It's 1:45 AM and I couldn't sleep, so I figured I'd check to see if there were any new rental car deals out there.

I had a good ressie with Dollar for a compact car with a weekly rate of $114.49 ($147 with taxes/fees).

Well tonight (or should I say this morning?) the same car was $97 ($127 with tax). Instead, I upgraded to an intermediate size (Dodge Stratus) for $107.45 ($139.31 with tax). So I saved $8 and got a little bigger car. The $12 difference between the Neon and Startus was not a big deal, so I thought I'd get a little more luggage room. And that was with no code. When I punched in the KISS code the base rate for a compact was $159 + tax.

At least my sleepless night (so far) wasn't in vain!

It CERTAINLY does... Our minivan rental went from 400.00 to 280.00 for 8 days!! We are thrilled! We were thinking about only renting the 1st and last day to make it cheaper now we don't have too!!
