaning words or language).

By the way, while the most common type of dyslexia appears to words being jumbled/letters appearing backwards/etc., there are MANY forms of it.

I would just like to add taht the first aid station will leet you pop in and take a erst if you need to for medical reasons. THey have private rooms and cots. We have had to do that before. It may make your vist better if you vould do that instead of leaving the park.
