I found a website a few months back called www.getspecialgifts.com. It's one of those sites that you complete offers and they are supposed to send you the gift card of your choice. Well one of the offers you could complete was to register with Ebay & place a bid (you did not have to win the auction). I did that and a few weeks later I received a email telling me to print & mail a form with my name, address, & telephone number. I sent the form in & never expected to receive anything. Well it's been about 2 months but yesterday DH & I both received our $75 visa gift cards (he had done the Ebay deal also)!!! I was in shock!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm not sure if it's still available. Every time I go back to the website now I just have the option to check the status of my gift card. Maybe because of cookies or something??? Not sure. But if it's still available, I can say it is legit!!

I did an offer, too. I placed my order just like I was supposed to and have been waiting 8 weeks to be "approved".

Well, this week my email wouldn't "go through" (after it had EVERY DAY for the past 2 months). It said I didn't complete enough offers, even though the original deal said all I have to do just 1 offer.

-----UPDATED---------

I couldn't believe it. Today I received a $50 gift Card in the mail. I signed up for a $75 one, but at this point I'm thrilled that I received something!

Apparently, when my email quit going through is when I was approved??? Either way, I don't think it's a scam anymore.....just a bit trying, but worth it if you keep after it.

Yeah, $50 free to spend at Disney in 2+ weeks!::yes::

Does anyone want to share this website where you found the offer ????

Well all I can say is I emailed them twice & received an response the first time saying it takes several weeks to process but the second time I emailed them was about a week ago and I didn't get a reply email but did receive my card!!::yes::

I just tried this link and it looks great BUT
first you fill out your personal info, then you answer survey questions about signing up for other offers and then you finally are finished after 5-10 minuters depending if you get an error screen and have to start over:mad: and the finale is thatyou must complete one other offer with a valid credit card to get your $75 credit card. And there is no ebay option.

Just an FYI - I'd like my 15 minutes back;)

I gave it a try, I put in for the Blockbuster one since it's a reputable site. Let's see if I get the gift card :)

Hi. I am about to begin taking the College of Knowledge to become my friend's Disney expert for her Travel Agency. I haven't seen it yet, but it's been ordered. A couple of questions -

1. How hard is it? How long does it take to really know the material?

2. If I do this and pass, the extra commission money will go straight into my ING Disney vacation account. Can I expect it to be a big help?

Thanks!

I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for posting all the info!!

Hmmm... if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

They ask for a lot of private info plus your credit card info and the site isn't secure... Be careful with this one. I would not be surprised if you get deluged with junk mail and spam.

I missed this the first time I read this thread, but you do have to go back to the site and send in a voucher to claim the gift card after they are notified you completed the offer.

I almost missed that step! I just assumed they'd send the gc.

Thanks for the link!

I just tried this and even the Blockbuster "free trial" requires your credit card so they may continue to charge you the monthly rate. So much for free. Thanks for the tip, though. Threehearts

I tried it and only had to purchse a small tube of wrinkle cream, I checked my account and it says i'm eligible for the $75 gift card, but when I went to print out the voucher, the page does not show up correctly !!! I tried it a few different times ! I tried E-mailing the help dept. so we'll see what happens !! Thanks for that tip ! hope it works out !!

BE CAREFUL and read the privacy policy. Use a disposable email address, and be aware that you could be letting yourself in to have your snail mail info. and phone number sold as well. Even if you are on the "Do Not Call" list, doing business with a company that works with lots of other companies counts as starting a "business relationship" with them and gives them carte blanche to call you. You might want to sign up for a free voicemail account at k7.net if you like to do offers like this in order to protect your real phone number.

I used one of the links three weeks ago and now the website says I am eligible for my gift card. The voucher wouldn't print from the web page, but when I copied and pasted it to a word doc., it did.

I'm mailing it in, so we'll see!

I didn't receive an email telling me I'm eligible, so I'm glad I kept checking back on the website.

Just a FYI on this....... I was able to send out the voucher and now i'm waiting for the gift card, but in the meantime I checked the card I used (I always check to make sure it's correct) and found a $59 charge from the same company I bought that wrinkle cream from !! the little tube I originally bought for this offer was about $3.00 and that was charged last month and now I see this new charge from that same company !! I contacted my card and put a dispute in for the charge, do you think i'll have any trouble with this ??? Ugg I'll never do this again !! I've learned my lesson "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" !!

And thank you to whoever pointed out that you needed to complete the voucher to have them send the giftcard. I printed up my voucher today for $75 VISA gift card. I enrolled in the free trial for blockbuster.com and I got 2 free movie rentals for November and 2 more for December. I love free spending money!!!

I don't know if anyone is still reading this thread, but it really did work. I got my $75 gift card in the mail yesterday!! Thank you so much for the tip!!!
