Okay guys, I finally did it. I called and spoke to a CM to see if there was a code attached to my name. Well, there was not but there was one attached to my mother's name. (she is going with us) We just booked a last minute trip to the Poly. We are leaving Thurs and coming home Saturday night. (we only live 3 hours away). We got a rate of $298. a night. I'm so excited. Pixie dust never happens to me. If you are out the looking for a decent rate, make sure you ask about those pins. I had almost booked us at The Dolphin with the teacher discount. I'm glad I gave Disney a call. I will let you know how everything goes!!!!

When I called to see if there are any PINS attached to my name, the CM told me they can't tell me if there are or aren't, I just have to know based on emails and mailing offers I've recieved. That kind of stinks for me, lol.

I would call back and try a different cm. I never had any luck until today. The lady I spoke to was very helpful. Like I said, I was ready to book at the dolphin because I did not want to pay full price on property. It would of cost me $208 plus tax a night just to stay at POR rack rate. I would try again. I know that some disers are against that but it is hard to pay rack rate when every other hotel in the US is discounted right now.

Yes call back cuz you CAN give them your phone number they looked up mine for me when i accidentally trashed mine. Yep they pulled up exact e-mail I deleted! This was just last week! It's amazing how some people do t here jobs and others don't. GL

I called two days ago and the CM said they no longer do this, they only send them out via mail or email. I told him that I had a friend call recently(okay it may have been a little white lie) and they had a pin attached to their name, he said that the pin probably has been attached to their name from a while ago and that is why they were able to use it. I think disney needs to do a lot better with their CMs, you should not get different answers every time you call

I figured I give another call and as I am writing this I am talking to a CM and he said yes he will look and asked for my last name. I gave him my name, and DW & DD first names and he found a 40% code attached to my DW name. So I am having him see if I can use it on our trip in 2 weeks. I could not use it for our upcoming trip(blackout dates), but he said it is good through december 21st.
Here is what I have learned DIS board still rules, Disney needs to do a better job with their CMs, the live chat people cannot check to see if you have a PIN attached to you they will give you the reservation number to call and finally when asking make sure you give all the names of your family members.

I agree with this! I am anxiously waiting for a discount rate for two nights in mid June to finish a DVC stay. Good for you!

Would it be possible to have a FD code attached to your name now, or do you only have a chance at FD during a special time? It's strange because we never get special PIN codes or anything, we are Disney Visa Cardmembers for at least 5 years and have taken cruises on DCL many times, haven't visited WDW since 2004 though. We live in the West and usually visit DL and are AP holders for DL now since it's closer to us, would that be why we don't get special PINS for WDW?
