Always loved National - Emerald aisle is fun. It's familiar as we've used it nearly every trip.
Trip is next week. Car is for one day so I can shop for the GV @ OKW

National
MCO - WDW car care center = 24 hours

Rate = 78.39

Budget
MCO - Doubletree @ WDW = 23 hours (location closes at 6:00)

Rate = 43.27

78.39 - 43.27 = 35.12 SAVINGS - It's almost half of the cost

The difference will be walking to DTD from the new location - not travelling that day with children so it should be a cinch and having the car one less hour because of the location closing time.

Lesson = pays to compare and go outside the comfort zone

Agreed. I am a die-hard National fan, but at some point it becomes ridiculous to pay extra for your own loyalty. Good score...have a great trip.

Wow! That's a good savings. I haven't booked our rental car yet. I've been leaning towards National though we used to use Avis all the time. I will check out Budget. Thanks!
